Pixie Cut Trend

When Beyonce chopped off her hair last week, it was one of the most shocking celebrity haircuts in quite a while. In all honesty, the cut was likely a combination of removing extensions and cutting some hair, but the results were surprisingly (Sasha) Fierce, and I’m excited to see Queen Bey rock her shorter ‘do–especially since many people associate her entire persona with her gorgeous long hair.

And right on Mrs. Carter’s heels was another dramatic hair change: Model Coca Rocha cut her mid-length tresses into a edgy cut–super short around the sides with a bit more length on the top. Keeping the extra length on the top will allow for lots of variety at photoshoots (as Coco has already revealed via Instagram), and the shorter length shows off the model’s striking bone structure far more than her previous look.

By cutting off their locks, these two ladies have joined the ranks of stars who have dared to go super short.

Robin Wright has been rocking a pixie for about a year now, and she showed off her low maintenance crop once again this week on the red carpet.

And Ginnifer Goodwin, who has one of the most famous (and long-lasting) pixie cuts in Hollywood loves her short cut so much that she actually writes it into her filming contracts–she gets to keep the hair short and wear wigs for roles!

To keep your own pixie looking chic day after day, use Short Sexy Hair Quick Change Shaping Balm to create a style that is easily reactivated the next day, and to shape your hair and hold it in place, Oscar Blandi’s Pronto Dry Sculpting Pomade is a great option. If it’s moisture and shine you want, try Carol’s Daughter Mimosa Hair Honey.

So what do you think? Are all these ladies rocking the short hair, or do you prefer them with longer locks?

Ginnifer Goodwin In Vionnet Demi Couture - Entertainment Weekly's Annual Comic-Con Celebration

Ginnifer Goodwin attended Entertainment Weekly’s annual Comic-Con celebration held at Float at Hard Rock Hotel San Diego in California on Saturday evening.

Comments on her previous look were that you found it shapeless and unflattering, so I have a feeling that this Vionnet Demi-Couture Pre-Fall 2013 look will have you feeling the same way.

Her jade-green crepe-de-chine mini dress with pleated tiered frills on the back was styled with a green leather Bottega Veneta clutch and taupe Louboutin pumps.

More inspiring footwear and better makeup would help me forgive the unflattering shape.

Ginnifer Goodwin In Derek Lam - 'Once Upon A Time' Press Line - Comic Con 2013

Ginnifer Goodwin joined co-star Jennifer Morrison at the ‘Once Upon A Time’ press line at Comic-Con 2013, hosted on Saturday at the San Diego Bayfront Hotel in California.

The pixie-perfect actress took her Snow-White role quite literally with this Derek Lam Resort 2014 tunic dress; one that will no doubt be plenty divisive with its apron-like quality.

The stark, deep V-neck design, with oversized pockets on each side, floated around Ginnifer’s frame. Its breezy looseness carried with it some measure of intrigue, but ultimately seemed out of place at Comic-Con.

She did add a bit of structure with her strict, grey pumps, whilst radiant desert-hued makeup created some warmth.

Trend-forward or too tent-like?

Ginnifer Goodwin In Theory - Disney Media Networks International Upfronts

While the Billboard Music Awards’ blue carpet was heating up in Las Vegas on Sunday, Ginnifer Goodwin walked a separate blue carpet at the Disney Media Networks International Upfronts at the Walt Disney Studios in California.

The ‘Once Upon a Time’ actress wore a black-and-white, pebble-print jumpsuit from the Theory Pre-Fall 2013 collection, which she paired with Brian Atwood ‘Evie’ peep-toe sandals.

I’m generally never one to argue with a jumpsuit. On this occasion, I found myself wanting to peel off the all-business black blazer to see the full effect of this sporty-chic silhouette.

Still, the sharp jacket was a nice counterpoint to all that print, but it also created a boxy silhouette at some angles. I would have added a belt to define the waist and break up the monochromatic pattern.

A cat-eye flick of black liner and a bright fuchsia lippie brought the star factor to this look.

Vogue and MAC Cosmetics Dinner Party

Many more stars attended the Vogue and MAC Cosmetics dinner hosted by Lisa Love and John Demsey in honour of Prabal Gurung at the Chateau Marmont in Los Angeles, California on Monday alongside Diane Kruger, Zoe Saldana and Jaime King.

Cody Horn: The ‘Magic Mike’ actress opted for a luxe tapestry pencil skirt with a matching short-sleeved top with black sleeves and a ruffled peplum. The black ankle boots wouldn’t have been my first choice with this look; however, Prabal Gurung looks and edgy accessories go hand in hand.

Hailee Steinfeld: The teen actress selected a navy silk dress featuring an embellished bib, which she styled with a black clutch and ecru Coach ‘Leighann’ sandals. You may remember her first Prabal Gurung moment was at the 2011 Golden Globe Awards.

Jena Malone: The indie actress opted for a decorative Prabal Gurung black-and-white frock paired with clear pvc heels with a black ankle strap. Had they not featured a visible ankle strap, it would’ve looked like she was barefooted.
