Who Wore Christian Dior Better? Emma Roberts, Leigh Lezark or Tinsley Mortimer

Actress Emma Roberts was surprisingly the first to wear this strapless floaty Christian Dior Spring 2009 dress in lemon, when she arrived at the 2009 Vanity Fair Oscar Party.

The young actress wore her dress with black pumps, whilst carrying a Lady Dior ‘Cannage’ bag.

Leigh Lezark – for some reason I will never understand – wore her fuchsia dress at the Christian Dior Fall 2009 show, during Paris Fashion Week with tights.

Carrying her own self designed clutch, Socialite Tinsley Mortimer walked the red carpet at the 2009 American Museum of Natural History’s Museum dance in New York, wearing the same fuchsia colour a Leigh.

I adore the fuchsia pink. Tinsley really glows in this dress, plus I like the pop of yellow, so she wins for me.

Who Wore D&G Better? Nicola Roberts or Emma Roberts

This is the battle of the Roberts’.

Nicola vs. Emma.

Girls Aloud singer Nicole Roberts arrived at Gilgamesh in Camden, London for a fun night out with her band mates last year.

She didn’t accessorize her blood red lace strapless D&G dress, she just wore it with black pumps.

Actress Emma Roberts wore the same dress when she attended the 2009 Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards in Westwood, California during March.

She wore booties, and a black armlet, which are now very popular on the red carpet.

Nicole wins this for me, as I really dislike Emma’s booties. Had they been peep-toes, I might have given this to her.

Topshop/Topman VIP Preview Launch Event

Michelle Monaghan follows the bold shoulder trend with her dove grey suede jacket, which along with her statement necklace, is the main focus of her look.

Black skinny jeans, a sheer ivory blouse and black cut-out booties, complete the look.

I’m loving her wavy ‘do.

Wearing a black blouse and jeans, Emma Roberts added a dash of colour with her ivory Topshop lace beaded jacket, and matching ivory Topshop platform pumps.

She completed the look with 3 gold necklaces, including a cute nameplate necklace.

Adding a huge dose of high fashion to this event, designer Georgina Chapman arrived wearing a pink strapless Marchessa Spring 2009 dress, under a glittering black sequined jacket from her Fall 2008 collection.

A gorgeous smile, and cute satin pumps complete the look.

Every time I see Taylor Momsen she makes me chuckle. Her look is always so forced, as she continues to morph into her Gossip Girl character.

Her look included a cropped biker jacket, fishnet tights, a bubblegum pink pleated skirt -which matches her lipstick- and a statement cuff.

Model Arlenis Sosa has been one of the many faces for Topshop, when she starred in a campaign for them recently.

The gorgeous fresh faced model wore a graphic print mini dress, with her favourite black tuxedo jacket.

Emily Mortimer wears a hot pink blazer over her racy lace mini dress.

Michelle Trachtenberg’s sequined dress, is worn with a leather jacket, ankle booties and a Chanel purse.

2009 Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards

Here is the Best and the Worst from the orange carpet, at the 2009 Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards.

Despite Ashley Tisdale giving us a re-run in this navy strapless Akiko Ogawa Fall 2008 embellished dress – previously worn by Hayden Panettiere – I still think she was the Best Dressed at this event.

I love everything about this look. She really made an effort, and I love how she keeps her look young, by wearing booties and not the expect Louboutin’s peep-toes.

Victoria Justice is a cute as ever, wearing a Alice + Olivia Cotton sateen rolled sleeve blazer, over her purple satin dress. She gives her look a slight edge by wearing a Streets Ahead studded belt.

Victoria completes her look with a pair of Modern Vintage Evanise ankle booties, and a large silver clutch.

Demi Lovato wore a gold bustier Ina Soltani dress, with black YSL Tribute sandals.

I love how this dress shimmers.

Miranda Cosgrove understands how to dress for this occasion, wearing a cute black 3/4 length sleeved Sonia Rykiel dress, with white hearts embellished with diamante’s.

I love the cute hair accessory.

She always has fun on the red carpet, dresses her age, and doesn’t take herself too seriously. Love her spirit.

Miley Cyrus’ Sheri Bodell gown is gorgeous, with its tiers and delicate ruffles, but it feels slightly grown up for an occasion which slimes its guests.

This is the Kids Choice Awards, Miley should have had fun wearing something young and hip.

Actress Keke Palmer matches her eyeshadow and nail polish to her eggplant Elise Øverland leather mini dress.

Love the earrings.

Brenda Song is so cute, I just want to keep her in my pocket.

The tiny cutie wore a gorgeous yellow satin dress, with intricate embroidered and studded embellishments fanning over the top half of her dress.

I love the silver belt, which compliments her dress perfectly.

Nice booties, shame about Emma Roberts’ lace blood red strapless dress. Eek.

Cameron Diaz is a regular at the Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards.

She kept her look casual, yet still chic, wearing a navy and red polka dotted Micheal Kors sleeveless top, with distressed ripped 7 For All Mankind jeans.

They say supermodels can wear anything and still look good, but for Amber Valetta this gorgeous Preen Fall 2009 geometric print tunic comes off looking very maternity.

America Ferrera looked quite chic, wearing a ruched red J.Mendel dress, with batwing sleeves.

This dress was incredibly flattering on her.

Not quite sure what happened to Megan Fox here. I appreciate she dialed down the sexy for a kids awards show, but that shouldn’t be an excuse to dress like this.

Tori Spelling looks looks surprisingly good in her maxi floral dress. This is indeed a rarity.

Glamour’s American Icons

Glamour US magazine is celebrating over 70 years of female American Icons, with a host of celebrities including Camilla Belle, Rumer Willis, America Ferrera, Chanel Iman, Hayden Panettiere and Alicia Keys.

Each one takes on a risk taker, rule breaker or a style maker.

Emma Roberts had the honour of representing Audrey Hepburn. In Emma’s shoot she wore a gorgeous voluminous Giambattista Valli Spring 2009 dress/coat.

The look is minus the ivory bows from the runway, which I think works better.

Emma said of Audrey, “She was so simply beautiful. And she loved charity work, something even more beautiful about her.”

Spencer Grammer and Rumer Willis were representing The Women of Woodstock. They both wore pieces from the Roberto Cavalli Spring 2009 collection, which had many hippy inspired pieces, so worked with the Woodstock theme.

“It’s an era that was so important because it was very much about natural beauty.” said Rumer Willis.

To see many other celebrities representing American Icons go to Glamour Magazine.
