Fan Bingbing In Ralph & Russo Couture – ‘La Tete Haute’ Cannes Film Festival Premiere & Opening Ceremony

Opening Ceremony & "La Tete Haute" Premiere - The 68th Annual Cannes Film Festival

Fan Bingbing returned to Cannes Film Festival as expected, with a bang.

The Asian beauty glided down the red carpet for the opening ceremony and premiere of ‘La Tete Haute’ (‘Standing Tall’) this evening (May 13) in Cannes, France, wearing Ralph & Russo Couture.

Looking ever so regal, the cape design, which will be on my BDOTY list, took my breath away for being so elegance, and complementary to her skin-tone.

If you are looking for the Chinese influence, look no further than the 18th-century Chinese motifs, depicting a blossoming scene and peacocks – a symbol of dignity and beauty.

The look was styled with emerald Chopard jewels and her favourite Louis Vuitton clutch.

I’m glad she saved this for Cannes, it may have gotten lost on the red carpet at the Met Gala.

Best Dressed Of The Week – Fan Bingbing In Christopher Bu & Robert Pattinson in Dior Homme

BDOTW 11 may

Fan Bingbing was the clear favourite this week wearing a breath-taking gown by Christopher Bu, who was inspired by the worldly known Chinese ancient imperial palace: the Forbidden City.

Proving that he can scrub up well when the occasion requires, Robert Pattinson looked both polished and handsome in his Dior Homme three-piece tuxedo to take the menswear prize.

Fan Bingbing In Christopher Bu – 2015 Met Gala

Fan Bingbing In Chris by Christopher Bu - 2015 Met Gala

Fan Bingbing took an impressive spin down the red carpet of the ‘China: Through the Looking Glass’ 2015 Met Gala, hosted at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City on Monday (May 4)

Wearing a look from one of her favoured go-to designers, Christopher Bu, the Chinese actress was exquisite in a golden-bronze embellished column gown.

Despite the high-octane shine of the dress, the ornately embroidered, jewel-toned cape was the most riveting piece of the ensemble, which she styled perfectly with Chopard jewels and, of course, a Louis Vuitton clutch.

I was mesmerized by her entrance which was dazzlingly impressive enough for the Met while still walking on the right side of the theme and maintaining an aura of richly refined elegance, unlike some of the ensembles we saw last night.

Fan Bingbing In Emmanuel Ungaro & Antonio Berardi – ‘Ever Since We Love’ Press Conference

Fan Bingbing In Emmanuel Ungaro & Antonio Berardi - 'Ever Since We Love' Press Conferences

Fan Bingbing and Han Geng have been promoting their latest project, ‘Ever Since We Love’ this week.

Shanghai Press Conference: On Monday (April 13) they attended a press conference at Millennium Hotel, with me liking Bingbing’s latest look from the ankles up. You will remember that we first saw this flame red Emmanuel Ungaro Spring 2015 gown worn by Jena Malone. She had the good sense not to style the look with ridiculous footwear.

Chengdu Press Conference: The next day, the actress went for a more directional look, wearing an Antonio Berardi Spring 2015 metallic floral brocade outfit. The boxy top and tulip shaped skirt are considerably out of her comfort-zone, but I like how Bingbing is lately making an effort to switch things up. I wish there was a much clearer picture of her sans microphone, but setting aside those hideous shoes once again, I think she managed to pull off this look with effortless grace.

Fan Bingbing In Louis Vuitton – Louis Vuitton ‘Series 2′ Exhibition

Fan Bingbing In Louis Vuitton - Louis Vuitton 'Series 2' Exhibition

Fan Bingbing attended the Louis Vuitton ‘Series 2′ opening event at China World Shopping Mall on Thursday (March 26) in Beijing, China.

Sporting one of her many wigs, the actress worked a blunt cut bob, while she stepped out of her usual princess role to take on the persona of girl with a bit of an edge to her style.

So she channelled her inner vixen and donned this leather panelled fiery red mesh and perforated swing skirt dress from Louis Vuitton’s Spring 2015 collection.

The LV ambassador played with the black and red theme very well, but she missed a trick by adding the classic monogrammed Petite-Malle instead to the black and red version.

Having not worn her stripper heels for her last look, it was business as usual on this occasion. Surprisingly I don’t hate them with this look. Perhaps because they blend into the carpet, or perhaps because she’s taken on the role of someone who’s not so innocent.

Who Wore Valentino Better…Shailene Woodley or Fan Bingbing?

Who Wore Valentino Better Shailene Woodley or Fan Bingbing

Shailene Woodley attended the 18th Annual Hollywood Film Awards back in November wearing a gorgeous star embroidered Valentino Spring 2015 gown, styled with her favourite gold pendant necklace.

Fan Bingbing wore the same gown earlier this year to the Hong Kong opening of a Valentino store.

This may have been an easy win for Bingbing, as this style of gown is very much her red carpet M.O. Sadly, that modified neckline ruins this look for me, so this was an easy win for Shailene.
