Emmy Rossum In Carolina Herrera – 2017 Met Gala

Emmy Rossum was also in attendance at the 2017 Met Gala on Monday (May 1) in New York City.

Leave it to Emmy to bring the ultimate sense of mod yet refined elegance to the proceedings with this Carolina Herrera masterpiece.

I love how the whoosh of the extravagant flourish and train at the side elevated the minimalist spirit of the fusion look. From one side, it was a flowing white gown; from the other, a study in menswear-chic tailoring.

All together, it was a sleekly sophisticated moment with Emmy’s low bun, sparkling jewels, and red lip only adding to the perfect style equation.

Emmy Rossum In Marni – Free Arts NYC 18th Annual Art Auction

Emmy Rossum was at the Free Arts NYC 18th Annual Art Auction on Wednesday (April 26) in New York City.

Donning quite the artistically abstract print herself, Emmy was striking in a Marni Spring 2017 ensemble.

Not only do I love the bold nature of the patterning, the ensemble united the figure-defining femininity of the gathered waist with the ease of pyjama-inspired trousers.

A matching red lip and embellished pumps tied the look together in classic form.

End Of The Week Roundup

With so many looks over the past week, here is a roundup of a few that were missed in the red carpet crush of events.

Julie Ann Emery: Joining Jenny Slate at the ‘Gifted’ LA premiere on Tuesday (April 4), Julie Ann embraced a minimalist angle in this Ingie Paris gown that was lovely for its aura of simplicity, although it seemed to fall a tad long at the front.

Olivia Culpo: Speaking of minimalism, this greige Cushnie et Ochs asymmetric jumpsuit was an easy-chic offering. But, it really just played second fiddle to her ultra-bronzed beauty at the grand opening celebration of the W Las Vegas on Friday (March 31).

Jess Weixler:‏ Visually enticing, the crisp white lines of this Jason Wu gown punctuated its rich burgundy hue. I only wish the actress had opted for a sleeker updo at ‘The SON’ LA premiere on Monday (April 3).

Front Row At Ralph Lauren Fall 2017

The Ralph Lauren Fall 2017 show was held on Wednesday (February 15) in New York City, where a front row of starlets were well-dressed in head-to-toe Ralph Lauren Collection statements.

Deepika Padukone: Fringe took on a lighter mood in Deepika’s Ralph Lauren look that boasted a luminous shimmying effect in movement. Her minimalist styling with a sleek bun and nude heels finished the ensemble with a sophisticated flourish.

Jessica Biel: Black lace became the epitome of ladylike refinement in this tea-length frock, where the white collar might initially seem out of place. Yet it adds a schoolgirl charm to the more dramatic laciness and embellished gold belt.

Emmy Rossum: With a more modern version of lace, the actress wore a pristine white frock, styled with a pop of bold colour in a red clutch along with similar nude heels to Deepika.

Get The Look: Emmy Rossum’s Gotham Awards Makeup

Emmy RossumCelebrity makeup artist Quinn Murphy worked with Emmy Rossum for the Gotham Independent Film Awards on Monday (November 30) in New York City.

“Emmy was wearing a black and brown Simone Rocha mini dress to the Gotham Awards. I wanted to do something sexy and to bring out her beautiful eyes. I used black, chocolate brown and camel hues to give the smoky eye effect,” said Quinn.

Here’s how to get the look.

He started by using a very tiny amount of Armani Luminous Silk Foundation #4. Emmy has amazing porcelain skin, so very little is needed. He then lightly filled in her brows with M.A.C. Pencil in Lingering, focusing on the outer third of the brow.

For the eyes, he lined the top lash line with his favourite Votre Vu Pencil in black. It stays put basically forever, so it’s great for long wear at events. He increased the thickness on the outer ends of the eyes and gave them a mini cat like shape. Next he used a duo of NARS Shadows on top of the black liner to create the ‘smoky’ effect.

First, a deep chocolate brown – Bengali – and then a warm taupe called Blondie that he blended past her crease. Next, he linked the bottom lash line with a Kevyn Aucoin brown Pencil Liner. Brown on the bottom isn’t as heavy and one-dimensional as black. He finished with black mascara on top and bottom lashes.

He bypassed blush and instead used a bronzer to keep the look cool and tough. He used NARS in Casino on the edges of her face and slightly towards the apples of the cheek.

For the lip, he didn’t want to do anything too ‘makeupy’ – something resembling her natural lip tone to keep it cool and unfussy. He lined the lip with Kevyn Aucoin Medium Lip Pencil and filled in the entire lip. He topped with basicChapstick for moisture and touchups.
