Fan Bingbing In Georges Chakra Couture - ‘X-Men Days Of Future Past’ World Premiere

Fan Bingbing attended the ‘X-Men: Days Of Future Past’ world premiere held at Jacob Javits Center on Saturday (May 10) in New York City.

I was starting to tune the Asian actress out as her style had become too predictable and beyond boring, but thankfully she made a change last night.

Working a unique and highly dramatic look from Georges Chakra’s Fall 2012 Couture collection, this white crepe gown with cape-like sleeves accented with sapphire-blue feathers sees her back to her very best.

Styled with a midnight-blue Louis Vuitton clutch and Chopard jewels, this is the Bingbing I know and love.

I’m pretty certain she will return to her predictable ways during Cannes Film Festival which kicks off on Wednesday, so I will soak up this piece of brilliance for all its worth.

Update: I have been informed that Fan Bingbing won’t be a Cannes this year, however, Blake Lively and Zoe Saldana are confirmed.

Fan Bingbing In Zhang Shuai - 4th Beijing Film Festival

Fan Bingbing wore a second look during the 4th Beijing International Film Festival held at China’s National Grand Theatre on Wednesday (April 16) in Beijing, China.

Perhaps one was for the opening ceremony and one for a premiere (no confirmation on Getty); however, this Zhang Shuai (blatant Lanvin copied) aqua-blue one-shoulder gown with a ruffled trim is much more like it.

It’s unpredictable, it’s not a princess gown, it’s not embellished and I love this colour against her pale skin.

Another Louis Vuitton clutch completed her look.

Was two looks for this event excessive or do you perceive this to be typical Bingbing behaviour; overdoing it? This is the same lady who wore three gown on Oscar night back in 2013.

You may remember that Rooney Mara wore a white Lanvin gown that this look has been copied from.

Fan Bingbing In Elie Saab Couture - 4th Beijing Film Festival

Fan Bingbing and actor Huang Xiaoming took to the red carpet this evening for the 4th Beijing International Film Festival at China’s National Grand Theatre on Wednesday (April 16) in Beijing, China.

No prizes for guessing that the actress wore an Elie Saab Couture gown.

Frankly, as beautiful as it is, it’s tired. Played out beyond belief.

I almost feel like she’s worn this gown before. It’s like there is no thought process or effort. Just picking the most sparkling piece off the rack.

Thankfully, Xiaoming and his floral-print blazer are in this shot to keep me interested.

A Louis Vuitton clutch and tousled waves completed her look.

Fan Bingbing In Dolce & Gabbana - 'White Haired Witch' Press Conference

Fan Bingbing attended the press conference for her new movie ‘White Haired Witch’ on Thursday (March 27) in Beijing, China.

The Chinese actress wore a pretty Dolce & Gabbana Spring 2014 frock with oversized sleeves which featured 3D blossom appliqués and a contrast blue-embroidered hem and sleeves.

This sees her once again step away from the princessy looks she’s known for… possibly saving them all for Cannes.

As much as I love Bingbing’s style, I can never get on board with her shoe choices. They do complement the look, but does every shoe have to have that heavy platform?

Fan Bingbing In Louis Vuitton - 'Power Of Film' Charity Event

Fan Bingbing was back in the spotlight attending the ‘Power Of Film’ charity event on Saturday (March 22) in Hong Kong, China.

The actress wore a Louis Vuitton Spring 2014 black sheer gown enriched with feathered shoulders, crystallized embroidery and a tiered skirt.

Those of you tired of seeing her don Elie Saab Couture princess gowns must be pleased with this change of pace.

Opting to wear a loose-fit cami under her dress, she styled her look with an LV black leather clutch with gold hardware, Chopard jewels and black platform peep-toes.

You may remember that Adele Exarchopoulos wore this same dress to the 2014 Critics’ Choice Awards earlier this year.

Louis Vuitton Fall 2014 Front RowDesigner Nicholas Ghesquière’s debut collection for Louis Vuitton Fall 2014 hit the Paris Fashion Week catwalk on Wednesday (March 5) at the Cour Carree in France. The Vuitton-dressed front row sat with bated breath to glimpse the new LV under Ghesquière, where skins, suede and leather rendered in retro-mod shapes took to the runway.

Fan Bingbing: A sophisticated, dark leather trench with brass buttons, mixed with an LV logo handbag and a pair of oversized shades, were the makings of a stylishly cinematic entrance by the Asian star—if only she could locate another pair of heels, other than her go-to super-platforms. Long, straight locks and a matte red lip completed her dramatic ensemble.

Chloe Sevigny: The actress tied on a navy-blue, windowpane sweater coat, worn with black tights, booties and a tassel-adorned purse. Barely-there makeup only brought home her effortless-cool vibe.
