Hayley Atwell In Julien Macdonald – ‘Captain America: The Winter Soldier’ London Premiere

Hayley Atwell In Julien Macdonald - ‘Captain America The Winter Soldier’ London PremiereHayley Atwell was also at the ‘Captain America: The Winter Soldier’ London premiere on Thursday night (March 20), where she joined Scarlett Johansson on the ‘blue’ carpet at Westfield London.

After debuting a more demure gown at the Los Angeles premiere, the actress returned to the sexier, high-octane fashion habitat of Julien MacDonald for her London look.

Her Fall 2014 dove-grey dress, enhanced with a dynamic firework pattern of feathery, metallic adornment, had all the signatures of the designer’s fall collection—piles of intricate decoration, beading and sequins galore, and plenty of skin-baring peekaboo details.

Still, I don’t find myself totally discounting this look. Even with the revealing cutout at the bodice, this frock treads on the righter side of sophisticated—at least when compared to some of her prior Julien MacDonald moments.

Her boldest accessory was that pair of fire-engine-red Christian Louboutin pumps, with Messika Paris bracelet and snake ring, alongside a silver Zagliani clutch, echoing the embellishment of the dress.

Hit or miss?

Hayley Atwell In Temperley London – ‘Captain America: The Winter Soldier’ LA Premiere

Hayley Atwell joined Scarlett Johansson for the premiere of Marvel’s ‘Captain America: The Winter Soldier’ at the El Capitan Theatre on Thursday (March 13) in Hollywood, California.

The British actress wore a Temperley London Pre-Fall 2014 beautifully feminine textured gown with soft crepe pin-tuck layers, sheer sleeves and an exposing lace slit in the skirt for a feminine look.

Sweeping her hair over to one side, she added gorgeous yellow-diamond drop earrings and a tantalizing red lip to her look.

As we know, Hayley’s style can be very hit and miss – especially when selecting Julien Macdonald gowns – but this is the best I have seen her in a while. Pretty and sexy without trying too hard.

Hayley Atwell In Jasper Conran – British Independent Film Awards 2013

Hayley Atwell In Jasper Conran - British Independent Film Awards 2013

I was delighted to see Hayley Atwell stay on the elegant path while taking to the red carpet at the British Independent Film Awards 2013 held at Old Billingsgate Market in London yesterday evening.

Celebrating British fashion, she wore a Jasper Conran Spring 2014 black sleeveless gown with a ball-skirt and contrasting white Peter Pan collar, which she complemented with a white Jimmy Choo snakeskin clutch.

While some might think this is a school-marmish frock, I really love the simple elegance of the look.

Hayley Atwell In Holly Fulton – British Fashion Awards 2013

Hayley Atwell In Holly Fulton - British Fashion Awards 2013

Hayley Atwell managed to redeem herself on the red carpet on Monday for the 2013 British Fashion Awards held at the London Coliseum in England, following the Evening Standard Theatre Awards.

The looks couldn’t be more different.

On this occasion she selected an uber-girlie Holly Fulton Spring 2014 long-sleeved gown featuring a multi-coloured floral embroidered top and full floral-print skirt with a single pleat revealing a contrasting print.

While some might think this is too summery for the occasion, I found the look to be very refreshing as it livened up the red carpet, plus it was lighter than air so moved so beautifully.

A quiffed ponytail, glossy pink lip and stingray Anya Hindmarch ‘Imperial’ clutch completed her look.

Hayley Atwell In Julien Macdonald – Evening Standard Theatre Awards

Hayley Atwell In Julien Macdonald - Evening Standard Theatre Awards

Hayley Atwell attended the Evening Standard Theatre Awards held at The Savoy Hotel in London yesterday evening.

She wore a Julien Macdonald Spring 2014 white tulle gown with strategically placed feathers and embellishments which doesn’t work for me at all.

To start with, the dress doesn’t quite feel event appropriate for a theatre awards.

Like her last Julien Macdonald attention grabber, she’s a tad too well endowed for this dress, and the sparse feathers make her look half plucked.

When it comes to the styling, the red nails and lips are too stark for the look, and the gold jewels and Stark clutch don’t complement the silver embellishments on her dress.

It’s sadly an all-round no for me.
