Glenn Close In Zac Posen – ‘The Wife’ Toronto Film Festival Premiere

Glenn Close was in very good spirits for the Toronto Film Festival premiere for ‘The Wife’ on Thursday (September 14).

The actress was the epitome of grace wearing an Zac Posen Resort 2016 halterneck dress that delivered modern elegance, with cutaway panels enhancing the look further.

Glenn Close In Zac Posen – 2012 Oscars

Glenn Close gave many young starlets a run for their money on the red carpet at the 2012 Oscars, held in LA this evening.

She wore a Zac Posen Fall 2012 gown which was recently presented during New York Fashion Week.

Her forest green strapless gown with floral embroidered details was teamed with a matching blazer with wide satin lapels.

In the battle of the over 60s, Glenn wins over Meryl.

Do you agree?

Glenn Close In Stella McCartney – 2012 Academy Awards Nominations Luncheon

Glenn Close decided on a tropical look for the 84th Academy Awards Nominations Luncheon which was held at The Beverly Hilton Hotel in California earlier today.

The ‘Albert Nobbs’ actress donned a head-to-toe Stella McCartney Resort 2012 look which included a ‘Maxime’ Hawaiian print coat which she teamed with blue pants and a blue crepe top.

The rest of Glenn’s vivid look included a fuchsia Stella McCartney ‘Falabella’ clutch and nude wooden platform pumps.

Meryl Streep has been wearing a lot of Stella lately, but I would pass out if she wore this particular look.

Glenn Close In Armani Privé – ‘Albert Nobbs’ New York Screening

Glenn Close joined Mia Wasikowska on the red carpet in New York City last night for the screening of ‘Albert Nobbs’ which was held at the Modern Museum of Art.

The actress wore an Armani Prive Fall 2011 suit.

Glenn’s suit is slightly different to the look presented on the runway.

The runway look is velvet, whereas she opted for a crepe suit with a slightly different Japanese print on the sleeves and jacket opening.

She also opted for longer pants and black peep-toes.

Beautifully coiffed hair and dangling pearl earrings completed her look.

More From The Golden Globes Red Carpet

Penelope Cruz wore a Armani Privé Spring 2005 black gown with a mermaid tail.

I like the lace the detail around the bust a shoulder line but I’m a little bored by Penelope in black again.

I feel that she’s trying to channel her Spanish roots here but it somehow looks a little messy.

Glenn Close sparkled in this black Oscar de la Renta floor length Fall 2009 dress.

I just feel it isn’t special enough for the Globes.

The bust line of the dress and the bare shoulders make her arms look too muscular.

Rose Byrne wore a Lanvin Pre-Fall 2010 dress in a deep purple with a bow detail at the waist.

I’m glad Rose decided to wear the dress in this colour but I apart from that I’m left feeling a little bored.

Kate Hudson walked the red carpet in a Marchesa Bridal Spring 2010 gown with sculptured band bodice and bottom flared skirt.

I just can’t make you my mind about this. Part of me is thinking “what the hell?” and the other part doesn’t mind it so much.

I’ve never really got why stars wear bridal looks on the red carpet but I’m actually quite drawn to the sculpting on the dress.

The shoes are way too heavy though.

Jaime Pressly is shimmering in this Kevan Hall Spring 2010 dress with a split up one side.

I prefer this dress on the model as I feel that it has more of an impact against brunette hair.

I don’t think the champagne coloured clutch compliments this dress at all.

Jenna Fischer wore a dress from Halston’s Spring 2010 collection.

I like it but I don’t love it. I just can’t see how this dress is event appropriate. This is a star’s chance to shine and this dress is never going to deliver that moment.
