Gwendoline Christie In Giles – 2015 SAG Awards

Gwendoline Christie In Giles - 2015 SAG Awards

Gwendoline Christie joined her ‘Game of Thrones’ castmates at the 2015 SAG Awards held on Sunday evening (January 25) at The Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, California.

The actress wore a cherry-red Giles dress with matching red lipstick.

Despite the red hot color, this look left me cold. The dress is pretty but the fabric is so rumpled that it’s all I can look at and the earrings don’t quite gel with the overall look.

On the beauty front, the lipstick is too matchy-matchy for my taste. And it looks like she was going for a modern interpretation of finger waves in her hair but it comes off looking a bit undone.

Gwendoline Christie attended the Harper’s Bazaar Women of the Year Awards held at Claridge’s Hotel on Tuesday (November 4) in London, England, where she picked up the British Actress award.

The ‘Game of Thrones’ actress glided down the red carpet looking very statuesque and beautiful wearing a Giles Spring 2015 white caped gown.

This is such a powerful silhouette, made all the more intriguing by the leopard’s claw on the shoulder, which will prevent it from being labelled a Tom Ford/Gwynie Oscar gown reboot.

Opting not to add jewels, Gwendoline styled her look with a blue Rauwolf clutch.

Gwendoline Christie In Vivienne Westwood Gold Label – Johnnie Walker Gold Label Reserve and Vanity Fair Venice Film Festival Party

Gwendoline Christie attended the Johnnie Walker Gold Label Reserve and Vanity Fair party held during the Venice Film Festival on Saturday (August 30) in Venice, Italy.

The ‘Game of Thrones’ actress wore a Vivienne Westwood Gold Label Spring 2014 sheer dress with silver swirling stripes, modified from the runway to fill in the midriff.

Keeping the style simple so as not to upstage her gorgeous dress, she accessorized with simple black pumps, a silver panther ring and a black and silver Edie Parker clutch.

Beauty-wise, she swept her blonde hair back, highlighting her eyes and adding gloss to her lips.

Gwendoline Christie In Giles & Peter Pilotto – Comic-Con 2014 & Entertainment Weekly’s Annual Comic-Con Celebration

Gwendoline Christie In Giles & Peter Pilotto - Comic-Con 2014 & Entertainment Weekly's Annual Comic-Con Celebration
Gwendoline Christie was also in attendance at Comic-Con 2014 in San Diego, California, where she made two completely different style statements over the weekend.

‘Game of Thrones’ Panel: At Friday’s event at the San Diego Convention Center, the British actress again wore one of her favourite designers, Giles Deacon, flaunting a Giles Resort 2015 A-line frock—sans the lookbook peplum. The indigo tie-dyed print followed suit with the whimsical punchiness of the collection, but Gwendoline made the dress all her own via glam, old-Hollywood styling. With her platinum-blonde retro waves, coral-red lip and metallic gold sandals, she was nothing short of a mod Marilyn Monroe.

Entertainment Weekly’s Annual Comic-Con Celebration: For Saturday’s party at the Hard Rock Hotel, she switched out of her Marilyn-esque mood, instead cladding her statuesque frame in a Peter Pilotto Fall 2014 gem-embellished top and skirt, which was made appropriate for summer with the removal of the sleeves. She and Vera Farmiga were evidently drinking from the same Pilotto Kool-Aid, yet this pink hue wouldn’t be my first choice for Gwendoline.

Gwendoline Christie In Giles – 2014 Fragrance Foundation Awards

Gwendoline Christie In Giles - 2014 Fragrance Foundation Awards

Gwendoline Christie attended the 2014 Fragrance Foundation Awards on Monday (June 16) in New York City.

The British actress wore a dress from one of her favourite designers: Giles Deacon.

This sneak peek at the designers upcoming Spring 2015 collection features a flamingo print etched by Illustrator Donald Robertson, who accompanied the actress to this event.

This work of art was truly celebrated when Donald held aloft her train to reveal more of the print.

Apart from the feel-good factor, the summery colour and the vibrant print, I love that at 6ft 3in (1.91m) tall Gwendoline still wore white Louboutin heels.

If she’s anything like me she will often be asked, “Why do you wear heels?” to which I always reply, “Why not?”

A red satin clutch rounded out this gorgeous look.
