Red Carpet Fashion Awards

Joining Charlize Theron at the POLITCO table, Eva Longoria attended the 2012 White House Correspondents’ Association Dinner on Saturday evening.

In one of the evening’s rare cocktail-length dresses, Eva showed off her petite frame wearing a Marchesa Fall 2012 dress.

With a high collar, brocade pattern and strong architectural skirt, a dress of this nature could easily overpower Eva’s 5’0” height, but the actress completely works it.

An elegant updo gives off an illusion of height, as well as an extra dose of sophistication.

It’s a shame that I feel I can’t give Eva a genuine compliment as she ruins the look with Brian Atwood black pumps.

Eva Longoria hosted the Vanity Fair and Chrysler celebration of her eponymous charity in Hollywood on Thursday evening, which was supported by her besties, Victoria Beckham and Kate Beckinsale.

The ‘Desperate Housewives’ star wore a daring Cushnie et Ochs Spring 2012 cocktail dress.

The strapless black dress boasted a deep v-neck with architectural cut-outs.

We’ve seen a lot of Cushnie et Ochs on the red carpet in just the past week alone, but this sleek dress just might be my favourite.

Black Brian Atwood pumps and a poof-ed up-do complete the look.

I love picture below as VB is striking her signature pose even when seated.

Eva Longoria hosted a Pre-Oscar flamenco party at her Hollywood restaurant, Beso, on Wednesday night.

Rather than wear an obvious flamenco dress, Eva wore an all black Zuhair Murad Fall 2011 look.

Wide-leg silk pants paired with a sheer lace blouse give the actress a very masculine meets feminine look.

A wide side-braid plays up the femininity of the sheer top, worn with smoky eyes and a glossy lip.

While wide-legged pants help elongate the leg, I find this look to be unflattering on the petite actress.

Kudos for switching things up on the red carpet, but better luck next time.

A side-swept plait, Ferragamo pumps and a black clutch completed her look.

Eva Longoria dazzled on the red carpet whilst attending the Noble Gift Gala at the Dorchester Hotel in London this weekend.

The ‘Desperate Housewives’ star looked the best she has in recent times wearing a J. Mendel gown.

She was positively radiant in this berry halterneck plunging gown, which did well to show off her toned body and smooth olive skin.

Her makeup is perfection. I don’t think I have ever said that about Eva.

A small cream embellished Ferragamo clutch and a simple updo completed her look.

Let’s pray she keeps this up.

Victoria Beckham and Eva Longoria have been BFFs pretty much since the Beckhams arrived in LA.

The result of this friendship has been that Eva has been very supportive of VB’s dress collection.

They have once before worn the same dress in the same colour, but on this occasion they wore the same dress on the same day.

Victoria wore the 100 dress in Kingfisher blue at LAX airport en route to New York.

The designer was spotted carrying her little bundle of joy whilst donning shades and teaming her signature fitted dress with Louboutin knee-high boots.

Eva wore the same dress in caramel with Brian Atwood ‘Marlo’ pumps to the Hollywood Style Awards on Sunday.

Victoria wins by a very long mile for me.

I really dislike Eva’s styling and I much prefer the blue to the caramel colour.

You can buy Victoria Beckham’s kingfisher blue 100 dress exclusively from Net-A-Porter US, Net-A-Porter International and in yellow from Net-A-Porter US.

Eva Longoria was the first to wear this Victoria Beckham draped wool and silk blend crepe dress whilst attending the ‘Glamour Reel Moments’ event in LA last month.

Her elegant dress, which is cinched in at the waist and has an artfully draped neckline, was teamed with Brian Atwood black satin pumps and styled with a ponytail.

Tamara Ecclestone wore the same dress to her fundraising dinner for Great Ormond Street Children’s Hospital Charity in London last night.

The reality TV star and Billionairess opted for a similar hairstyle to Eva.

Eva wins for me, because I don’t think Tamara’s grey lace Christian Louboutin ‘Daffodil’ pumps quite work with the sophistication of this dress.
