Who Wore Carolina Herrera Better…Teresa Palmer or Eugenia Silva?

Who Wore Carolina Herrera Better Teresa Palmer or Eugenia Silva

Teresa Palmer wore a beautiful Carolina Herrera Fall 2014 bright red gown with tonal appliqués to the opening ceremony of the 19th Busan International Film Festival last month.

A few weeks later Eugenia Silva wore the same gown to the Elle Style Awards, styling her look with a selection of gold jewels.

As you know, I’m never one to wish for a re-run, but that was the case on this occasion as I felt Teresa didn’t really have the presence to pull off this gown, plus the fit was off, especially around the waist.

This was an easy win for Eugenia.

Eugenia Silva In Carolina Herrera – Elle Style Awards 2014

Eugenia Silva In Carolina Herrera - Elle Style Awards 2014

Eugenia Silva attended the Elle Style Awards party held at the Italian Embassy on Thursday (October 23) in Madrid, Spain.

The model graced the red carpet wearing a bright red Carolina Herrera Fall 2014 strapless gown with tonal appliqués which was one of the standout pieces on this red carpet.

You may remember that Teresa Palmer wore this same dress back in June, without the same breathtaking results or the presence to pull off such a gown.

Never one to wish for a re-run when there are usually 30 other looks the star can pick from the same collection, this gown deserved a re-run. Eugenia totally did justice to this stunning gown.

Eugenia Silva In Delpozo – Yo Dona Awards

Eugenia Silva In Delpozo - Yo Dona Awards

Eugenia Silva attended the ‘Yo Dona Awards’ held at Zarzuela Hippodrome on Tuesday (June 24) in Madrid, Spain.

Wearing a local brand, the model donned a Delpozo Spring 2014 dress featuring appliqué embellishments on the shoulders of the ruched tulle bodice, with a sheer waist giving the illusion of separates, and a multi-tiered full floral skirt.

The unique look was styled with the same gold open-toe Delpozo slingbacks with an exaggerated bow detail at the ankle which we saw on the runway, plus a pair of drop earrings.

Everything else, including her hairstyle, was kept simple.

On most this would’ve overwhelmed and become tent-like; however, I think Eugenia managed to pull off quite a complicated look.

Do you agree?

Coach Madrid Boutique Opening

Coach Madrid Boutique Opening

Eugenia Silva, Freida Pinto, and Karlie Kloss were all on hand to celebrate the Coach boutique opening in Madrid, Spain on Wednesday.

Eugenia Silva: Undoubtedly the most polished of the trio, the Spanish model donned a slick Coach two-tone leather tunic dress with a black Coach Borough Bag. To finish, she added even more classic touches via toned-down waves, a bold red lip, statement earrings, and black pumps.

Freida Pinto: While the actress started off simply enough — wearing a black tunic top and berry-hued Hoss Intropia silk studded trousers — she ultimately landed on more of a bohemian vibe, courtesy of her embellished Hoss Intropia vest. She accessorized with a Coach ‘The Clutchable’ clutch, black pumps, and a top-knot.

Karlie Kloss: The statuesque model wore an eye-catching teal-coloured Coach Rex rabbit sleevless tunic  with skin-tight black leather jeans cut above the ankle. While the main outfit pieces certainly struck a rocker-chic note, Karlie pared it down with black kitten heels and a long white clutch.

With three distinct looks to choose from, which is best?

‘Ballo in Maschera’ to Celebrate Dolce & Gabbana Alta Moda

Anna Dello Russo

Leave it to drama kings Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana to top off the recent haute couture shows with an elaborate flourish. The design duo orchestrated ‘Ballo in Maschera,’ an extravagant Venetian masquerade ball held in the halls of the historic Palazzo Pisani Moretta along the Grand Canal last Saturday. A collection of brilliantly costumed guests, each having received a mask created by the designers, arrived by gondola or boat to celebrate the Dolce & Gabbana Alta Moda Fall Winter 2013/14 presented in Venice, Italy.

Anna Dello Russo: ‘Understated’ is not in this ‘Vogue’ Japan editor’s vocabulary, so it’s only natural that she put the costume in this costume party with a spirited ship fascinator atop her expansive wig. Flaunting a period costume with layers and layers of ruffles and piles of frou, ADR was definitely the fashion queen of the evening.
