Carolina Herrera Fall 2014 Front Row

Carolina Herrera Fall 2014 Front Row

Carolina Herrera’s Fall 2014 show during New York Fashion Week took place on Monday (February 10) and, as expected, it drew a celebrity front row full of her most loyal fans.

Emmy Rossum: With so many memorable Carolina Herrera dresses under her belt, Emmy was no doubt shopping for her next red carpet look to be deemed BDOTW worthy. The actress looked uberchic, taking to the front row wearing a Carolina Herrera black-and-gold embroidered halter blouse and ivory wide leg pant with gold belt detail from the Resort 2014 collection. A few of you had mentioned that the last few red carpet appearances from Emmy haven’t exactly floated your boat for one reason or another, but I’m sure you will agree that this outfit puts her firmly back on track. Christian Louboutin ‘Lagoula’ t-bar sandals and rose-gold ‘Sweety Charity’ mini glitter bag with bow detail accessorized her look.

Dita Von Teese: The burlesque star caught the Carolina Herrera bug about 6 months ago, following her attendance to the Spring 2014 show and she continued her love affair on Monday afternoon. She wore a colour other than black when she selected this pink silk mikado blouse with silverfox fur sleeves and bow detail styled with a grey wool flannel pleated pant. Every thing else (hair and makeup) was business as usual.

Monique Lhuillier Fall 2014 Front Row

Monique Lhuillier Fall 2014 Front Row

The front row at Monique Lhuillier’s Fall 2014 show presented during New York Fashion Week on Thursday (February 8) was packed with stars who we are very likely to see wearing the runway looks in the very near future.

Emmy Rossum: Known to wear her fair share of Monique Lhuillier dresses, the ‘Shameless’ actress was front and centre wearing a white lace blouse, bandeau and pencil skirt from the designer’s Spring 2014 collection. The ladylike look was styled with a chic updo, with a red glossy lip and metallic-gold Rupert Sanderson ‘Elbaa’ pumps adding a punch to the look.

Anna Kendrick: The girl who loves a girlie-girl frock was glowing in the front row wearing a gold belted jacquard mini dress with a flared skirt from the Spring 2013 collection, which she styled with ankle-strap gold sandals from Monique Lhuillier’s Fall 2013 collection. Blown-out waves and neutral makeup rounded out this golden look.

Emmy Rossum In Nonoo – Bergdorf Goodman Meet-And-Greet With Restorsea

Emmy Rossum In Nonoo - Bergdorf Goodman Meet-And-Greet With Restorsea

As the face of Restorsea, Emmy Rossum attended a Meet-and-Greet held at the London Sky Suite at Bergdorf Goodman on Friday (January 24) in New York City.

Opting for a fresh, summery look the actress wore a Nonoo Pre-Fall 2014 button down white shirt dress featuring metallic mesh side panels and blue inserts which she complemented with her sapphire chandelier earrings and lady-like, T-bar open-toe white sandals with a sweet bow accent.

While I love fresh appeal of this look (perfect for a beauty event), I think I would’ve perhaps liked this look even more had it been sleeveless.

Makeup wise she couldn’t have been more flawless; that red lip is to die for.

Emmy Rossum In J. Mendel – ELLE’s Annual Women In Television Celebration

Emmy Rossum In J Mendel - ELLE's Annual Women In Television CelebrationEmmy Rossum was also in the mix at ELLE’s Annual Women in Television Celebration, hosted at Sunset Tower in West Hollywood, California on Wednesday (January 22), where she joined Kiernan Shipka, Odette Annable and other starlets.

The actress was rather angelic in a delicate J. Mendel bi-colour dress in soft peach and white.

A soft updo went right along with the romantic nature of the diaphanous, Grecian-style frock, which also played a quietly sexy game of peekaboo via a few strategically placed cutouts.

Upping the glam factor, she accessorized with sparkling Chopard chandelier earrings and gold-accented, nude Christian Louboutin ‘Princess’ pumps.

I love how she punched up the pastel hues with a hot pink lip.

Tory Burch Rodeo Drive Flagship Opening

Tory Burch Rodeo Drive Flagship Opening

Tory Burch hosted a party on Tuesday (January 14) to celebrate her newly opened boutique on Rodeo Drive, which is her first flagship on the West Coast.

Celebrities came to check out the new store – of course, dressed in Tory Burch pieces, mostly from the Spring 2014 collection, which will banish your winter blues.

Kiernan Shipka: The ‘Mad Men’ actress was by far my favourite at this event. She’s only 14, but I’m always inspired by her red carpet looks. On this occasion she donned a pretty floral embroidered Tory Burch Spring 2014 tunic-style top with matching pants styled with a mirrored Tory Burch minaudiere to round out her uber-chic look, which wouldn’t look out of place on the French Riviera.

Hailee Steinfeld: While I love Hailee’s Tory Burch Spring 2014 ‘Emily’ A-line embellished dress, I wish she’d opted to go sans tights, especially considering she styled the look perfectly, giving it an edge with Tory Burch mirrored ‘Sadie’ slingbacks and a ladylike top-handle bag. The beehive ‘do was a great finishing touch to her ’60s-inspired frock.

Jessica Alba: I often see Jessica wearing Tory Burch pieces in her everyday life, so I was not surprised to see her show her support. Keeping the metallic theme going, she wore a striped cropped top from the Pre-Fall 2014 collection styled with a green freckled-print single pleat skirt from the Spring 2014 collection with the celeb-favourite white pumps.

Antonio Berardi Private Dinner Party

Antonio Berardi Private Dinner Party

Antonio Berardi has long been a favourite of Hollywood starlets and stylists so it was about time he met his loyal fans, and they met the man behind the impeccably tailored, sexy frocks which ensure their well-dressed status when Peroni hosted a private dinner party at Mr Chow’s in Beverly Hills for the man of the hour on Tuesday (January 7).

Kate Beckinsale: Supporting a fellow Brit, Kate sported her favoured ponytail wearing a monochrome racer-neck sheath dress from Antonio Berardi’s Resort 2014 collection which showcases that impeccable tailoring mentioned earlier. Not only does it give her an amazing silhouette, but the panels also give her the illusion of a tiny waist – not that she needs it. Black sandals and. Kotur clutch completed her look.

Nicole Richie: Opting for a look with a looser fit and more of an edge, Nicole, a long-time fan of the designer, wore a black-satin and nude-silk-chiffon zip-front dress with a rise-and-fall hemline from the Spring 2014 collection paired with a gold choker, over-the-knee black boots and a black ponyskin coat.

Most Underrated 2013 – Emmy Rossum

Most Underrated 2013 – Emmy Rossum

Emmy Rossum is no shrinking style violet, continually giving us elegantly timeless, yet still trendy ensembles that are always appropriate and that never fail to raise the fashion bar on the red carpet.

Despite her impossibly chic statements, she seems to be missing the fashion cred she’s so certainly owed.

This past year, she has shown off sweet and sophisticated Oscar de la Renta frocks, ritzy-glitzy, embellished numbers from Elie Saab and Naaem Khan, and all-out glamour girl gowns from the likes of Andrew Gn, Carolina Herrera and Zuhair Murad.

She even channelled her version of pretty-punk in her dazzling Donna Karan Atelier design at the 2013 Met Gala.

She may be a quiet fashion victor, never generating the kind of chatter lauded upon the likes of Jennifer Lawrence, but she should with head-turning looks that have perfection written all over them.

Emmy Rossum In Oscar de la Renta – ‘August: Osage County’ LA Screening

Emmy Rossum In Oscar de la Renta - 'August Osage County' LA Screening

Emmy Rossum attended the ‘August: Osage County’ benefit screening held at the Landmark Theatre in Los Angeles, California on Thursday evening.

Wrapping her brunette locks into a chic topknot, the ‘Shameless’ actress wore a pretty dress from one of her favourite designers, Oscar de la Renta, selecting a navy silk-faille dress with ivory organza, caviar beads, and threadwork embroidery, in the designer’s favoured fit-and-flare silhouette from the Resort 2014 collection.

With a pop of colour courtesy of her glossy red lip shade, she kept the rest of her look neutral, opting for a diamante-encrusted cream clutch, silver jewels and white Rupert Sanderson ‘Elba’ pumps.

It does pain me to admit that the white pumps, despite my disdain for them, do complement the look. This showing proves that the trend, as much as we might have hoped otherwise, isn’t going to be dying down any time soon.

Emmy Rossum In Naeem Khan – Saban Community Clinic’s 37th Annual Benefit Gala

Emmy Rossum In Naeem Khan - Saban Community Clinic's 37th Annual Benefit Gala

Emmy Rossum attended the Saban Community Clinic’s 37th annual benefit gala held at The Beverly Hilton Hotel in California yesterday evening.

We know Emmy so well for her excellent selection of gowns and dresses, but on this rare occasion she wore a black embellished short-sleeved open-back top and pants from Naeem Khan’s Spring 2014 collection, which at first I thought was a jumpsuit.

Going the less is more route, the ‘Shameless’ actress, who was yesterday named as the face of beauty brand Restorsea, styled her look with Chopard white diamond circular drop earrings, black strappy Jimmy Choo sandals, a gold Jimmy Choo ‘Cloud’ clutch and black nail polish.

Sweeping her glossy locks to one side, she opted for cat-eyes and a neutral makeup regime including a pink glossy lip.

Do you like this change of pace from Emmy, or do you prefer her more girlie gown looks?
