Front Row @ Tory Burch Spring 2014

Tory Burch’s Spring 2014 show, held today during New York Fashion Week at the David H. Koch Theater at Lincoln Center, saw a charming and fresh set of exits parading down the watery-blue catwalk. The ladies in the front row launched their own charm offensive, too.

Emmy Rossum: The actress was the epitome of preppy-chic in her navy-blue Tory Burch Resort 2013 ‘Sandy’ lace-embellished sweater and ‘Davis’ leather leggings. She adorably styled the look with Tory Burch’s ‘Gracie’ pumps, the ‘Sparkle’ square frame clutch—and a perfect red lip. But her best accessory may have been her camera, as she snapped away documenting all the runway action.

Rashida Jones: Wearing a veritable garden bouquet, the actress put on a blooming ‘Kaley’ dress that also hailed from the Tory Burch Resort 2013 collection. Pointy, black gladiator-inspired heels, as well as a bold red clutch and crimson lippie, were punchy if not slightly harsh counterpoints to the pastel mini-frock.

Anna Dello Russo: The fashionably eccentric editrix skipped the Tory Burch trend, instead showing us a Saint Laurent Fall 2013 dress. The pink rose-patterned frock was just too twee, even with its black bow and those heavily embellished, studded black boots, which couldn’t put the rock star in this look.

Front Row @ Monique Lhuillier Spring 2014

A chic sweep of lovelies were seated front row at the Monique Lhuillier Spring 2014 fashion show yesterday at The Theatre at Lincoln Center in New York City, where they wore all shades and styles of the designer.

Jessica Lowndes: The ’90210′ starlet stunned in a Spring 2013 strapless cocktail dress that featured an artistic flash of vivid, abstract digital prints. A black RK New York spiked clutch, black strappy sandals and sharp pendant earrings grounded the colourful frock with a touch of hardcore edge.

Emmy Rossum: Gorgeous in green, the actress turned on the sophisticated sizzle in a fit-and-flare lace dress from the Fall 2013 collection. From that enchanting hue to her side-swept ‘do, along with those metallic gold Jimmy Choo accessories, there was much to covet here.

Maggie Grace: The actress’s Pre-Fall 2013 black cocktail dress had a frothy and romantic off-the-shoulder silhouette, further boosted with her loose, blonde waves. Yet the painterly splatters of gold that swept across the black frock delivered an aura of drama and mystery to this look, as did her dagger-shaped necklace.

Emmy Rossum In Moschino Cheap and Chic & RED Valentino - ‘Kitchen Revelry’ Cookbook Release Party

Emmy Rossum joined Jamie Chung in celebrating Ali Larter’s new cookbook, ‘Kitchen Revelry’, at Sunset Tower in West Hollywood, California on Tuesday.

The pretty brunette – who always scores many points in the style stakes as she puts everything together herself – wore a black-and-white look consisting of a Moschino Cheap and Chic beaded sweater coordinated with a RED Valentino A-line playful skirt with a sweet white scalloped trim at the waist.

A Rebecca Minkoff mirrored octagon clutch and black pumps completed the season-transitional look.

Do you love the playfulness of the look, or do you find it too twee for the actress?

Emmy Rossum In Rebecca Minkoff - Delta Air Lines Hosts Summer Celebration In Beverly Hills

Emmy Rossum attended a summer celebration hosted by Delta Air Lines in Beverly Hills, California yesterday evening.

Showcasing her effortless, ladylike sartorial style, she wore a colourful printed check Rebecca Minkoff ‘Clara’ bustier dress from the Spring 2013 collection, which she styled with diamond-encrusted Bendels earrings and coral Alice + Olivia ‘Dina’ lizard pumps.

I adore the dress, but it’s the accessories which really complement the look and put it on another level.

A lesser being would have settled for navy or black pumps but Emmy had fun with the look, selecting a standout pair of colourful heels.

Navy-blue lined eyes, a soft pink lip colour, and glossy waves provided the finishing touches.

Best Dressed Of The Week - Emmy Rossun In Carolina Herrera & Gerard Butler In Hugo Boss

There were at least six people I could’ve picked for Best Dressed this week, but I eventually selected the lovely Emmy Rossum in her Carolina Herrera gown. As I said in my earlier post, she was the picture of perfection.

When it came to the guys I was always going to pick a summery look so, like you, I selected Gerard Butler in his cool blue-and-white Hugo Boss suit worn to the Wimbledon men’s final.

I hope we get to see more summery suits this week.

Emmy Rossum In Carolina Herrera - 'Persol Magnificent Obsessions 30 Stories Of Craftsmanship In Film' Opening

Emmy Rossum attended the ‘Persol Magnificent Obsessions: 30 Stories Of Craftsmanship In Film’ opening held at the Museum of the Moving Image in Queens, New York yesterday evening.

Looking perfect from head to toe, the ‘Shameless’ actress gives us our first look at the Carolina Herrera Resort 2014 collection on the red carpet.

The brunette beauty selected a beautiful navy-and-black floral print organza gown with red carnation belt accessorized with a red satin CH Carolina Herrera ‘Jet Set’ clutch.

Her styling is impeccable, with flawless makeup, a chic updo and silver jewels.

I would neither add nor take anything away. As I said above, this look couldn’t be more perfect; it’s a classic old Hollywood screen-siren look which she does so well time after time, yet manages to always keep it so fresh and new.
