Halle Berry Catherine Malandrino – ‘Cloud Atlas’ Moscow Premiere

It was yet another tight black dress for Halle Berry who took to the red carpet last night on a cold night in Russia, for the ‘Cloud Atlas’ Moscow premiere held at the Oktyabr Cinema Hall.

The actress stuck to her ‘if it ain’t broke don’t fix it’ rule of red-carpet dressing by wearing an uber-sexy Catherine Malandrino dress.

Her black leather dress with sheer sleeves and sheer panels was styled with black pumps.

I’m rolling my eyes but admiring how amazing she looks at the same time.

This dress appears to be made for her.

Black earrings and a large cocktail ring completed her look.

Halle Berry In Dolce & Gabbana – ‘Cloud Atlas’ LA Premiere

Halle Berry returned to the red carpet last night to promote her latest movie ‘Cloud Atlas’, held at Grauman’s Chinese Theatre in Hollywood, California.

The actress, who walked the red carpet with fiancé Olivier Martinez, wore a Dolce & Gabbana silver floral lace strapless dress.

Her sexy frock was styled with grey Versace platform pumps and stunning dangling diamond-encrusted earrings.

Although it’s not black, I have a strong feeling I’ve seen her in something similar to this before. Her style just never seems to change.

Halle Berry In Hervé Léger by Max Azria – ‘We Will Always Love You: A Grammy Salute to Whitney Houston’

Halle Berry attended the ‘We Will Always Love You: A Grammy Salute to Whitney Houston’ TV special which was taped at the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live in California on Thursday.

The actress wore yet another LBD. This time she selected a bandage dress from the Hervé Léger by Max Azria Spring 2012 collection.

Her figure-hugging dress accented with a tribal-inspired and gold-embellished halter neckline was styled with black satin Jimmy Choo ‘Tema’ sandals with a gold-embellished heel.

Square hooped earrings and her neutral makeup completed her look.

Halle Berry In Roland Mouret – 2012 Variety’s Annual Power Of Women Event

Halle Berry hit the red carpet on Friday night, for the 2012 Variety’s Annual Power Of Women event at the Beverly Wilshire Four Seasons Hotel in California.

The actress wore the extremely popular Roland Mouret ‘Galaxy’ dress.

The reason this dress keeps returning to the red carpet seven years on, is because it is a timeless classic. I’m sure seven years from now, it will still be around, and I for one will not be tired of seeing it.

Both Beyonce Knowles and Victoria Beckham have worn versions of this dress this year.

Halle’s black fitted dress with an open neckline and cap sleeves was styled with a thin black leather belt, black Jimmy Choo ‘Anouk’ pumps and dangling diamond earrings.

The only thing which would’ve made this look better is if Halle had shortened it a few inches.

Neutral makeup including a glossy nude lip and her signature pixie hairstyle completed her look.

Halle Berry In Roberto Cavalli & Monique Lhuillier – ‘Cloud Atlas’ Toronto Film Festival Premiere

Halle Berry attended the ‘Cloud Atlas’ premiere during the Toronto Film Festival over the weekend.

The actress took a style risk in a Roberto Cavalli trouser suit from the designer’s Fall 2012 collection for the showing.

While Halle looked her ever-beautiful self on the red carpet, the same can’t be said for her outfit. Yes, trousers suits are de rigueur right now, but this one is not working for me.

The jacket is well-cut and might be OK if style with something else.

The pants, on the other hand, look dated and the pattern on the sheer Monique Lhuillier blouse is too busy when clashed against the purple print. And, Halle, do we really need to be seeing your bra?

What do you think?

Beauty Trend Spotting: Red Carpet Curls

Summer is here and with it comes a more relaxed get-up-go approach to hair.

So it looks like we’re waving goodbye to the ironed-flat Brazilian Blow-out and relaxers and saying “Hello curls”, or in Halle’s words, “This is what you call wash-and-wear beach hair. It’s ready to go!”

Singers Brandy Norwood and Solange Knowles have also gone for grown-out bouncy curls recently, but whether your ringlets are real or have been given a helping hand with a curling iron or hair extensions, the secret is a great conditioner according to stylist Oscar James, whose clients include Tyra Banks, Vanessa Williams, Halle Berry, Iman and Beyonce.

‘It’s paramount that you start with deep conditioner always,’ he says. ‘Deep conditioning means healthy hair.’

* Here are Oscar’s tips for a great head of curls:

* Shampoo the hair, give it a great conditioner and use heat on it.

* Then rinse and blow it dry. I don’t really use a product before blowing out because when you put heat on a product, hair tends to look oily.

* Use a quarter-size iron to curl all around in no real pattern, and curl it haphazardly to get free-form curls in all directions.

* Finish with a holding spray and a little pomade to give shine and texture and help the curls stay where you put them.
