Famke Janssen In J Mendel - 'X-Men Days Of Future Past' World Premiere

Famke Janssen took to the red carpet for the ‘X-Men: Days Of Future Past’ world premiere held at Jacob Javits Center on Saturday (May 10) in New York City.

The actress wore a J. Mendel strapless bustier dress with organza inserts, which she styled with black accessories which help dial down the saccharine nature of the look somewhat.

Tousled tresses and a diamond encrusted bracelet completed her look.

Famke Janssen In Carolina Herrera - 'The Wolverine' London Premiere

Famke Janssen, who reprises her role as Jean Grey in ‘The Wolverine’, joined her co-stars Hugh Jackman, Tao Okamoto and Rila Fukushima on the red carpet at the Empire Leicester Square for the London premiere yesterday evening.

She arrived in style wearing a Carolina Herrera Fall 2013 rose-and-black v-neck gown, leaving her tumbling brown locks loose around the shoulders.

Opting to mix metals she selected gold and silver bracelets with a black-and-gold Kotur ‘Rene’ clutch and flawless makeup completing her look.

At first I was put off by the black part of the look, but on reflection the gown may have been a tad one note without it.

15th Annual Costume Designers Guild Awards

Here are the rest of the looks from the 15th annual Costume Designers Guild Awards, held at The Beverly Hilton Hotel in California yesterday evening.

Amy Poehler: The comedian showed off the sophisticated side of her style wearing a black satin Prada dress. The cape-like sleeves gave this curve-hugging number a fresh take while matching black satin heels kept the glam factor going. My favorite part of the entire look? Her Ippolita emerald-green drop earrings that gave this all black ensemble a major boost of colour.

Kristen Wiig: On the other side of the colour-spectrum, Poehler’s former colleague and fellow comedian, Kristen Wiig opted for an all white relaxed shift dress. Taupe suede Christian Louboutin ‘Miyousra’ pumps and a tan clutch with a bright coral stripe accessorized the look by adding depth and a bit of colour.

Maya Rudolph: I can’t say this is my favourite look this awards season, but there are rumours that the comedian is expecting again, so this forest-green one-shoulder printed caftan might serve as a cover up.

Famke Janssen: The’Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters’ star wore a strapless body-hugging plum David Meister gown. While this simple gown felt safe especially on someone like Famke, who has the body to show off all sorts of cuts and styles, the end result was beautiful and elegant. The tone played out Famke’s gorgeous locks which had an Old Hollywood glamour appeal, while the form of the dress highlighted her statuesque form.

Famke Janssen In Naeem Khan - ‘Hansel and Gretel Witch Hunters’ Berlin Film Festival Premiere

Famke Janssen joined Gemma Arterton on the red carpet for the Berlin Film Festival premiere of ‘Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters’ on Tuesday.

The actress opted for a glamorous look, wearing a Naeem Khan Pre-Fall 2012 gown.

Her gorgeous tulle one-shoulder gown, enriched with paillettes and feathers, is a look worthy of a film festival premiere.

Opting not to upstage her gown, she styled the look with a black clutch, barely-there makeup and side-swept wavy locks.

Famke Janssen joined Gemma Arterton for the premiere of ‘Hansel And Gretel: Witch Hunters’ held at TCL Chinese Theatre in Hollywood, California yesterday evening.

The actress wore a Temperley London emerald-green silk satin gown with flattering draped details.

At the back, the dress makes a bolder statement with embellished criss-cross straps covered in Swarovski stones.

Famke’s supremely feminine gown was styled with a black-and-gold-striped Edie Parker clutch, a gold cuff and sleek straight tresses.

Famke Janssen In John Galliano - 2013 Critics' Choice Movie AwardsSubtle she was not, as Famke Janssen explored her fashion-forward side for the 2013 Critics’ Choice Movie Awards at Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, California.

One of yesterday evening’s presenters, Famke faced off with the runway in her John Galliano Fall 2012 entrance. But the catwalk may have won this modish match.

The teal blue design with sheer paneling was theatre at its finest on the Galliano model, but the moody tone and the shimmery gossamer layers of the gown looked less appropriate on the red carpet. But if anyone could have made it work, it was this statuesque Dutch actress and former model.

She did eschew the mesh gloves, seen on the runway, which was a wise move, although her bangles seemed out of place.

Do you think Famke’s look was fab or drab?
