Red Carpet Fashion Awards

Hailee Steinfeld would’ve been the guest of honor at the Miu Miu Presents Lucrecia Martel’s “Muta” event in LA last night, as she’s currently face of the Miu Miu Fall 2011 ad campaign.

The 14 year old actress looked absolutely adorable wearing a Miu Miu pale pink sheath dress with beaded Peter Pan collar.

She accessorized with a matching satin Prada clutch and nude Miu Miu patent peep-toes.

A half up-half down hair style completed her look.

I wish to see more of this and less of the aging looks.

Fall 2011 ad campaigns have started to be unveiled, but the one’s that stand out are by Miu Miu and Marc by Marc Jacobs, who chose two up and coming teenage actresses to front their campaigns.

Miu Miu have featured Oscar-nominated actress Hailee Steinfeld in their campaign after the young star has worn the brand to several events including this years’ BAFTA Awards and the Young Hollywood Awards.

The 14 year old actress has also worn Miu Miu’s big sister Prada on several occasions, most notably to the SAG Awards.

This campaign was shot by renowned photographer Bruce Weber who captured the young star looking like a seasoned professional.

It’s a beautiful photo which suits the vibe of the collection very well.

Marc by Marc Jacobs chose 13 year old ‘Super 8′ actress Elle Fanning for their Fall 2011 campaign.

This is a striking image shot by Juergen Teller who also captures the young actress in an outdoor setting.

Elle is a brilliant choice for these ads and I love the intensity of her stare.

It’s ironic how she also attended the Young Hollywood Awards wearing the brand in which she represents in this ad.

Elle has also worn the also worn Marc Jacobs on several occasions, most recently to the Women In Film Crystal + Lucy Awards.

Both photographs are amazing, so it’s extremely hard to choose a favourite.

Hailee’s ad feels more high fashion, whilst Elle’s is classic Marc by Marc Jacobs and represents the brand perfectly.

If I had to pick I would go with Miu Miu’s, as I adore the styling of the clothes and the rural setting.

I was so happy to see Hailee Steinfeld sporting a more youthful look at the “Cars 2″ LA Premiere this weekend.

The teenage star has been opting for some very grown up odd choices lately.

I still don’t get what her MTV Movie Awards and the ironically titled Young Hollywood Awards looks were all about.

On this occasion she wore a Philosophy di Alberta Ferretti Spring 2011 dress.

Her strapless printed dress was paired with a denim jacket, Jimmy Choo ‘Youth’ boots and a complementary yellow H&M clutch.

I wouldn’t have added the biker boots, but I get what her stylist was thinking when adding them to her look.

Anything too fussy would’ve defeated the object of making this look youthful and approachable.

Try Being 14 Again Award
I was just doing one final sweep of Getty before I shut up shop on the 2011 MTV Movie Awards and I seriously had to do a double take on Hailee Steinfeld.

I honestly thought Getty had got her name wrong, because this can’t be the 14 year old girl we fell in love with earlier this year.

Every time I see her on the red carpet she ages another 10 years.

Was she really going to the MTV movie awards, or was she on her way to a job interview?

Thankfully her green stripped Edie Parker clutch add a youthful touch to this look.

Aging Award
Hailee Steinfeld attended the 2011 Young Hollywood Awards on Friday in LA.

The new face of Miu Miu arrived wearing a look from the Miu Miu Fall 2011 collection.

As suspected, this is not working for me.

Her ensemble consists of a white top and a black skirt with a peplum skirt overlay.

I’m sure the campaign will look amazing, but she would’ve fared better being the face of the Spring 2011 collection.

What we loved about Hailee when she first started making red carpet appearances was her ability to wear designer clothes whilst still maintaining her youth.

Unfortunately this look sucks that right out of Hailee and ages her by about 10 years.

I do however love her super glossy wavy hair.

Pink lips and Miu Miu glitter pumps completed Hailee’s look.

Here is the final round up from the 2011 Met Gala.

Salma Hayek wore a costume Alexander McQueen peach organza rose dress. We have all questioned her McQueen choices in the past, but this type of gown is perfect for her. She accessorized with a McQueen clutch and Gucci jewels.

Margherita Missoni is her own best brand ambassador. She was glowing wearing an ombre Missoni Fall 2011 knit dress with a feathered skirt.

Sofia Vergara wore a Carolina Herrera strapless blossom print faille gown. Like Renee she’s found the perfect designer for her. So refreshing not to see her twins spilling out.

Anna Dello Russo chose a masculine military Alexander McQueen look which included a black duchesse satin tailcoat, white shirt and gold fern embroidered pants.

I love the look, she’s been doing the masculine thing a lot lately, but that Egg on her head is bordering on GaGa terrority. Ridiculous.
