Florence Welch In YSL – 2010 Q Awards

Florence and the Machine took home two prizes at this year’s Q Awards in London yesterday.

Florence Welch was named ‘Best Female’ and she also picked up the award for ‘Best Track’ for her hit single ‘You’ve Got The Love’.

The stylish singer wore head-to-toe YSL Fall 2010.

Her sheer top with a tie detail around the neck was worn with a lace bustier to prevent this look from being a total rip from the runway.

What I love most about this look is her grey and black textured mini skirt. She manages to wear it well without it making her appear wider than she is.

Mulberry Spring 2011 After-Party

Despite a very long day of back to back shows, I dragged my tired yet fabulous self back downtown to the Soho House for the Mulberry Spring 2011 after-party.

We danced around to music from DJ Dan Williams, before a live acoustic set by Florence Welch of Florence and the Machine.

Her performance gave me goosebumps. That girl can sure sing.

She was wearing an ensemble straight from the Mulberry Spring 2011 runway for her performance.

Her white jacquard blouse and gathered skirt was paired with black ankle boots and ankle whites.

Kelly Osborne wore the same dress, but of course the child of the Prince of Darkness wore a black version.

Black, white and grey brogues completed her look.

Other guests included Alexa Chung, Alexis Bledel, Dree Hemingway, Olivia Palermo in Tibi and Gemma Arteton.

Towards the end of the party, some party goers fell/jumped into the pool much our amusement.

2010 MTV VMAs – Florence Welch In Givenchy Couture

Best Dressed Award
Like Ciara, Florence Welch also wore a look from the Givenchy Fall 2010 Couture collection to the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards.

It like waiting for buses.  You wait ages for one and two come along at once.

The British singer wore her gold lace Couture dress without a belt and gold accessories.

I love the pose. It’s so danity and elegant.

She really knows how to work a dress.

This look could’ve easily washed her out, but the red lippie and hair prevent that.

She was easily one of my favourites on the night.

2010 V Festival – Florence Welch In Chanel

When we think of festivals, we think of wellies, denim shorts, floral dresses and of course mud.

What we don’t usually think of is Louis Vuitton, but that changed thanks to Emma Watson and Katy Perry.

Now we can maybe add Chanel to the list.

Florence Welch of ”Florence and the Machine” was one of the many musical acts to perform at V Festival this weekend.

The flame haired singer opted for a chiffon embellished Chanel Pre-Fall 2010 floor-length dress which we’ve seen on Karolina Kurkova.

This is a very typical look for Florence who often wears fringed or flowy looks like this to add more movement and drama to her performances.

Her Chanel look is modified.

Like Karolina she opted out of the turquoise beaded details, but she also had the middle belly-button exposing sheer panel covered too.

It wouldn’t surprise me if most of the people who purchased this look opted for Florence’s version.

Not everyone get away with exposing their midriffs like supermodels Karolina Kurkova and Abbey Lee Kershaw.

2010 Glamour Women Of The Year Awards – Florence Welch In Jasmine Di Milo

Best Mini Award
Florence Welch was a winner at the 2010 Glamour Women Of The Year Awards, taking home “Band of the Year” for Florence and The Machine.

The flame haired singer opted for a Jasmine Di Milo Fall 2010 mini dress.

I much prefer her sleeved version.

On the models dress is making her look like she has droopy boobs as the fish scale like embellished on the skirt weigh the dress down.

This will be the last ever Jasmine di Milo collection as the designer Jasmine Al Fayed, the daughter of former Harrods owner Mohamed Al Fayed, had decided to close her label so that she can concentrate on other interests away from the fashion industry.
