Red Carpet Fashion Awards

I couldn’t let the year end without at least one more Fan Bingbing red carpet look.

For the ‘My Way’ Tokyo premiere she was radiant wearing a Valentino Resort 2012 gown.

Her off-the-shoulder print gown with delicate ruffled details is far more flattering than her previous press conference gown.

What’s most interesting about this look is that Fan is wearing the gown back to front.

On the model the ruffles are at the back, but on Fan they are at the front.

Some of you dare to say that this woman is boring. She’s far from it.

A half-up, half-down hairstyle, Cartier jewels, including an emerald ring, and a beautiful coral lip colour completed her look.

She can do quirky, she can do princessy and she can do effortlessly pretty. I can’t wait to see more from her in 2012.

Fan Bingbing attended the Tokyo press conference for ‘My Way’ on Monday at The Peninsula in Japan.

As much as I love Fan, the ‘Here comes the bride’ chorus started playing in my head the second I saw her in this Tadashi Shoji Spring 2012 gown.

I love her when she does the princess thing, but it doesn’t work for me on this occasion, sadly.

The v-neck floral dress itself is beautiful, it has to be said, but the fit is better on the model.

Back in June, Elle Fanning wore this Marc Jacobs Spring 2012 dress to the 2011 Women in Film Crystal + Lucy Awards.

Her beautiful aqua-blue floral embroidered dress was teamed with coral Chanel peep-toes.

The makeup-free teen opted to wear her hair back in a simple low bun.

Fan Bingbing wore the same dress in pink last week to the press conference of her new movie, ‘My Way’.

The Asian beauty matched her lip colour to her dress and added a red waistband.

Had she opted to wear the dress with better shoes, she would’ve been my winner, but, as Elle was head-to-toe perfect, she wins for me.

If you were surprised that Fan Bingbing didn’t wear Elie Saab to the ‘My Way’ press conference, that’s because she was saving it for the premiere.

The actress donned a fiery, volcanic print Elie Saab Fall 2010 Couture one-shoulder gown.

I’m ecstatic to see that this gown has finally taken to the red carpet, as I look at it every day on my screensaver, plus it’s refreshing to see something on the red carpet which is season appropriate.

Fan Bingbing allowed the gown to do all the talking as she swept her hair back into a neat bun, and added Cartier jewels.

The watch should’ve been left at home, but its a minor when a look from your wish list finally comes to life.

Fan Bingbing attended a press conference to promote her latest movie ‘My Way’ in Seoul, South Korea earlier today.

She looked divine, as always, wearing a Marc Jacobs Resort 2012 dress.

Her pretty pink tulle dress with floral embroidered was accented with a red leather waistband.

I love the dress, but I wish she’d get over those nude Lady Daff pumps.

They are so unattractive and look so heavy against her delicate dress.

Why Mr Louboutin? Why?

Fan Bing Bing styled her hair into a low loose ponytail and completed her look with Cartier jewels and pink lips to match her dress.

You may remember young Elle Fanning wore the baby blue look book version which has more of an asymmetrical hemline.

Jessica Alba was the first to wear this Versace for H&M studded top and skirt when she attended the fashion show to celebrate the collaboration two weeks ago in New York City.

The actress sported a high ponytail, red lips which matched her nail polish, black tights and black pumps.

Fan Bingbing wore the same look this week at the Chen Man Photography Exhibition in Shanghai, China.

Like Jessica, she also added tights and black pumps, but Fan had more fun with her look, sporting fun frames, a Louis Vuitton hat and a Jeremy Scott for Adidas leather jacket.

Fan wins easily for me, as Jess looked a tad frumpy in comparison.
