Fan Bingbing In Elie Saab Couture - 'Jeune & Jolie' Cannes Film Festival Premiere

Many ladies swished their lovely gowns while taking to the red carpet this evening for the ‘Jeune & Jolie’ premiere during Cannes Film Festival, but Fan Bingbing was the first to catch my eye.
That’s because the Asian beauty was wearing Elie Saab Couture.

She may have left us a bit crestfallen that she broke with tradition last night, but she fulfilled her other Cannes duty which was to wear an Elie Saab Couture gown.

This summery yellow gown with an embellished bodice and textured skirt came from the Spring 2012 collection.

As beautfiul as her hair is, it often gets in the way, so I’m delighted she opted for a braided updo on this occasion.

A silver clutch, a divine orange lip colour and Chopard jewels completed her look.

Opening Ceremony And 'The Great Gatsby' Premiere - The 66th Annual Cannes Film Festival

Fan Bingbing joined in the celebration of ‘The Great Gatsby’ Cannes Film Festival premiere, which also served as the opening ceremony.

Sadly, she didn’t use the occasion to showcase one of her countrymen’s Asian-inspired creations like she has done for the past three years at the opening ceremony; instead she wore a custom Louis Vuitton gown.

This is the first time the French fashion house has created a gown especially for an Asian actress.

The duchess satin strapless gown with a grey and red sequined bodice was styled with a Louis Vuitton minaudière and Chopard jewels.

Do you wish Fan Bingbing had kept up her opening ceremony tradition or are you too swept away by the lusciousness of the gown to consider this an issue?

Fan Bingbing In Louis Vuitton - 2013 Huading Awards Ceremony

Fan Bingbing attended the 2013 Huading Awards Ceremony held at the Kowloonbay International Trade and Exhibition Centre in Hong Kong yesterday evening.

Wearing her third look from the Louis Vuitton Spring 2013 collection, the actress selected a bright-green below-the-knee long-sleeved frock with a white floral print and four patch pockets.

The second I saw this look I felt that something was off, excluding those Giuseppe Zanotti triple-stack peep-toes she can’t seem to live without.

I’m not sure if it’s the length of the dress or the fact that she should’ve worn her hair back, as it is overwhelming her look.

A black crystallized LV minaudière and silver jewels completed her look.

Does this look work for you?

Fan Bingbing In Etro - 'White Haired Witch' Press Conference

Huang Xiaoming and Fan Bingbing attended a press conference for their latest movie ‘White Haired Witch’ last Tuesday in Beijing, China.

Bingbing, who is known for her love of stunning Elie Saab gowns, opted for an Etro Spring 2013 look on this occasion.

As we know, the actress is not afraid to try something new, but you will be delighted that she kept her floral ensemble with a ruffled trim, both on the blouse and pants, quirk-free.

I can see why she was attracted to this vibrant floral piece, modelled after Japanese hand paintings, and I’m glad she kept the runway look intact and decided not to break up the look with a solid piece.

Raven wavy side-swept locks and Giuseppe Zanotti platform peep-toes completed her look.

Even though Xiaoming is wearing a bright red suit, my eyes go straight to Bingbing.

LV FROW

The Louis Vuitton Fall 2013 presentation took place in Paris, France this afternoon, with stars wearing pieces from Spring 2013 and Pre-Fall 2013 collections.

Fan Bingbing: The Asian beauty took her front row seat wearing the same black-and-white chequered-flag-print dress we saw on Jessica Alba. I love the retro ‘do and the edge she brings to the look via her leather half gloves. A cream LV bag and stacked peep-toes complete her look. This is the 19th chequered look to hit the red carpet.

Lea Seydoux: The French actress gave us a more interesting look, wearing a black-and-red floral-print look from the Pre-Fall 2013 collection. Her patent black pumps work well on this occasion, with a chic top-handle LV bag and a red-hot pout and plenty of attitude completing her FROW look. You may remember that Michelle Williams wore these same pants recently.

Lily Collins: Looking totally adorable in her gold-and-black Louis Vuitton Pre-Fall 2013 dress with a black pointy collar, the actress styled her look with a lusty worthy LV top-handle bag, a top-knot and black pumps.

Naomi Watts: After wearing a selection of high-glamour looks during awards season, Naomi scaled things back this morning by wearing a simple white shift dress from the Spring 2013 collection with a white coat. I love the mint-green tote, but I dislike the black pumps with a passion with this look.

Fan Bingbing In Elie Saab Couture - 2013 Elton John AIDS Foundation Oscars Party

Having taken to the red carpet at the Oscars wearing Marchesa, and the Vanity Fair party wearing Oscar de la Renta, Fan Bingbing scored a hat trick of looks by changing into her third gown for the Elton John AIDS Foundation Oscar party on Sunday evening.

For her third look, she wore an Elie Saab Spring 2012 Couture gown.

While I love the dramatics of the Marchesa gown, I also can’t help falling in love with this soft, pretty, peachy gown with an embellished cape detail.

I’m not a fan of the black Roger Vivier clutch with this heavenly look; it would’ve worked better with her second gown. I do, however, adore her ruby Chopard drop earrings.

Having to change three times in one night, you have to wonder how much fun Fan Bingbing was able to have at any of the events. I guess the fun was in the dressing up.
