Gemma Arterton In Stella McCartney – British Independent Film Awards 2011

Gemma Arterton also stepped out for the 2011 British Independent Film Awards in London last night.

The British actress opted to wear a simple Stella McCartney Resort 2012 peplum dress.

Her black strapless dress might be a tad boring to some of you, but I love how she styled this basic dress to give her look plenty of sex appeal.

Sexy black and nude strappy sandals, a Stella McCartney dotted clutch and bold red lips heat up her red carpet look.

Gemma Arterton In Viktor & Rolf and Balmain – 57th Evening Standard Theatre Awards

Gemma Arterton attended the 57th Evening Standard Awards at the Savoy Hotel in London last night.

She donned a chic all black ensemble with a touch of bedazzlement.

The former Bond girl wore a black Viktor & Rolf Fall 2011 tuxedo jacket with satin lapels which she paired with a Balmain Spring 2012 embellished top.

At a press day in London last week I was fortunate enough to see the Balmain Spring 2012 collection up close. The embellishments actually look like an upside down Christmas trees.

A matching Balmain clutch, skin-tight leather pants and Christian Louboutin ‘Pigalle’ pumps completed her look.

I love the wild tresses and smoky eyes as it works very well with her rock chick look.

Kate Moss would be proud.

Gemma Arterton In YSL – Amazon: An Exhibition In Aid Of Sky Rainforest Rescue

Gemma Arterton was present at the private viewing of ‘Amazon: An Exhibition In Aid Of Sky Rainforest Rescue’ which took place this evening in London.

The actress wore a YSL chain-embellished crepe jumpsuit from the Fall 2011 collection.

This chic number had a Grecian feel to it because of the decadent gold chain which cascades down her back before wrapping around her waist.

The top-half of this jumpsuit looks exquisite on Gemma, but I’m not sure about the pants.

They aren’t particularly flattering as they make her appear wider than she actually is, plus they are heavily creased.

Gemma decided to go with a sleek updo, which was a great call. Had her hair been down it would have taken away from the sexiness of the back.

She finished her look with a nude pout and subtle shimmery eye shadow. The only jewelry she needed were two gold rings.

Rachel Zoe would pull off this ensemble without a glitch. This outfit totally screams out her name.

Who Wore Lanvin Better? Gemma Arterton or Sandra Bullock

Gemma Arterton chose this strapless black Lanvin jumpsuit to wear to the “Tamara Drewe” 2010 Toronto Film Festival Premiere back in September 2010.

The British actress went for a minimalist look, wearing barely any makeup and accessorizing with simple black pumps and a feathered clutch.

A simple ponytail completed her look.

Sandra Bullock wore the same jumpsuit to attend the premiere of “The Change-Up” last month.

The actress looked incredibly chic, pairing the jumpsuit with black strappy heels, intricate gold bracelets and hooped earrings.

She wore her hair down in sleek, loose waves and finished her look with soft pink lipstick.

The fit of the jumpsuit is off on Gemma, especially around the legs and she definitely needs more exciting accessories to brighten up her look, so my vote is going to Sandra.

Gemma Arterton In Gucci – Gucci Rue Royale Reopening Party

Of all the celebrities who attended the Gucci Rue Royale Reopening Party in Paris this week, I was the least inspired by Gemma Arterton.

The British actress has wowed in Gucci before, but I’m not sure this look is on par with Jessica Alba, Diane Kruger and Olivia Wilde when it comes to giving us the wow factor.

Gemma wore a Gucci Spring 2011 sable cape linen dress with a woven belt.

Her look was paired with matching open-toe ankle boots.

I love the look for a daytime event or for a photocall, but I can’t help wishing she’d opted for a bolder look for this occasion.

Who Wore Valentino Better? Gemma Arterton or Son Ye Jin

Another day, another WWIB? poll featuring Gemma Arterton.

The British actress wore this breath-taking Valentino Pre-Fall 2010 strapless ballgown when she arrived on the red carpet for the “Prince Of Persia: The Sands Of Time” World Premiere in London back in May.

She let her embellished gown do the talking as she didn’t add many other jewels, just simple studded diamond earrings and a silver ring.

Son Ye Jin – who was your Best Dressed last week – wore the same gown to the opening ceremony of the 15th Pusan Film Festival in South Korea last week.

The Asian star also kept her look simple, but her rings were more dramatic.

It was a very hard choice, but in the end I picked Gemma mostly because she’s taller, therefore her skirt doesn’t look as crushed as Son Ye Jin’s. Also I love her red lippie.

Who Wore Isabel Marant Better? Gemma Arterton or Victoria Beckham

Here we have two British stars wearing a very popular French designer.

At the Selfridges Shoe Galleries launch last month, Gemma Arterton wore a navy Balmain tweed military jacket with Isabel Marant cropped leather pants from the Fall 2010 collection.

She completed her look with Christian Louboutin pigalle heels.

Victoria Beckham wore the same zipper detailed leather pants whilst out in London recently.

She added a simple Isabel Marant sweater and spiked Louboutin’s to her look.

Gemma looks ridiculous whereas Victoria looks super chilled in her effortless wannabee rock chick look which we would expect to see on someone like Kate Moss.

Also Victoria wore the right sized pants so she wins for me.
