Get The Look: Emmy Rossum’s ‘Gala in the Garden’ Sleek Parisian Ponytail

Hammer Museum 12th Annual Gala In The Garden With Generous Support From Bottega Veneta

Celebrity hairstylist Cervando Maldonado worked with Emmy Rossum for the Hammer Museum’s ‘Gala in the Garden’ on Saturday.

Cervando shares his inspiration: “The inspiration for the look was a sleek Parisian ponytail.”

Here’s how to get the look.

He began by applying two pumps of Leonor Greyl Serum de Soie Sublimateur to slightly damp hair, distributing evenly throughout.

Next he blew the hair dry using a Harry Josh Blow Dryer and flat-ironed section by section, bottom to top with a Harry Josh Flat Iron. This left the hair shiny and very straight.

Then he sprayed Serge Normant Meta Sheer Dry Finishing Spray lightly throughout the hair to create extra shine and sleekness. After that he parted the hair in a deep side part and applied Osmo Clay Wax, running it through the hair. He then took a comb and combed through the hair, really making it hold together and stay close to the head. He pulled all the hair back to the nape, pinching it tight, and wrapped a bungee-cord hair tie around the hair very tightly, creating a low ponytail. Then he took a piece of the ponytail and wrapped it around the hair tie to cover and camouflage it.

Next he poured a nickel-sized amount of Shu Uemura Nourishing Protective Oil, rubbed it in his hands, then distributed it through the whole head from the top to the ponytail, which created major shine and a wet look. He finished off by spraying Frederic Fekkai Sheer Hold Hairspray for one last bit of hold and shine.

The Hammer Museum’s 12th Annual ‘Gala In The Garden’

The Hammer Museum's 12th Annual Gala In The Garden

The Hammer Museum’s 12th annual ‘Gala in the Garden’ was held on Saturday (October 11) in Westwood, California in association with Bottega Veneta, where the stars were draped in the Italian brand’s finest pieces.

Dianna Agron: The ‘Glee’ actress continued to showcase her sartorial style wearing a black and nude patterned dress from Bottega Veneta’s Resort 2015 collection. Oozing with elegance and femininity, she styled her dress with the brand’s signature woven clutch. I have found myself hypnotized by Dianna at the moment. Whoever is doing her makeup and making her glow so radiantly is doing a fine job.

January Jones: No surprises that January stood out; she’s never one to blend into the background. The ‘Mad Men’ actress wore an intentionally imperfect vibrant strapless Bottega Veneta patchwork Pre-Fall 2014 dress defined by a hot-pink jacquard, macramé lace, and a metallic coating. Like Dianna, she carried a woven clutch, with Stuart Weitzman ‘Nudist’ sandals providing the finishing touches. Needless to say, she was by far my favourite at this event.

Emmy Rossum: Also carrying a Bottega Veneta woven clutch, the ‘Shameless’ actress looked as lovely as ever wearing a Bottega Veneta Pre-Fall 2014 V-neck black and nude gown shimmering with metallic-gold panels. Like Dianna, she’s glowing.

Emmy Rossum In Altuzarra - 'You're Not You' LA Premiere

Emmy Rossum attended the premiere of ‘You’re Not You’ held at the Vanguard Theatre on Wednesday (October 8) in Los Angeles, California.

As you know, I’m rarely moved by an LBD, but this – this is everything.

Trust Emmy Rossum to be the one to make me swoon over this breathtaking Altuzarra Resort 2015 fitted crepe frock with velvet sleeves, a sexy side slit and an open back.

Factor in the Jimmy Choo ‘Escape’ strappy sandals, those Chopard amethyst and peridot earrings, those plump red lips and her glossy wavy tresses and you’ll find me head over heels in love with this look.

My girl never lets me down.

Michael Kors Celebrates The Launch Of Claiborne Swanson Frank’s ‘Young Hollywood’ Portrait Book

Michael Kors Claiborne Swanson Frank's 'Young Hollywood'

The Michael Kors launch of Claiborne Swanson Frank’s ‘Young Hollywood’ portrait book took place on Thursday (October 2) in Beverly Hills, California.

Hailee Steinfeld: The young star, who was just in Paris for the Miu Miu Spring 2015 show, wore a pretty white lace Michael Kors Resort 2015 dress. I love the tan-coloured accessories, which complemented the lining of her sheer dress, and the contrasting fuchsia lip adding a punchy flourish to her look.

Emmy Rossum: Giving us a sultry vixen look, the ‘Shameless’ actress ensured that all eyes were on her wearing a Michael Kors Resort 2015 plunging chiffon frock with a tiered ruffle skirt. Vamping up the look with kohl-rimmed eyes, a purple MICHAEL Michael Kors ‘Elsie’ clutch added a pop of colour, with her embellished Louboutins adding a touch of sparkle.

Julianne Hough: I keep going back and forth with Julianne’s look. On the one hand I love her Michael Kors Resort 2015 printed cropped suit, but both the matching clutch and brooch detail feel like overkill. I am grateful she didn’t go one step further and wear the matching printed pumps.

Emmy Rossum In Pamella Roland – ‘Rudderless’ Catalina Film Festival Premiere

Emmy Rossum In Pamella Roland - 'Rudderless' Catalina Film Festival Premiere

Emmy Rossum attended the premiere of ‘Rudderless,’ held on Saturday (September 27) during the Catalina Film Festival in Catalina Island, California.

Working a lovely shade of cornflower blue that was a striking colour with her glossy dark waves, the actress donned a Pamella Roland Spring 2015 dress.

Charmingly feminine, the frock’s structured bodice with contrast shaping and on-trend triangular cutout were the sultry counterpoint to the sweetness of the swingy circle skirt.

Darker navy Christian Louboutin heels added another shade of blue to the mix, as did her pretty sky-blue eye shadow.
