Red Carpet Fashion Awards

Eva Mendes took over the promo tour duty for ‘Holy Motors’ from Kylie Minogue on Saturday night, as Eva attended the 2012 AFI Fest screening held at Grauman’s Chinese Theatre in Hollywood, California.

Possibly taking a cue from the Australian actress, Eva wore a Dolce & Gabbana lace dress.

Her u-neck lace dress with three-quarter length sleeves may not be something we haven’t seen before, but you have to admit Eva is smouldering hot in this dress.

The focus point of this look is her stand-out Sergio Rossi black satin ‘Compact’ clutch with a gold trim.

Black Brian Atwood pumps, emerald-green jewels and barely there makeup completed her look.

Was this va-va-voom or blah-blah-meh for you?

Eva Mendes walked the red carpet at the Toronto Film Festival last night with boyfriend Ryan Gosling for the premiere of their film ‘The Place Beyond The Pines’.

The actress opted for a semi-sheer Dolce & Gabbana dress from the designers’ Fall 2012 collection for the event.

This is a difficult look to pull off on the red carpet. The busy lace will always detract from the person wearing it.

She’s attempted to keep her accesories to a minimum with the simple Casadei blade pumps and clutch, and though I admire Eva’s bravery with the Prada turban, I’m not sure it works here.

What do you think?

It seems as though Eva Mendes has found the perfect accessory for her casual street style – her crossbody Ralph Lauren Collection Cartridge bag.

The gorgeous movie star was first spotted carrying the bag on Monday in West Hollywood whilst taking a walk with her dog, pairing the tan bag with a simple white tee and a loose skirt and her favourite Thierry Lasry ‘Obsessy’ shades.

Proving just how versatile the classic bag truly is, Eva continued to carry the Ralph Lauren satchel on Tuesday vintage shopping and Wednesday wearing an ikat-print Thakoon dress as she ran errands around West Hollywood.

The no-fuss carryall is a perfect complement to Eva’s boho-chic street style, fitting in effortlessly with her vintage-inspired looks.

Eva Mendes quenched my thirst for chic summer dressing while walking her dog yesterday in LA.

She opted for a light, eye-catching look with covetable accessories. The perfect combination.

I love her red 3.1 Phillip Lim shift dress. It’s such an easy to throw on look.

She amped up the look with some Rebecca Minkoff statement accessories which included ‘Drew’ cage heels and a minty fresh eyelet ‘M.A.C.’ clutch.

The colour combination of red, mustard and mint green on paper may raise eyebrows, but it works so perfectly on Eva.

Do you love this as much as I do?

Eva Mendes has been spotted several times wearing her Thierry Lasry ‘Obsessy’ shades.

Her vintage blue and green frame shades add a fun element to her everyday dressed up or dressed down looks.

Thierry Lasry launched his label in 2006 after he discovered he had a passion for avant-garde eyewear.

Made in France, the free from logos sunglasses are identifiable by Lasry’s signature retro lenses and striking frames, which have earned him an impressive A-list following including Rihanna, Cassie, Anne Hathaway, Dita von Teese, Jessica Alba, Lady Gaga and Hilary Duff.

You can purchase Thierry Lasry’s ‘futuristic vintage’ sunglasses from Net-A-Porter.com and Browns Fashion.
