Red Carpet Fashion Awards

Vanity Fair’s March 2012 issue, which is the annual Hollywood Issue, features eleven of the most up-and-coming actresses who were shot by Mario Testino.

The main cover features Rooney Mara, Jennifer Lawrence, Mia Wasikowska and Jessica Chastain.

After the fold we have Elizabeth Olsen, Adepero Oduye, Shailene Woodley, Paula Patton, Felicity Jones, Lily Collins and Brit Marling.

There are always great debates that go on with regards to this cover every year.

I would’ve swapped Mia with Elizabeth and had her on the main cover, and I’m not sure Paula should be considered up-and-coming as she’s been around for a while. Also Shailene is totally unrecognisable.

Each actress wore a pastel-coloured satin dress for the 20s boudoir-themed shoot with screen-siren hairstyles and bold lip colours.

They all look great, but Jennifer steals the cover for me as she’s in full-on bombshell mode. Very Jessica Rabbit.

Here are some extracts from their interviews:

Jessica on her superstar crush:The English Patient. Of course. Those love scenes!”

Jennifer on who else she’s like to work with: “I’d love to work with the Cohen brothers. Tommy Lee Jones. Jack Nicholson. And I’d love to work with Renee Zellweger. I’m a huge Renee Zellweger fan.”

Rooney on her crush growing up: “Thom Yorke.”

Jennifer on her childhood crush: “When I was little, like 90s, era, I had such a big crush on Justin Timberlake from *NSYNC that I almost thew up.”

Felicity Jones may not have made it to the main event, but she was still able to showcase her style prowess at the Warner Bros. & InStyle Golden Globe Awards party at The Beverly Hilton Hotel on Sunday evening.

The British actress wore a Valentino Pre-Fall 2012 gown.

Her white gown with embellished lattice details on the bodice is the perfect mixture of sexy and ladylike.

Of all the newbies, she hasn’t put a foot wrong on the red carpet.

Felicity Jones opted for a simple look at the BAFTA Awards Season Tea Party on Saturday afternoon.

The new face of Dolce & Gabbana beauty wore a simple nude A-line dress from the designers’ Spring 2012 collection.

Her look was minimally accessorized with a matching nude clutch.

While Felicity looks gorgeous in this neutral dress, I’m killed by her shoe choice.

With a dress this simple, she could have chosen any shoe in the world, and for some reason she settled on chunky tan sandals.

Kohl rimmed eyes and nude lips provided the finishing touches.

The Hollywood Reporter’s Annual ‘Power 100: Women In Entertainment Breakfast took place at the Beverly Hills Hotel in LA this morning.

British actress Felicity Jones continues to make waves on the red carpet wearing a Calvin Klein Resort 2012 dress.

Her light blue silk crepe de chine mirco pleat short sleeve dress with a collar was paired with slate grey Miu Miu bow front sandal.s

I’m usually a big fan of Felicity’s head-to-toe style, but I’m not loving the colour of her shoes on this occasion.

Felicity Jones has become the darling of the fashion world in such a short space in time.

She looked stunning once again on the red carpet for the BAFTA Los Angeles 2011 Britannia Awards at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in California last night.

The British actress wore a Moschino Resort 2012 gown.

Her black strapless tulle gown has a lightly embellished bodice and a full skirt.

I love everything about this look; it’s classic and feminine, and I love that she kept the look so simple with minimal jewelry and a black clutch.

Hailee Steinfeld has a real contender to challenge her for Best Newcomer of the Year.
