Red Carpet Fashion Awards

Kate Beckinsale was the first to wear this flirty Tadashi Shoji Spring 2012 dress whilst attending a press conference to announce the nominations for the 2012 Film Independent Spirit Awards back in November last year.

She made the nude tulle, lace cocktail dress that much sexier by hitching it up to show off her long, toned legs.

Wavy locks and her favourite Brian Atwood pumps completed her look.

Fan Bingbing wore the same dress last month to the Mmax Future Pictures Festival in Beijing, China.

She also adjusted the dress to make it appear shorter plus she also wore nude pumps, but the looks couldn’t be more different.

Kate wins for me.

Fan looks incredibly washed out and I don’t like the hat on this occasion.

Fan Bingbing was also one of the attendees at the Mmax Future Pictures Festival at Guoan Theater in Beijing, China, yesterday evening.

The Asian actress wore a Tadashi Shoji Spring 2012 dress.

Some of you will be shocked to learn that I really dislike this look.

Firstly because this white-and-nude tulle cocktail dress washes her out, but most importantly because I’m so over those nude Christian Louboutin ‘Lady Daf’ pumps; she’s been wearing them since Fall 2011 Fashion Week. I’m praying she doesn’t pack them for Cannes.

The hat was aimed to add some fun to her look, but I don’t like the hat or the nude fishnet tights.

For me this is a rare misstep for the usually flawless Fan Bingbing.

Fan Bingbing also attended ‘Louis Vuitton – Marc Jacobs: The Exhibition’ in Paris yesterday evening.

The Asian beauty opted for a totally different look on this occasion, going from sweet to temptress, wearing a zebra-print Louis Vuitton Spring 2011 look.

She wore the look as it was presented on the runway with the semi-sheer strapless jumpsuit and matching cape.

A beige LV clutch, kohl-rimmed eyes and 40s-style victory rolls completed her look.

This was my favourite look from her yesterday.

Our favourite Asian actress, Fan Bingbing, has been M.I.A for a while.

I was delighted to see her in Paris for Louis Vuitton’s Fall 2012 presentation this morning.

Oh how I have missed her. I mean who else is going to show up at a fashion show channelling Hilda Ogden.

Whilst paying homage to the British TV legend wearing a white lace head wrap over her red curls, she wore a white Louis Vuitton Spring 2012 laser cut dress with a voluminous skirt.

I love the chic white wool coat worn over her shoulders. It gives her look cosy winter feel.

A white clutch and red platform pumps to match her red lips completed her look.

Fan Bingbing attended the sixth star ceremony in China this week.

The actress wore a D&G Fall 2011 dress.

We’re so used to seeing Fan wearing couture gowns that it’s a bit of a shock to the system to see her wearing something so relaxed and loose-fitting.

Her other extreme is quirky, so it’s refreshing that she’s found this middle ground.

I couldn’t let the year end without at least one more Fan Bingbing red carpet look.

For the ‘My Way’ Tokyo premiere she was radiant wearing a Valentino Resort 2012 gown.

Her off-the-shoulder print gown with delicate ruffled details is far more flattering than her previous press conference gown.

What’s most interesting about this look is that Fan is wearing the gown back to front.

On the model the ruffles are at the back, but on Fan they are at the front.

Some of you dare to say that this woman is boring. She’s far from it.

A half-up, half-down hairstyle, Cartier jewels, including an emerald ring, and a beautiful coral lip colour completed her look.

She can do quirky, she can do princessy and she can do effortlessly pretty. I can’t wait to see more from her in 2012.
