2018 MTV Movie And TV Awards Red Carpet Roundup

Here is a roundup from the 2018 MTV Movie And TV Awards on Saturday (June 16) in Santa Monica, California.

Yara Shahidi: The ‘Black-ish’ star continues to set the standard wearing a custom Tory Burch ice blue pin-striped blazer and wide leg trouser combo. The look felt fresh from the colour to the obi style wrap belt.

Storm Reid: The ‘ A Wrinkle in Time’ actress always serves up girlie fashion in the most adorable way, and that was very much the case with her Viktor and Rolf Soir Spring 2018 bow accented dress and silver Schutz sandals combo.

Aubrey Plaza: When it comes to this Elisabetta Franchi Fall 2018 dress it’s the sleeves that want to garner the most attention, but they are upstaged by the oversized bows and micro length. Jimmy Choo pumps completed the look.

Halsey In Redemption – 2018 Billboard Music Awards

I know many of you aren’t fans of high-low (aka mullet) gowns, but one place where they do work is an event like the Billboard Music Awards, which took place on Sunday (May 20) in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Halsey brought plenty of drama to the red carpet with her look which hails from Redemption’s Fall 2018 collection.

I may be alone, but I would’ve preferred the printed version.

Her dress almost feels, dare I say, safe, by her standards. But her look does allow her to focus on accessories which included Roger Vivier sandals and jewels from Lorraine Schwartz.

Halsey In J. Mendel – 9th Annual Blossom Ball

Halsey attended the Endometriosis Foundation of America’s 9th Annual Blossom Ball on Monday (March 19) in New York City.

The musician wore a J. Mendel Fall 2018 high-neck, long-sleeve gown; which is the most amount of fabric she has worn in a long while, yet I’m sure many will object to the visible bodysuit.

i adore the dress on the model, so colour me crazy, when I say that I kinda like this look on Halsey. She may not have toned down her signature style, but she did put it on mute, with a softer approach which I appreciate.

Does anyone see the modern approach to glamour here, or is it another no from you to Halsey’s red carpet style?

Eva Fehren rings and the Sylva & Cie faceted rough diamond thorn studs completed her look.

Lorraine Schwartz ‘Eye Bangles’ Collection Launch

‘The Eye Bangles’ Lorraine Schwartz launch, in addition to her signature Against Evil Eye Collection, was celebrated on Tuesday (March 13) in Hollywood. Naturally her biggest fans Rita Ora, Blake Lively and Sofia Vegara were in attendance.

Rita Ora: In recent times when we see La Perla looks on the red carpet, they tend to be suits (think Joanne Froggatt, Fan Bingbing and Gwyneth Paltrow), but Rita Ora opted embrace the luxury brand for what it’s historically know for – lingerie. Even with the robe covering most of the look, there is no escaping the fact that she is wearing a nightgown underneath. Thankfully her Lorraine Schwartz jewels provide some distraction.

Blake Lively: Probably the designer biggest fan, the actress opted to keep things simple with a Brandon Maxwell Spring 2018 LBD, allowing the jewels to be the focus. I love how her medley of Lorraine Schwartz bracelets complement her Christian Louboutin ‘ Galeria’ sandals.

Kim Kardashian: Without the oversized blazers and the pink hair, I have to say this was a surprisingly simple and refreshing look for Kim.

Halsey In Raisa & Vanessa and Galia Lahav Couture – 2018 iHeartRadio Music Awards

Halsey opted for yet another provocative look for the 2018 iHeartRadio Music Awards on Sunday (March 11) in Inglewood, California.

While dangerously short, I immediately saw the fun side in her Raisa & Vanessa Fall 2018 animal print two-piece look.

Mostly because my first thought was Halsey is channeling a grown up, rebellious Pebbles Flintstone.

Her second look saw her wear her second look from Galia Lahav’s Spring 2018 Couture collection within a week.

On this occasion she opted for a fetishist vision of the classic little black dress. I much preferred this over her first look.
