Emmy Rossum In Of Mercer - Out In LA

As you know, blue is one of my favourite colours, so you can imagine I was mesmerized by Emmy Rossum’s latest street-style offering.

While running errands on Thursday (July 10), the ‘Shameless’ actress embraced the colour-blocking trend wearing a two-tone blue Of Mercer ‘Perry’ dress in a loose, breezy silhouette.

I love how the clean lines of the dress make this such a versatile piece, allowing many styling possibilities.

Emmy went partly down the matchy route, styling the look with aqua-blue Jimmy Choo ‘Talka’ pumps and drop earrings, going off-piste with an Elizabeth and James ‘Cynnie’ ivory and black-spotted calfhair mini bucket bag to add unique contrast to her dainty daytime summery look.

Emmy Rossum In CH Carolina Herrera - Out In Beverly Hills

Emmy Rossum was spotted out in Beverly Hills, California on Wednesday (July 2) to attend the first table read of Season 5 of ‘Shameless’.

There is no better way to celebrate the summer season than with a dress bursting with colour. Here, Emmy does just that.

The actress looked divine wearing a vibrant CH Carolina Herrera floral-print frock styled with red CH Carolina Herrera shades, a white tote and CH Carolina Herrera red and white strappy sandals.

The only thing missing from her colour co-ordinated look was a touch of blue to make this the perfect 4th July weekend look.

Emmy Rossum Critics Choice MakeupEmmy Rossum dazzled on the red carpet at the 4th Annual Critic’s Choice Television Awards in more ways than one.

The fuchsia Monique Lhuillier gown was paired with a rich coral lip.

Take notes, because fun hues are replacing the classics in beauty. High intensity shades can be worn on any complexion and are an easy way to update your normal routine.

Emmy’s makeup artist for the evening, Jo Baker, says that experimenting with bold tones is something that every woman should try.

Her tips make it easy for anyone to take a shot at the trend and also recreate Emmy’s look.

First, lips were prepped using Chanel Hydra Beauty Nourishing Lip Care. Generously moisturizing before applying lipstick helps the product glide on evenly while also minimizing cracked skin.

There’s nothing worse than wearing a bold color that highlights dehydrated crevices.

After massing the balm in, Givenchy Le Rouge in 201 Rose Taffetas was applied in several layers. The multiple coats maximize the pigment’s saturation.

Take a closer look and you’ll notice that the color doesn’t stop there. Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Cosmetic Colour Pencil in Pool Boy was smudged into Rossum’s lash line, creating an aquatic haze.

If you’re not quite ready to mix two extreme shades, Baker recommends pairing slightly off hues to subtly intensify saturation. For instance, try mixing red with orange. The two tones will appear soft yet striking at the same time.

Kate Spade Saturday Summer Solstice Party

A group of bright young things were on hand for the Kate Spade Saturday Summer Solstice Party, hosted on Saturday (June 21) at The Roof on Wilshire in Los Angeles, California. The sunny weekend spirit was alive and kicking, where the starlets were each dressed in the breezy, chic label, naturally.

Emmy Rossum: Gorgeous in periwinkle blue, Emmy matched her ankle-tie Jimmy Choo ‘Void’ pumps to her Kate Spade Saturday cutout flared dress, which contrasted strikingly with her darker raven curls. The brand’s envelope clutch in hyper pink contributed a fun punch of colour to her statement in blue.

Kiernan Shipka: Always the impeccable trendsetter, the young starlet took a monochromatic approach in her Kate Spade Saturday white tie-around peplum top, black high-waisted panel shorts and black tassel heels. She again provides us with a youthful, yet sophisticated look with a touch of edge.

Camilla Bell: Also looking radiant, Camilla wore Kate Spade Saturday’s feminine and flared seamed dress in the ‘Wavelength’ print, paired with the two-bar wide leather belt, along with the brand’s mini satchel and satin brass bangle. Would the black shoulder bag have been my initial first choice? Probably not. But it all worked, especially since she thankfully skipped a black shoe in favour of a more lighthearted wedge sandal.

Emmy Rossum In Monique Lhuillier - 2014 Critics' Choice Television Awards

Emmy Rossum attended the 4th Annual Critics’ Choice Television Awards held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel on Thursday (June 19) in Beverly Hills, California, where she was nominated in the Best Actress in a Comedy Series category for her role in ‘Shameless’.

The actress stunned wearing a bright magenta Monique Lhuillier Resort 2015 one-shoulder gown with a pleated skirt and sheer panel at the waist giving the look a two-piece feel.

This glamorous look was styled with dyed-to-match Stuart Weitzman ‘Nudist’ sandals and stunning pair of turquoise drop earrings.

I’m sure this colour combo takes you back to one of the most memorable Met Gala moments in history when, back in 2007, Cameron Diaz wore a fuchsia Christian Dior by John Galliano gown with turquoise earrings. Ah, the good times.
