Fan Bingbing In Ralph & Russo – 11.11 Global Shopping Festival

Fan Bingbing was on hand to celebrate the 2017 Tmall Collection Show for Alibaba Group’s 11.11 Global Shopping Festival on Friday (October 20) in Hangzhou, China.

Those of you who love the edgier side of Bingbing’s style will be excited to see her don this trench coat from Ralph & Russo’s Spring 2018 collection.

Just when you think there are no more ways to “reinvent the wheel”, Ralph & Russo use techno fabrics to revolutionize the classic trench coat.

Rendered in a rose-gold hue with a megawatt metallic finish, Bingbing matched her coat with pointy – single-sole – pumps.

I adore this for being both striking and unexpected. She sure does know how to making an enchanting statement.

Unfortunately, this isn’t a great picture, but it was the only full-length one I could find.

Fan Bingbing In La Perla – La Perla Spring 2018 Fashion Show

La Perla hosted its Spring/Summer 2018 ready-to-wear fashion show with the gorgeous Fan Bingbing and the rather dashing Hu Bing in attendance.

They were treated to a lavish gala dinner and runway presentation in Macao, China on Thursday (October 20), which saw top runway models including Natasha Poly and Liu Wen walk in the show along with local talent.

Fan Bingbing: I love how her La Perla’s look subtly mixes the elegance of lingerie with the sharpness of suiting. Methinks, (hopes, prays) this is the closet the actress ever gets to the sheer trend.

Hu Bing: God damn he is handsome. His dashing good looks are only intensified by his floral jacquard suit and Clark Kent geek-chic glasses.

Front Row @ Louis Vuitton Spring 2018

Many of the same stars who were at the opening of the Louis Vuitton boutique were seated front row at the Louis Vuitton Spring 2018 show the next day on Tuesday (October 3) during Paris Fashion Week. So, you will be excused if you’re already experiencing a certain kind of déjà vu.

Here, the lineup of the LV looks—take two—from the brand’s biggest fans.

Cate Blanchett: I had a slightly easier time embracing this directional look from Cate, as opposed to her more disjointed offering the day before. Perhaps some elements still seemed a bit forced, but no one can say this wasn’t a mullet-esque look—warrior-chic on the top, and business on the bottom.

Julianne Moore: Stepping away from the colour black, the actress was radiant in this rich, jade-green dress that had its own party happening at the back with the long fringe detail.

Alicia Vikander: Yet again, Alicia’s effortlessly chic look took top billing. In this case, it was her accessories—the handbag and booties, in particular—that really elevated this all-black ensemble.

Maison Louis Vuitton Vendôme Opening

Paris Fashion Week also ushered in the grand opening of the Maison Louis Vuitton at Place Vendôme in Paris, France on Monday (October 2), with a number of the brand’s biggest fans in attendance—and all donning signature LV looks.

Cate Blanchett: As hard as I tried, I just couldn’t get on board with what Cate was serving up here. Between the silken, emerald green jacket and leather belt, the pinstripe blouse and its exaggerated cuffs, and the racing stripe track pants, it looked like she had borrowed pieces from three different looks that should have never been in the same room together.

Julianne Moore: With a look that was as close as Julianne could get to her favoured LBDs, she brought an elegance to this distressed lace dress that was reinforced by her simple approach to styling with a complementary clutch and sandals.

Alicia Vikander: I know that some question the Alicia and LV pairing, but she just wears the looks so effortlessly—even this rebellious combination between a striped top and leopard skirt, topped off with combat boots, had an undeniable cool-girl vibe.

Front Row @ Givenchy Spring 2018

Paris Fashion Week saw a host of pretties on the front row at the Givenchy Spring 2018 show on Sunday (October 1) to witness designer Clare Waight Keller’s first collection for the label.

Lily Collins: Angelic with an edge. That’s exactly how I’d describe Lily’s diaphanous white lace dress punctuated by the black under-straps and mod white booties. I did find myself wishing for a more streamlined, barely-there black sandal here.

Cate Blanchett: Queen Cate was back in all her glory in this impossibly chic suiting ensemble. I love how the cropped proportions and the midnight-blue lip motif on the jacket—coupled with her pendant necklaces—brought a sense of unconventional yet effortless sophistication to the look.

Fan Bingbing: Despite its all-white palette, there was a dramatic allure that permeated this trench dress that saw Fan continuing to step across the line of her go-to, princess-and-platform styles. She balanced the subtle mystique of the sheer sleeves, which was echoed in the sheer gloves and sheer pants, with her sleek bun and bold red lip.

Fan Bingbing’s Fashion Week: Delpozo, Oscar de la Renta, Zhang Shuai, Chris by Christopher Bu & Louis Vuitton

Paris Fashion Week has just begun after a whirlwind of shows in Milan, London, and New York City.

But, on the other side of the world, Fan Bingbing has been having her own personal fashion week, as she promotes ‘Sky Hunter’ in a full range of typically high-style looks that could have just stepped off the runway.

2017 TV Online Video Ceremony: I love how this Delpozo Resort 2018 navy gown provides a modern, grown-up allure to the princess aesthetic with its wispy balloon sleeves and diaphanous layers, which she wore on Tuesday (September 26) in Shanghai, China. Sparkling De Beers jewels and a power magenta lip completed this cool-girl interpretation of feminine romance.

‘Sky Hunter’ Promotion In Hangzhou: Also on Tuesday, Fan offered up a completely different look in this Oscar de la Renta Resort 2018 ensemble. While they were perhaps rolled up in a pinch to accommodate her frame, I would have preferred to see the wide-leg jeans without the cuffs. But, the vivid orange blazer was a striking counterpoint. Did you miss the lookbook’s belt?

‘Sky Hunter’ Promotion In Hefei: This Zhang Shuai Fall 2017 power suit was pretty in pink, providing a sharp feminine focus on the menswear trend at this promo event on Saturday (September 23). This was such a classic, streamlined look for Fan that likewise continues to see her step outside the princess gown box. You may remember that she has worn this designer before.

Fan Bingbing in Monse – ‘Sky Hunter’ Beijing Premiere

Fan Bingbing was back on the red carpet for the ‘Sky Hunter’ Beijing premiere on Thursday (September 21) in China.

The actress has been stepping outside the box of her billowy gowns and ultra platforms, and I couldn’t be more happy to see her explore other dimensions of her style.

This Monse Resort 2018 combined menswear inspiration with flowy femininity for an intriguing effect.

While I preferred the fit of the jacket on the model, Fan worked this outfit to her advantage.

And, again, she gets bonus points for her footwear with single-sole booties a perfect choice instead of hooves.
