Red Carpet Fashion Awards

All the girls from Girls Aloud are currently working on individual projects.

Cheryl Cole has the X Factor, Nadine Coyle owns a string of Irish pubs in LA, Nicola Roberts has her own make-up line, Kimberley Walsh has modeled for New Look, and Sarah Harding is trying to forge herself as an actress.

At the St. Trinian’s premiere in which Sarah stars, the singer/actress dazzled wearing a stunning black sequin Georges Chakra fall 2009 gown.

The gown is stunning from the front, and so very dramatic from the back with revealing panels, cut-out details and a flowing train.

Despite her being my least favourite of the group, I have to give credit were credit is due. She looks amazing.

A glam updo and bold red lips complete the look.

Sarah later changed into a pink strapless Atelier Versace Spring 2009 mini dress when she arrived back at her hotel.

She paired this stunning pink creation with Charlotte Olympia magenta laced slingbacks.

Gemma Arterton wore a black Alexander Wang slinky long goddess dress with Christian Louboutin Coussin caged ankle boots.

This is a great dress, but her messy hair puts me off.

A sleek updo like Sarah would’ve been much preferred.

Shingia Shoniwa continues to wow on the red carpet.

On this occasion she wore a hot pink Jean Pierre Braganza Spring 2010 backless cold-shoulder dress which has been worn by Cheryl Cole on  week 7 of the X Factor.

The Noisettes singer wears her dress with gold peep-toes and matching pink nails.

I feel a girl crush coming.

Nicola Roberts was one of my favourites on this red carpet.

The Girls Aloud singer supported her band mate at the premiere by arriving wearing a stunning cream dress with large appliqué flower detail which wrapped around her dress.

I just love those beaded embellishments adorning this amazing dress.

BDOTW contender.

Carey Mulligan has yet to put a foot wrong on the red carpet.

This red Bottega Veneta Spring 2010 looks simple yet still chic on the young actress, who won Actress of the Year at this event.

Her look is paired with Sergio Rossi black stamped suede gladiators heels, and black Bottega Veneta origami patent clutch.

I’ve been missing a lot of drama from Eva Green recently.

She doesn’t disappoint on this occasion, as she wore this ultra dramatic red and black feather print Alexander McQueen cowl neck gown.

This is a head turning look, which the actress amps up with smokey eyes, tousled bed hair and a bold lip colour.

Definitely a contender for BDOTW.

Gemma Arterton didn’t get the “red” memo, as she opted for a classic LBD with a twist.

The twist was the poufy shoulders.

The dress fails to excite, but I love the hair and make-up.

Gemma Arterton has been quite frustrating on the red carpet since the end of her “Quantum Of Solace” promotional tour, but she was back to her best this weekend.

The former Bond Girl showed off her stunning curvy figure as she walked the red carpet at the “Disappearance Of Alice Creed” during London Film Festival.

She looked elegant wearing a L’Wren Scott Fall 2008 fitted black dress which unites glamour and sex appeal in one perfectly cut silhouette.

I love the bejeweled bodice, and her glossy hair.

She accessorized with sky high peep toes and a black clutch covered in black crystals.

Sporting longer locks which were swept to the side, Lily Allen was named “Woman of the Year” and the “2009 GQ Men Of The Year Awards” in London last night.

The face of Chanel “Coco Cocoon” bag collection walked the red carpet wearing a black sheer double strapped Chanel Resort 2010 gown.

Had Lily wondered what that extra piece of material was for on the front of her gown, she’ll wonder no more when she sees her picture in the papers this morning.

Many of you are horrified that Lily is the face of Chanel, and when she ruins a perfectly wonderful gown like this I have to agree.

Freida Pinto makes a vast improvement from her last outing, which lets face it wouldn’t have been too difficult.

I love that she took a risk with this Christopher Kane black layered dress, but the hair is a bit too prim and proper for such an edgy look.

The actress pairs her dress with Rupert Sanderson Khyber cutout sandals.

I would’ve much rather seen Freida wear something more colourful, but I think she just pulls this off.

Louise Redknapp also opted for a shortened Christopher Kane Fall 2009 asymmetrical dress.

Her mesh dress with black velvet trims was paired with YSL Trib Two heels and Bottega Veneta clutch.

Katherine Jenkins appears to love the Victoria Beckham dress collection as much as the designer herself, as this is the 2nd VB dress we’ve seen her wear.

This time she opted for violet Giral strapless shot silk dress.

I’m guessing Katherine likes this collection so much because the dresses caters for those with a larger bust.

When I tried on a strapless dress from Victoria’s Spring 2009 collection I could barely fill the bodice.

The only way I recognised that Gemma Arterton was wearing Louis Vuitton was by her clutch and heels.

For some reason the LV pizazz is lost on Gemma, and this ruffle collared jacket suddenly becomes quite ordinary.

I just feel like raising the collar, its not meant to be so flat.

Victoria Hesketh aka Little Boots was one of my favourites at this event wearing a Josh Goot multi coloured printed ruched mini dress.

The surprising feature is that the back of the dress and sleeves are plain black.

The singer completes her look with an Alexander McQueen knuckle duster clutch.

Pixie Lott opted for a bedazzling Collette Dinnigan Spring 2009 mini dress coved in diamanté embellishments.

Ankle boots and studded cuffs complete the look.

We first saw this dress worn by Taylor Swift.

Much like Leighton Meester’s MTV Movie Awards Emilio De La Morena dress, Alexandra Burke’s black and white mesh Emilio Pucci dress is quite cheeky.

I’m really scared to see what this dress looked like from the back.

A turtleneck? In yesterday’s soaring heat?

I feel hot just looking at Kelly Osbourne wearing this Jasmine di Milo’s Fall 2009 dress.

Dita von Teese will be full of admiration for Kelly Brook’s waist reducing dress.

The pink rubber printed Atsuko Kudo Couture dress appears to have a built in corset to give Kelly an hour glass shape.

I bet she gave off a sexy wiggle when she walked in this dress.

Even though Eva Mendes was the “big star” at this event I was more impressed by people like Little Boots and Kelly Brook for giving us something new.

Eva wore a stunning maroon shimmering gown.

The colour was sublime on her, but the wow factor was missing. Eva can do this kind of look in her sleep.

Daisy Lowe opted for a space-aged look, which she paired down with black pumps.

Rachel Stevens hair and make-up is quite outstanding. I love the transformation maybe the newlywed decided to spice up her image.

Her LND with a voluminous skirt is oh so cute.

Tamara Ecclestone wore a striking Preen black and white lightening-print bandage-style dress paired with black ankle boots and a matching clutch.

Elizabeth Hurley’s strapless but dress is cute enough, but why I’m I so bored?

This is what happens when good clothes happen to people without stylist.

Former Bond girl Gemma Arterton held her engagement party with her Italian fiancée only known as Stefano, at “Sun & 13 Gantons” Brasserie in London this weekend.

She wore a red – or is it orange – Preen Spring 2009 dress which would be hard for many to pull off, and Gemma does herself no favours with those Britney-like ratty extensions and the dirty red pumps.

I love this dress. It has the tough girl elements on the bodice with the cut-out mesh panels, then it blends perfectly with the textured silk asymmetrical multi-tiered miniskirt.

The result is a dress with loads of fashion savvy and urban attitude.

In the right hands it would’ve been a sexy yet glamorous and sophisticated look.

On Gemma it’s a hot mess.

20th Annual GLAAD Media Awards, New York

Vanessa Williams continues to astound me on the red carpet.

Some would say a woman of her age shouldn’t wear this Matthew Williamson silk asymmetric drape dress, but I say boo to that, because she is wearing it a lot better than girls half her age could.

Fierce, and she knows it. Love it, love her.

OMG, I didn’t know Ana Ortiz was expecting.

My isn’t she glowing in this white off-the-shoulder dress?

Tyra Banks’ Georges Chakra couture tuxedo shows off a much slender frame.

Portia de Rossi and Ellen Degeneres pose with their awards in the press room.

Ellen in a navy blue chic suit with comfortable sneakers, and Portia wore a strapless black Bottega Veneta Pre-Fall 2009 dress with Stella McCartney mesh basket sandals.

23rd Genesis Awards, LA

Ginnifer Goodwin looks so dreamy in her nude sequined April, May dress with a pretty, ruched organza detail cascading down the front.

Accessories were kept to a minimum, with a stunning pair of Daniel Swarovski statement earrings, a gold shimmering clutch and pointy heels.

She looks so elegant, and so feminine, but like you, I wish she crack a smile once in a while.

Best look of this event.

Emily Deschanel sprung into spring wearing a fresh, citrus orange satin shift dress.

Stunning gold accessories, and black pumps complete her look.

Tiffany Fallon wore a black top under her plunging Alexander McQueen cap sleeve jumpsuit.

Maggie Q red carpet appearance are now few and far between, but she still knows how to make an impact. The actress wore a dangerously deep plunging orange jersey BCBG dress, which nears her belly button.

2009 Empire Awards, London

Gemma Arterton had one good week, then reverted back to what we have come to expect from her – a complete and utter mess.

I will only assume she didn’t look in the mirror once she put on this off-the-shoulder Halston Spring 2009 dress, because it’s unflattering, and totally washes her out.

OK, ankle boots are the new red carpet trend, but they’re so wrong with this dress.

Olga Kurylenko who won Best Newcomer at this awards do, wore a very uninspiring all black ensemble.

“Monsters vs. Aliens” South Korea Premiere

Han Ye-Seul stepped in for Reese Witherspoon, wearing a nude Fendi Spring 2009 dress. It’s so pretty, and looks so delicate against her pale skin.

The floral appliqué’s add some texture to the dress, which she wears with nude strappy sandals.

L’Etoile nightclub, Paris

Dita von Teese enjoys a night out wearing a emerald green satin Malandrino Fall 2008 dress, with matching heels.

The plunge-neck dress has a tulip skirt, and a black belt with a green marble buckle. Her look is complete with trademark red lips and nails, plus a Christian Louboutin shoe clash clutch.
