Red Carpet Fashion Awards

Here is a round up some of the celebrity looks from Coachella Music Festival this weekend.

Katy Perry: The singer has finally ditched the blue hair, this time in favour of purple locks. How she still has a full head of hair I will never know. Her Ashish v-neck dress was embellished with a garden of sequined red roses. A Coach crossbody red bag, torn tights and black creepers completed her look. What do you think of the purple hair? I think it’s more workable than blue.

Fergie: The Black Eyed Peas singer is another star who managed to hit all the right style notes with her laidback, effortless festival chic look. Sporting neutral colours she wore a beige maxi dress with a sand fringed vest.. Ankle boots, shades and a beige shoulder bag completed her look. She managed to pick selection of complementary accessories without overwhelming her look. Note to Vanessa Hudgens.

Florence Welch: The one person who was bound to get the dress code oh so right at this event was Florence. This hippie, boho style of dressing is basically her true off-duty style. She wore a Vilshenko Spring 2012 floaty maxi dress which is part paisley print and part floral with a v-neckline. The unexpected addition to her earthy look was a Dolce & Gabbana metallic woven raffia bag.

I’m going to really surprise you all by saying that Emma Roberts was my favourite on the red carpet at the Metropolitan Opera Gala Premiere of Jules Massenet’s ‘Manon’ in New York City last night.

She opted for a black YSL strapless jumpsuit with a sweetheart neckline, which was accessorised with a metallic red flower belt and black YSL clutch.

The back wasn’t better than her front and no chokers were involved in this look, thankfully.

She looked the most relaxed and effortless, whilst still maintaining that fresh, youthful sparkle.

Black satin YSL platform pumps and a side-parted hairdo completed her look.

Emma Roberts, who is known to wear many British labels, was at Smashbox Studios in West Hollywood yesterday, for the LONDON Show ROOMS’ opening cocktail party which was held in association with the British Fashion Council.

The young actress wore a Jonathan Saunders Spring 2012 white embroidered top with an open back, with black Jonathan Saunders oversized flared pants from the Resort 2012collection.

Her simple look was teamed with a black satin clutch.

Do you like this look as it is, or would you have loved a pop of colour?

Emma Roberts didn’t attend the main event, but she joined in the fun at the Warner Bros. & InStyle Golden Globe Awards Party on Sunday night.

She wore a Zac Posen Fall 2011 gown.

Her midnight-blue gown with cut-out detailing was accessorized with a Swarovski ‘Power’ silver crystal clutch and Chopard statement diamond jewelry.

A chic updo, smoky eyes, and a nude lip colour completed her look.

As nice as Emma looks, she doesn’t fill this gown like Coco.

Emma Roberts attended W Magazine’s pre-Golden Globes party held at the Chateau Marmont in LA on Friday evening.

She dressed to the nines wearing a slinky black Temperley London Spring 2012 gown with crystal-embellished straps.

Sporting a trendy longer ‘lob’, the young actress wore minimal makeup, save for a bright red mani-pedi.

The silk gown is a mature step for the actress, and perhaps a bold red lippie would have upped the glam factor even more.

Emma Roberts repurposed her Elizabeth and James leather and boucle jacket, which we already coveted, for a daytime shopping look.

The biker vibe of the torso with the refined boucle sleeve creates an interesting clash of sophistication with an edge that is so fresh.

Emma styled the fashion-forward jacket with a grey crewneck sweater and over-sized chain-strapped purse, tortoise shell cat eye sunglasses, over the knee black boots and muted denim skinny jeans.

Recreate the essence of her lust-worthy jacket of combination materials with this Topshop lurex boucle jacket ($130) and the Miss Selfridge leather vest ($150) worn together or separate. Wear with a Madewell Sweatshirt ($49.99), MOTO Tuxedo stripe jeans from Topshop ($100), Topshop tortoise shell extreme cat-eye sunglasses ($45), ASOS Cheryl over-the-knee boots ($136.35) and
