Red Carpet Fashion Awards

Here we have two British stars wearing a very popular French designer.

At the Selfridges Shoe Galleries launch last month, Gemma Arterton wore a navy Balmain tweed military jacket with Isabel Marant cropped leather pants from the Fall 2010 collection.

She completed her look with Christian Louboutin pigalle heels.

Victoria Beckham wore the same zipper detailed leather pants whilst out in London recently.

She added a simple Isabel Marant sweater and spiked Louboutin’s to her look.

Gemma looks ridiculous whereas Victoria looks super chilled in her effortless wannabee rock chick look which we would expect to see on someone like Kate Moss.

Also Victoria wore the right sized pants so she wins for me.

I’m sorry to be so frank, but at the official launch of the Shoe Galleries At Selfridges in London yesterday Gemma looked ridiculous.

She opted to wear a navy Balmain tweed military jacket with cropped leather Isabel Marant pants which are both from the Fall 2010 collections.

The jacket looks costumey and the leather cropped pants look at least 2 sizes too small.

After wowing us the last few weeks with simple classic looks, this comes off ‘try hard’.

The only good think about her look is her Christian Louboutin pigalle heels.

Are you sharing my disapproval of this look or to you like it?

Gemma Arterton is still making this ‘no fuss’ chic minimalist look work for her.

She attended her “Tamara Drewe” Premiere during the 2010 Toronto Film Festival this weekend looking sensation wearing a Lanvin strapless jumpsuit.

Once again she opted for fresh barely-there make-up and no jewels with black pumps and a black clutch.

My only problem with this look is that I wish the pants had been more fitted.

Other than that this is another great look for Gemma.

On first glance I thought Gemma Arterton looked really plain at the “Tamara Drew” London Premiere.

But within a blink of an eye I fell in love.

Her Grecian goddess look is very simple allowing her inner and true outer beauty to shine.

Sometimes I crave diva glamour so much that I forget simplicity is just as beautiful.

British actress Gemma Arterton was in New York last week to attend a screening of “The Disappearance of Alice Creed”.

Gemma chose an elegant grey Isabel Marant Fall 2010 ensemble which I’d always assumed was a dress.

The models look is plain grey, whilst Gemma’s look has a striped grey top with the runway draped skirt.

Gemma look is perfected with a sexy updo, smoky eyes and Christian Louboutin ‘Pigalle’ stilettos.

It’s not summery, but chic enough for a New York screening.

Gemma Arterton was also one of the guests at the NET-A-PORTER 10th Anniversary House-Warming Party held in London last night.

Like VB she also opted for a look designed by Miuccia Prada.

Her Prada Fall 2010 dress has a flirty yet cute appeal to it, but I preferred it on the runway.

The most interesting part of this dress is the balconette of lace ruffles which had been watered down on Gemma’s dress.

Her styling was interesting due to the fact that she made an effort to try something new, but I’m not a fan of shoulder bags on the runway despite it complementing her Prada heels.

Had her dress been a inch longer, I would’ve assumed her socks were thick wool tights so good on her for wearing them below the knee.
