Emma Watson in Peter Pilotto - 2013 People’s Choice Awards

Emma Watson was all smiles when she collected her ‘Favourite Dramatic Movie Actress’ award at the 2013 People’s Choice Awards held at the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live in California yesterday evening.

Flying the flag for London-based designers, the British actress wore a Peter Pilotto Spring 2013 eclectic print ensemble.

The look features a tri-colour embroidered top with cut-out details and a satin peplum detail, which was styled with a colourful printed skirt which has been shortened from the runway and given a solid-black banded hemline.

I prefer the longer length, but with great legs and youth on her side, she pulls this look off with great panache.

Tabitha Simmons ‘Bailey’ sandals, a half-up, half-down hairstyle, and a red pout completed her look.

Lea Michele In Elie Saab - 2013 People’s Choice Awards

Pretty in head-to-toe pink, Lea Michele was radiant on the red carpet last night for the 2013 People’s Choice Awards held at the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live in California where she picked up the ‘Favourite Comedic TV Actress’ award.

Would you believe this is Lea Michele’s first Elie Saab dress?

The ‘Glee’ actress delights wearing a pink short-sleeve cocktail dress with embellished lace detailing from the Spring 2012 collection.

To showcase her perfect pins, the dress was taken from knee-length to thigh-length, which is something we expect from the likes of Kristen Stewart.

After Lea wore so many samey gowns towards the end of last year, I’m glad to see her opting for something more fresh and youthful.

My one-to-watch in 2013 is yet to disappoint.

A braided updo, and matching pink Elie Saab sandals plus Anita Ko jewels completed her look.

Do you like her bold-hued red carpet choice, or is it too one note for you?

Chloe Moretz In Simone Rocha - 2013 People’s Choice Awards

I was very excited to see Chloe Moretz wear something young and fun on the red carpet at the 2013 People’s Choice Awards at the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live in California last night.

The actress glowed wearing a Simone Rocha ‘Big Daisy’ dress from the Spring 2013 collection.

She would’ve been one of my favourites had the accessories been as vibrant, or at the very least more complementary to her dress.

Chloe has kick-started many footwear trends and even introduced us to Sophia Webster, so I feel a bit disappointed that her neon-yellow dress was paired with black suede Casadei blade pumps.

The same disappointment applies to her black Smythson envelope clutch.

This is a case of an amazing dress weighed down with heavy accessories.

You may remember that Alexa Chung wore the black version of this dress to the British Fashion Awards last year.

Jennifer Aniston In Christian Dior - 2013 People’s Choice Awards

Being the big superstar that she is, Jennifer Aniston didn’t take to the red carpet for the 2013 People’s Choice Awards held at the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live in California last night.

She was, however, captured backstage hugging her ‘Favourite Comedic Actress’ award wearing a Christian Dior leather dress.

My surprise here is twofold: firstly, that she’s not wearing Valentino and secondly, that she would select such an unflattering dress, which makes her appear wider than she actually is.

If she was going to stick to her formulaic LBD, I wish she had opted for a simpler, classic form-fitting silhouette.

No doubt her name alone will place her on many best-dressed lists, but it’s a no for me. Save the fit-and-flare dresses for the specialist, Kristin Davis.

Tom Ford black ankle-strap heels and Fred Leighton jewels completed her look.

Naomi Watts In Alexander McQueen - 2013 People’s Choice Awards

Naomi Watts continued her amazing start to the year at the 2013 People’s Choice Awards at the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live in California last night.

‘The Impossible’ actress selected an Alexander McQueen Resort 2013 gown.

Her jaw-dropping haltered look with an open back featured a colourful Swarovski crystal neckline, a gold sequin mesh front panel and a long black crepe skirt.

From head-to-toe she oozes glamour, with a side-swept updo and barely-there makeup giving her a natural glow.

Jennifer Meyer earrings and a Jimmy Choo clutch completed her stunning look.

Jennifer Lawerence In Valentino Couture - 2013 People’s Choice Awards

Jennifer Lawrence took home the ‘Favourite Movie Actress’ Award at the 2013 People’s Choice Awards, held at the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live yesterday evening, which officially kicked off awards season.

The young actress started the year as she ended the last – failing to impress.

I had hoped the young star was just experimenting last year, but this Valentino Fall 2012 Couture dress does nothing for her, except age her somewhat.

At this point I’m starting to believe her team is trying to take her down the Rooney Mara route, because I can picture her pulling off this look.

Where is the playful, fresh Jennifer of early 2012?

The only plus side for me is that her hair appears lighter.

Nicholas Kirkwood diamond-encrusted black satin pumps and Cartier jewels completed her look.

The disco-era called, they want their dress back.
