Hair Trend Spotting Chic Bobs

Bobs have been extremely popular in Hollywood for quite a few months now, and never has that been more apparent than at Tuesday’s Stand Up For Cancer event, when everyone from host Reese Witherspoon to attendees Emma Roberts, Lily Collins and Jessica Alba arrived with their own version of the season’s hottest hairstyle.

The best part is how truly versatile this chic cut can be. To get Reese’s slightly messy-with-bangs version, use a texturizing product such as Blow Pro Beach Blow Texturizing Mist, and create subtle waves with a curling wand, such as Conair Infiniti Curling Wand Styler.

For Emma’s sleek and smooth version, blow dry with a paddle brush, and use a glossing product like John Frieda Frizz-Ease 100% Shine Glossing Mist.

And to get Lily’s smooth on top, but messy on the bottom look, combine the two techniques: Keep the top smooth, but add a texturizing product from half way down the shaft to the ends of the hair, and then after creating waves, comb through them with a wide-tooth comb to give the hair a slightly ‘undone’ look. Finish it off with a flexible hold hairspray.

Emma Roberts In Kate Spade New York - Hollywood Stands Up To Cancer

Emma Roberts joined a host of stars including Gwyneth Paltrow, Jessica Alba and Diane Kruger on the red carpet for the Hollywood Stands Up To Cancer event on Tuesday (January 28) held at The Book Bindery in Culver City, California.

The pretty actress made rose-gold the theme of her look, starting with a cashmere sweater featuring a bejewelled mock collar framing the crew neckline of this signature girly Kate Spade New York piece, which she styled with a navy A-line pleated skirt.

A Rebecca Minkoff ‘Vincent’ minaudiere and Casadei ‘Blade’ pumps tied into the theme rather nicely, with a rose-gold diamond-encrusted ear cuff adding to the sparkle and shine already present.

Beautywise, she also opted for a simple neutral look with sleek straight side-parted tresses.

ELLE's Women In Television CelebrationStarlets were spotted at every turn at ELLE’s Annual Women In Television Celebration, held on Wednesday (January 22) at Sunset Tower in West Hollywood, California. Here, a roundup of other PYTs at the event.

Emma Roberts: Debuting a sleek new, angled bob, the actress paired her bright, platinum ’do with a monochromatic Cushnie et Ochs moment, featuring the label’s signature cutouts on the black top. With the skirt’s side-flair detail, an Emm Kuo clutch and black, Christian Louboutin ‘Viveka’ crossover-strap sandals, this was a look that was both sassy and chic.

Jenna Dewan-Tatum: The actress dressed up in a blush-tinged Zac Posen Spring 2014 floral brocade party frock. The designer’s signature brand of drama was written all over the look with its impeccable structure, corset-inspired bodice and ruffles. She completed the fairytale femininity with nude Brian Atwood ‘Tamara’ ankle-wrap sandals, a sparkling Oroton ‘Debutante’ clutch, and EF Collection and Jennifer Meyer jewels. With the side updo and magenta lippie, was this just too much?

Bella Thorne: Edging up her pastel-yellow Miu Miu silk faille strapless bustier dress, the young starlet carried a Miu Miu yellow-and-white, nappa leather biker bag with pink crystal detail. She topped off the look with light pink sandals and a messy Heidi-inspired braided updo.

Emma Roberts In Lanvin - 2014 Golden Globe Awards

Emma Roberts owned the red carpet at the 2014 Golden Globe Awards in Los Angeles tonight (January 12).

The ‘American Horror Story: Coven” actress wore a custom Lanvin gown, turquoise chandelier earrings and a Kotur clutch.

The only appropriate response to this dress is, ‘Wow.” It would be all too easy for a black, unembellished dress to come across as boring but this is pure perfection with a dramatic mermaid hem and striking neckline.

Emma’s clean, swept back hair, smoky eye and dramatic earrings are the perfect complement.

This young actress has truly come into her own and we’re expecting big things on red carpets to come.

Emma Roberts In Lanvin – 2013 American Music Awards

Emma Roberts also attended the 2013 American Music Awards on the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles on Sunday.

The actress marched to the beat of her own drum in a shimmering Lanvin sack gown that seems to be a hybrid between a boho look and something more glam.

I can predict that this gown will be polarizing for you guys, but I absolutely love that Emma took a risk with her look, and can truly see this as a trend-setting moment.

Pairing a fuchsia Rodo clutch and matching fuchsia Casadei pumps was a stroke of genius, and I love that her chandelier earrings also have a pop of the accent color.

An easy, deep-parted hairstyle, kohl-rimmed eyes and a nude lip completed her easy-glam look.

Ok, here we go: Do you love Emma’s risk, or do you think she’s wearing a shimmery trash bag?

Emma Roberts In Three Floor - The Tonight Show with Jay Leno

Emma Roberts made a guest appearance on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno, to promote the third season of ‘American Horror Story’.

She shared that even though she’s not frightened during filming, when she watches it back, she finds herself hiding under the covers.

Working two of summers hottest trends – crop top and black-and-white – in one sassy outfit, the actress wore a black Paper London sleeveless top with a Three Floor ‘Rebel’ faux leather high-waisted skirt featuring bold monochrome stripes and a kick flare pelmet, with clever panelling and artfully positioned figure-flatter stripes.

J’Adore the pastel lemon-hued Jimmy Choo ‘Mill’ pumps.

This is a very welcome surprise from Emma, whose footwear choices often leave a lot to be desired.
