Red Carpet Fashion Awards

Models @ 2013 CFDA Fashion Awards

Some of our favourite cat-walkers were among the mix of style royalty at the 2013 CFDA Fashion Awards at Lincoln Center’s Alice Tully Hall in New York City. The models definitely had their moment last night, strutting out a slew of bold-name designers and even bolder looks to match.

Adriana Lima: Donning a leggy and luxe Riccardo Tisci for Givenchy Fall 2013 confection, this Brazilian beauty did justice to the edgy designer—who was the CFDA International Award Winner—even with black bloomers peeking through the gown. A center-parted ‘do and glowing makeup finished the look. Fellow model Joan Smalls rocked a similar Givenchy sheer design at the amfAR Cinema Against AIDS Gala. Who do you think wore it best?

Miranda Kerr: This model mom made waves with a retro-modern frock by Proenza Schouler. The square neckline and fit-and-flare shape were nothing if not fun and provided the perfect palette for the trippy, painterly cerulean and verdigris hues. More sophistication came with a classic pair of black, triple ankle-wrap Stuart Weitzman heels, Jennifer Meyer jewels and a silver Stuart Weitzman clutch, along with a fuchsia lippie and low bun.

Joan Smalls: The lovely Latina wore a breezy white, strapless Givenchy gown. The matte white panel on the bottom created a sort of casual, sundress feel. But upon closer inspection, it was anything but beach-y with a corseted bodice and sheer lace-embellished skirt. The glittering choker-necklace added a daring, darker note.

Erin Wasson has done modelling and designing, now she’s giving acting a serious go.

The triple threat took to the red carpet last night for the premiere of her latest movie, ‘Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter’, held at the AMC Loews Lincoln Square in New York City on Monday evening.

Dressed in an Etro Fall 2012 gown, the model selected a simple blue-and-grey colourway to the multi-coloured version which took to the runway.

Even with a mesh insert throughout, the gown wasn’t that revealing.

Erin styled her hair into a slicked-back ponytail and added Chopard jewels.

I love the overall clean look, as Erin has a tendency to look quite scruffy on the red carpet.

Erin Wasson made her second appearance on the red carpet during Cannes Film Festival yesterday evening.

On this occasion she attended the Soiree Chopard ‘Mystery Party’ wearing an Oscar de la Renta Fall 2012 dress.

Her strapless multi-colour paillette and beaded fringe silk crepe-de-Chine column gown was teamed with a Chopard necklace.

This was one of my favourite looks, but I can’t help be disappointed by Erin’s bare face and straggly hair.

They don’t do this gown justice, but she’s staying true to her style.

Erin Wasson took to the red carpet for the ‘Amour’ premiere during the 2012 Cannes Film Festival this evening.

The model wore an Antonio Berardi Spring 2012 dress.

Her flowing silk chiffon rise-and-fall light blue gown was decorated with scattered ruby leather petals.

I would’ve balanced the style’s high neck with a pinned updo, but Erin opted to sweep her wavy locks over one shoulder which works perfectly.

A slick of nude lippie, Aquazzura ‘Carine’ nude-and-gold sandals and Chopard jewels completed her look.

Nina Garcia, Michael Kors and Heidi Klum were joined by Erin Wasson to judge the contestants on episode 5 of Project Runway this week.

Erin wore a Michael Kors Fall 2011 look which included a simple white top and vest with silk butterscotch harem pants, whilst Heidi wore a Michael Michael Kors black sequin strapless jumpsuit.

Nina continues her fabulous fashionable run on the show wearing a 3.1 Phillip Lim Static beaded-sleeve dress from the Fall 2011 collection.

You may remember we saw Ginnifer Goodwin wear this same dress, but her sleeves were black compared to Nina’s gold.

The judge wore her dress with Givenchy sandals and a black rodeo-style corset belt.

I already can’t wait to see what she gives us next week.

Sofia Coppola was just one of the many attendees to wear Louis Vuitton on the red carpet for the “Somewhere” LA Premiere last night.

Having very close ties with the brand, she of course wore a custom look. She dazzled wearing a black sequin LV dress which she paired with LV wedges and a Louis Vuitton Sofia Coppola clutch.

The rest of the stars gave us the first glimpse of the Louis Vuitton Spring 2011 collection on the red carpet.

New girl on the block Jessica Chastain, opted to wear a very sexy Louis Vuitton Spring 2011 dress with a plunging neckline and floral print design on the hem of her skirt.

Green Brian Atwood pumps and a colouful LV Spring 2011 clutch completed her look.

Australian actress Isabel Lucas wore a black lace Louis Vuitton top and a long violet skirt which she teamed with same black sandals the model wore on the runway.

Erin Wasson of course picked the look that many wouldn’t be brave enough to wear.

On many this would look ridiculous, but on I love this look on her. She looks so damn cool and at ease in her printed jumpsuit.
