Helen Mirren In Nicholas Oakwell Couture – 2013 BAFTA Awards

Helen Mirren In Nicholas Oakwell Couture - 2013 BAFTA AwardsDame Helen Mirren joined the ranks of hair chameleon Katy Perry and lavender-loving Kelly Osbourne with her shocking new ‘do, which she debuted at the 2013 BAFTA Awards on Sunday at the Royal Opera House in London, England.

To go with her hair, the Leading Actress nominee chose a long-sleeve gown from the Nicholas Oakwell Spring 2013 Couture runway.

Featuring floral embroidery, the chiffon dress was somewhat weighed down with its heavy lining and that shiny silver wrap. But at least she didn’t up her BAFTAs surprise factor even more by wearing the gown in its original, see-through runway incarnation.

It didn’t really matter what she had on, though, as her cotton-candy pixie cut was the main attraction.

She quoted ‘America’s Next Top Model’ as her inspiration behind the hair hue. My jaw is still on the floor.

Known for her classic grace on the red carpet, this was quite the scandalous departure for Helen.

She certainly gave the fellow Nicholas-Oakwell-outfitted Paloma Faith a run for her money in the hair department.

Helen Mirren In Badgley Mischka – 2013 Golden Globe Awards

Helen Mirren In Badgley Mischka - 2013 Golden Globe Awards

Looking chic with an edge, Helen Mirren stepped took to the red carpet at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in LA on Sunday evening for the 2013 Golden Globe Awards upstaging starlets half her age.

Helen proved that fierce style knows no age boundaries as she turned heads in a fabulous Badgley Mischka Pre-Fall 2013 gown.

Her black gown shimmered with intricate gold beaded accents, and she capped it all off with a simple gold clutch.

The contrast between the black and the gold was not only the perfect touch of old-Hollywood glamour, but also proved to stand out amongst a sea of nude tones on the carpet at this year’s Globes.

I love that Helen opted for long sleeves (a choice that seemed to be deemed smart in the surprisingly low LA temperatures) and that she opted for a relaxed wavy bob hairstyle.

Helen Mirren In Escada – 24th Annual Palm Springs International Film Festival Gala

Helen Mirren In Escada - 24th Annual Palm Springs International Film Festival

Helen Mirren was back on the red carpet again for the 24th Annual Palm Springs International Film Festival Gala, which was held at the Palm Springs Convention Center in California on Saturday evening.

She made a bold statement in a red Escada Fall 2012 evening gown with a Tory Burch clutch, but the gorgeous David Webb jewelry around her neck and wrists nearly stole the spotlight.

The gown features a woven detail at the centre – so figure flattering – and sheer long sleeves for added elegance.

I love everything about this ensemble, including Helen’s soft makeup and subtly tucked hair that don’t distract from the glamour below.

It appears Helen may have swapped her Dolce addiction for an Escada one.

Helen Mirren In Escada – Hollywood Walk of Fame Unveiling

Helen Mirren In Escada - Hollywood Walk of Fame Unveiling

Dame Helen Mirren was honoured with her own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in a ceremony held outside the Pig ‘n Whistle pub in Hollywood, California, no doubt to her delight.

The British actress, who towards the latter part of the year had a strong Dolce & Gabbana addiction, opted for a very elegant Escada look on this occasion.

Helen teamed a periwinkle v-neck jersey dress with a matching light-weight leather coat from the Resort 2013 collection.

The colour couldn’t be more perfect for her: she’s glowing, the colour really brings out her eyes.

Stuart Weitzman ‘Diplille’ nude peep-toes, a lime-green Lana Marks crocodile clutch and Neil Lane jewels completed her BDOTW-worthy look.

Helen Mirren In Dolce & Gabbana – ‘Hitchcock’ London Premiere

Dame Helen Mirren was joined by Sir Anthony Hopkins on the red carpet at the BFI Southbank in London yesterday evening for the premiere of their new movie, ‘Hitchcock’.

The forever-young actress wore Dolce & Gabbana again, but she didn’t wear another black-and-gold lace frock: instead, she opted for a floral creation, styled with a black wool Dolce & Gabbana cape coat, black opera gloves and tights.

Looking as gorgeous and impeccably dressed as always, she added a touch of sparkle via her embellished booties, with a black leather clutch and pearl-drop earrings completing her look.

Helen Mirren In Dolce & Gabbana – 25th European Film Awards

Helen Mirren attended the 25th European Film Awards at the Mediterranean Conference Centre in Valletta, Malta on Saturday evening.

Yes, she did it again by wearing a black lace Dolce & Gabbana dress with gold embroidery.

Her run started at the ‘Hitchcock’ New York premiere, followed by the LA premiere and here we are again.

While this full-length gown is my favourite of the three, I’m at the enough’s enough point.

The finale of the Dolce & Gabbana Fall 2012 collection showcased at least 20 of these black-and-gold lace pieces, so I’m kinda praying we don’t have a four-peat.

Ending on a positive note, the grand Dame looks absolutely divine.
