2014 DVF Awards

2014 DVF Awards

A host of stars joined Sarah Jessica Parker for the 2014 DVF Awards held at the United Nations on Friday (April 4) in New York City.

Alicia Keys: The singer wore a DVF Fall 2014 cosmic-blue long sleeve jumpsuit styled with black lace Louboutins and a Lorraine Schwartz yellow gold diamond link bracelet. I’m not always a fan of Alicia’s looks as they tend to be a tad unflattering, so I’m pleasantly surprised that I love this look on her.

Chanel Iman: Dressed in a white DVF Spring 2014 ‘Barcelona’ dress which featured a basket-weave pattern and horizontal ribbing, the model styled the look with chain accented sandals, smoky eyes and a hot-red pout.

Estelle: The British singer is my favourite here, donning a DVF eclectic-print maxi halter dress styled with a dark-green clutch and statement jewels which perhaps she overloaded on.

Estelle In The Hellers & Alexa von Canisius – 14th Annual Art For Life Gala: A Field Of Dreams

Estelle In The Hellers & Alexa von Canisius - 14th Annual Art For Life Gala A Field Of Dreams

Estelle made a cool splash at Russell Simmons’ 14th annual Art For Life benefit gala at Fairview Farms in Bridgehampton, New York over the weekend.

The singer arrived in a monochromatic, micro-print cross-back crop top and matching kimono pants by The Hellers. To up the glam factor, she sprinkled the look with touches of gold with a long pendant necklace, bangles and lace-up sandals. I would have preferred to see her wavy, two-tone locks swept into a sleek updo for added polish.

For her performance, Estelle continued to rock the patterns, this time in an Alexa von Canisius strapless, corset top and a high-waisted skirt that featured colourful, mixed prints. Her neon-blasted heels looked like they were made for this ensemble, whilst her sleeker, straight ‘do helped me get past the dip-dye effect.

Estelle In Vintage Chanel – 2012 Art of Elysium Heaven Gala

Yesterday evening I attended the 2012 Art of Elysium Heaven Gala in LA, so I was able to meet to all the celebs who hit the red carpet.

British singer Estelle, who performed at the event, was first to arrive.

She looked beautiful wearing a vintage Chanel dress from Decades, who hosted the grand soiree.

Green satin Christian Louboutin peep-toes and a bejeweled Judith Leiber clutch accessorized her navy lace dress with a ruffled hemline.

Estelle In Diane von Furstenberg – VH1 Divas Celebrates Soul

Estelle was one of the many amazing singers to attend VH1’s Divas Celebrate Soul event at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City last night.

The British singer, who’s based in the US, wore a Diane von Furstenberg ‘Clarice’ dress.

This gold-sequin gown is very luxurious with a sexy plunging neckline.

Estelle accessorized with gold trinkets, but added emerald-green peep-toes to complete her look.

I love her rich burgundy hair colour and her makeup is flawless.

You can step out in style this holiday season by buying Estelle’s Diane von Furstenberg dress from Matches Fashion.

Who Wore Alice + Olivia Better? Corrine Bailey Rae or Estelle

Corrine Bailey Rae attended Christian Siriano’s Spring 2012 presentation which was held at The Vault during New York Fashion Week earlier this month.

She looked beautiful wearing an Alice + Olivia colour-block maxi dress with long sleeves and diagonal panels in contrasting black and grey colours.

The singer accessorized with a tan chain strap bag and a thin leather belt.

Soft makeup completed her look.

Estelle wore the same dress in a red and black colour combination when she attended the Us Weekly’s 25 Most Stylish New Yorkers of 2011 event at Penthouse in New York, a few days later.

The singer accessorized her look with a wide black leather belt, a small black clutch, a cuff bracelet and purple pointed-toe platform heels.

She also added a fun pair of gold earrings with black stones and an oversized cocktail ring to her look.

My vote is going to Estelle. I love her bold ensemble and how her red hair and lips complement the dress. I also prefer how she added fun accessories.

You can buy this colour-block Alice + Olivia dress from Bloomingdale’s in black and white or Shopbop.com in red and black.
