25th IFP Gotham Independent Film Awards Red Carpet Roundup

25th IFP Gotham Independent Film Awards Red Carpet Roundup

Here is a quick roundup of those who joined Julianne Moore and Emmy Rossum for the 25th IFP Gotham Independent Film Awards on Monday (November 30) in New York City.

Rachel McAdams: The actress wore a tailored Noam Hanoch jumpsuit, cast with point d’esprit lace insets for a sensual touch.

Helen Mirren: The British actress has worn this Dolce & Gabbana dress a few times now. She could wear it 100 times, yet it won’t make me like that this scribble print design.

Sarah Paulson: By far my best dressed at this event, the actress was looking sleek and sexy wearing Cushine et Ochs Resort 2016 dress with cold-shoulder cut-outs lending a fiercely modern sensibility to this bold LBD.

Academy Of Motion Picture Arts And Sciences’ 7th Annual Governors Awards Red Carpet Roundup

Academy Of Motion Picture Arts And Sciences’ 7th Annual Governors Awards Red Carpet Roundup

Here is a roundup of the presenters and guests who attended the 7th annual Governors Awards on Saturday (November 14) in Los Angeles, California.

Cate Blanchett: Looking so very statuesque, the Australian actress wore an Armani Privé black asymmetrical modernistic with black velvet trousers. Her classic, yet modern look was styled with Casadei cut-out sandals.

Saoirse Ronan: The ‘Brooklyn’ actress brought some much needed colour to the event dressed in an Emilia Wickstead Fall 2015 pleated and printed frock styled with Alexander McQueen heels. I love the additional pop of pink to the lips.

Zooey Deschanel: While this Kate Spade New York colour-block fit and flare dress is perfectly in tune with Zooey’s style, I don’t feel it was quite right for this occasion. The look was styled with Wolford tights.

Helen Mirren In Badgley Mischka – Tokyo International Film Festival 2015 Opening Ceremony

Helen Mirren In Badgley Mischka - Tokyo International Film Festival 2015 Opening Ceremony

Helen Mirren attended the opening ceremony of the Tokyo International Film Festival at Roppongi Hills this evening (October 22) in Japan.

The British actress looked as graceful as ever gliding down the red carpet wearing a Badgley Mischka floral embroidered and beaded long sleeve ball gown.

However, if I was to nitpick, I would say that the embroideries on the sleeves were perhaps overdone and – as always – I wish there was a more flawless way to create an illusion overlay.

2015 Toronto Film Festival Weekend Roundup

roundup

The 2015 Toronto International Film Festival red carpet was filled with even more stars this past weekend. Here, a look at the beauties making the rounds at the premieres.

Toni Colette: The actress brought her own sunshine in tow at the ‘Miss You Already’ premiere, where she swept onto the scene in an Oscar de la Renta white shell top and a bustling marigold-yellow skirt hailing from the Resort 2016 collection. I wanted to take a steamer to the skirt and strip that gold cuff away from the look, which was completed with an Edie Parker pearlescent clutch.

Saoirse Ronan: I didn’t find this Chanel Resort 2015 speckled sweater and white trouser combo all that flattering nor all that appropriate as her ‘Brooklyn’ premiere outfit. She finished the casual look with Giuseppe Zanotti sandals.

Jane Fonda: While Saoirse may have seemed underdressed, that same sentiment cannot be said for Jane who pulled out all the stops in a Yves Saint Laurent Couture by Hedi Slimane gold gown styled with an equally golden YSL clutch at the ‘Youth’ premiere. She definitely had the Midas fever.

Helen Mirren In L.K. Bennett & Dolce & Gabbana – 2015 Ischia Global Film & Music Fest

Helen Mirren In LK Bennett & Dolce & Gabbana - 2015 Ischia Global Film & Music Fest

Helen Mirren attended 2015 Ischia Global Film & Music Fest showcasing her red carpet style on day 4 and 5 of the festival this weekend in Ischia, Italy.

Look 1: I love the 50s style charm imbued in this L.K. Bennett pink and grey print dress. The sandals were perfectly appropriate for the laidback vibe of this festival, which were countered by the sophisticated pearls.

Look 2: The following day Helen wore a look from her favourite brand: Dolce & Gabbana. I can’t say I’m a huge fan of this style of dress on Helen, or the overwhelming child-like sketch. I would only save the earrings, pearls and pumps from this look.
