Red Carpet Fashion Awards

This afternoon in LA, Freida Pinto was at The Grove filming a segment with Mario Lopez for ‘Extra’ to promote her new movie, ‘Immortals’.

The last time I featured Michael Angel I wished more celebrities would wear his designs.

Freida was listening.

The Indian beauty wore a colourful Michael Angel slip dress from the designer’s Resort 2012 collection.

Her eggplant, blue, yellow, purple and orange spaghetti-strapped dress was cinched at the waist with a burgundy belt.

It looks like someone’s been listening to my prayers for exciting footwear too, because Freida donned a gorgeous pair of summery Roger Vivier 1000 Brides satin sandals which were perfectly complementary to her dress.

Usually if a star opts for a dress with this much colour, they tone things down with plain pumps, so it’s so very refreshing to see Freida step out of that box.

Super-straight brunette locks and neutral makeup completed her look.

At the after party for the LA premiere for ‘Immortals’, Freida Pinto did a quick change into something more comfortable and colourful.

The Indian beauty wore a Nina Ricci Resort 2012 dress.

Her flirty orange dress had a beautiful embroidered detail on the bodice and a chiffon ruffle cascading from the hip down to the hem of her skirt.

She kept the same braided hairstyle and Chopard bracelet from the red carpet event, but donned a gorgeous pair of blush-coloured embellished strappy sandals.

Isabel Lucas didn’t change out of her Roksanda Ilincic gown.

The tragic thing is that the gown became even less presentable as the night wore on.

Freida Pinto looked beautiful as she arrived on the red carpet for the ‘Immortals’ LA premiere which was held at the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live last night.

The Indian beauty looked about 6ft tall in her Antonio Berardi Spring 2012 gown.

Her blush gown has a lot going on, but it works.

Cut-out details accentuate the padded shoulders while the embroidered details on the bodice give the gown a beautiful armour-like feel, as does the satin panel on the skirt.

The gown couldn’t be more perfectly themed.

Her braided hair was twisted to a purposely messy bun to allow us full view of her breathtaking gown.

A Chopard bracelet, kohl-rimmed eyes, rosy cheeks and dark pink lips completed her look.

Yet another worthy BDOTW contender.

Freida Pinto stepped out onto the red carpet tonight for the world premiere of her latest movie, ‘Black Gold’ during the 2011 Doha Tribeca Film Festival in Qatar this evening.

The Indian beauty wore a custom Salvatore Ferragamo Resort 2012 gown.

Her striking magenta silk halter gown with a gold rope neckline and tie to the waist was teamed with gold Amrapali accessories and a gold clutch.

A silver hairband accented her shaggy updo and smoky eyes completed her look.

I’m glad she’s wearing something this colourful again.

During her Calvin Klein phase she was incredibly beige and lacklustre.

This weekend Freida Pinto was promoting  ‘Trishna’ during the London Film Festival.

Today she is in Qatar to promote ‘Black Gold’ during the 2011 Doha Tribeca Film Festival.

At the photocall the Indian actress looked gorgeous wearing a Salvatore Ferragamo Resort 2012 dress.

Her black and white striped top and skirt has a fresh nautical feel too it, which I will guess is why she kept her makeup to a minimum.

A simple bun, studded earrings and a black strappy sandals completed her look.

This Ferragamo dress is far superior to her previous photocall dress.

After a few so-so appearances on the red carpet, Freida Pinto finally opted for a super glamorous look on the red carpet for the ‘Trishna’ London Film Festival premiere yesterday evening.

The Indian actress was radiant wearing a Ralph Lauren Fall 2011 jumpsuit.

I love the red Ralph Lauren bag which adds a divine pop of colour to her beaded jumpsuit, plus it complements the red accent on her heels.

Chopard jewels and gorgeous retro marcel waves completed her look.

I was less impressed with her photocall Louis Vuitton look.

Her drop-waist dress looks good in the close up, but the long-shot tells a very different story.

The blush colour is gorgeous against her skin-tone, but I hate those velvet panels.

Manolo Blahnik ‘Lasti’ sandals completed her look.
