Red Carpet Fashion Awards

Aren’t you glad Evan Rachel Wood traded in her long lackluster locks for a cute cropped cut?

We certainly are. In fact, we’re head over heels in love with ERW’s shorter strands for two reasons: 1) We had absolutely NO idea just how gorgeous she is, and 2) Because she does more than just wear it straight. (We’re looking right at you Michelle Williams—and Carey Mulligan.)

Her versatile cut comes across as being completely effortless, yet beyond badass. Plus, it’s the perfect juxtaposition between masculine and feminine—it’s very ‘David Bowie androgynous meets Halle Berry sexy with a touch of Tilda Swinton elegance.’

Marcus Francis, the mane mastermind behind this particular look, tells us exactly what he did to create Wood’s scrunchy waves so you can try your hand at her pretty, punky pixie.

There’s no doubt about it; LACMA’s Art and Film Gala was filled with a bevy of beauties including Evan Rachel Wood.

The actress channelled her inner 20s flapper girl wearing a gold and black Gucci Spring 2012 dress.

She teamed the fringe frock with matching t-strap heels and black drop earrings.

After chopping off her locks, the actress has been sporting vintage-inspired hairstyles. This time around, she went for a finger-wave ‘do.

She completed her ensemble with kohl-rimmed eyeliner and a cherry rose-toned pout.

Evan Rachel Wood attended the LA Times Young Hollywood Roundtable during the AFI FEST 2011 on Friday in LA.

The actress opted to wear a Christian Dior grey wool flannel pencil dress with button details.

She paired her dress with a black bow accented leather belt and black satin Ferragamo pumps.

Black crystal stud earrings, a black bracelet, and a natural pink lip colour completed her look.

This is my least favourite look from Evan.

She’s too young to be wearing this safe, aging look.

This is a great look for an office, but not a red carpet event especially when the words ‘Young Hollywood’ are in the title.

Evan Rachel Wood attended the ‘The Ides of March’ London Film Festival premiere with co-star George Clooney last night.

She wore a black Emilio Pucci Fall 2011 belted jacket with a delicate lace trim which was paired with a simple black Prada skirt.

Red Ferragamo satin pumps and matching lips provided a delightful pop of colour to her black-on-black look.

There is something very Dita Von Teese about this look. Do you remember that phase?

Earlier in the day, Evan attended the photocall for the movie wearing an Alexa Chung for Madewell ‘Bunny’ dress.

Her black long-sleeved shirt dress with a white collar and cuffs was teamed with black tights and Gucci knee-high boots.

I feel like this look is a bit too cutesy for Evan, even with the edgy spiked Jennifer Behr headband, but it’s great she doesn’t pigeon hole herself with one look.

Whilst most people wore Calvin Klein to Elle’s 18th Annual Women in Hollywood Tribute in Beverly Hills yesterday evening, it was Evan Rachel Wood who unsurprisingly stepped out of the box.

The actress wore her third Alessandra Rich Fall 2011 dress to this event, following the gorgeous looks she wore at ‘The Ides Of March’ Venice Film Festival premeire and the ‘Mildred Pierce Venice Film Festival premiere.

Her full-length black sleeveless dress was paired with Giuseppe Zanotti cut-out ankle boots and a long silver necklace with a pendant.

The dress is majorly lacking a wow factor for me. Even with the sheer panels on the side.

I wish she added some inspiring accessories.
