Emma Roberts In Brandon Maxwell & Thai Nguyen Atelier – ‘Who We Are Now’ Toronto Film Festival Premiere & HFPA & InStyle TIFF Party

Emma Roberts is another one lighting up the 2017 Toronto Film Festival, where she attended the ‘Who We Are Now’ premiere on Saturday (September 9) and the HFPA & InStyle TIFF Party later that day.

‘Who We Are Now’ Premiere: Proving that white still works in the fall, Emma opted for a Brandon Maxwell Fall 2017 dress. She added interest to the minimalist frock with embellished Chloe Gosselin ‘Helix’ pumps and a mini Stalvey Beauty case. The black ankle-strap shoes coupled with the white dress created a modish vibe, but the case feels slightly disjointed, especially when it covers the frock’s hem.

HFPA & InStyle TIFF Party: Emma continued to let her long pins remain the focus, donning a Thai Nguyen Atelier Resort 2018 dress. Given the amount of fine detail in the frock, she pared back her accessories. Simple black ankle-strap heels completed the ensemble along with tousled hair and a flick of eyeliner. The dress’s fit is fantastic, but I would have preferred a straight hem as the cutouts distract from the mesmerizing work in the bodice.

Refinery29’s 29Rooms Event

Refinery29 hosted an interactive funhouse of style, culture, and technology in New York City on Thursday (September 7), where a number of PYTs came out to play at this 3rd annual 29Rooms event.

Larsen Thompson: I absolutely love how Larsen used her look to echo the whimsy of the event. Her Arianne Elmy blouse with ruffled statement sleeves was perfectly balanced to the edgier, sleek shine of the Philosophy di Lorenzo Serafini Fall 2017 trousers—all topped off with Alchimia Di Ballin ‘Kari’ boots for a retro-forward finish.

Shay Mitchell: Shay let the bold print of this Fausto Puglisi Resort 2018 oversized jacket do the talking. There was something about the fit that threw me off, though, as it appeared slightly haphazard. The chain necklaces also remained unnecessary.

Emma Roberts In Alice McCall – Domino X American Express Platinum Party

Sometimes less is more, and Emma Roberts provided proof at the Domino X American Express Platinum party on Friday (August 4) in Bridgehampton, New York.

There really wasn’t much to her Alice McCall Resort 2018 mini, but that’s what made it so successfully chic.

I love its playful, girly side with the ruffle sleeve and hem paired with the sleek, short silhouette and front zipper that toughened it up just so.

Just as important to the success of the look was the minimal approach to its styling, with Jennifer Meyer jewels, streamlined Stuart Weitzman ‘Nudist’ sandals, and a flirty, pink lip the perfect, less-is-more accompaniments.

It was adorable in all the right ways—and I adored it. What about you?

Emma Roberts In Diane von Furstenberg – 2017 Met Gala

Emma Roberts turned the blue carpet red at the 2017 Met Gala on Monday (May 1).

The actress wore a red Diane von Furstenberg gown with an accompanying pink DVF stole, red and pink handbag and Monique Péan jewels.

Let’s start with the good, shall we? The classic silhouette and color and impeccable fit of the gown are stunning. I’m delicate lace accents at the straps and hemline are also simply superb. However, I’m afraid the pink stole and the pearl handled bag are just too much together and officially make Emma look like a Barbie. You can’t unsee it now, can you?

I’ve always loved what a hair color chameleon Emma is, and brunette may be my favorite color for her. I also love the choice of the mauve matte lipstick with a red gown.

I can’t wait to hear though–is it just me, or does she look like Met Gala Barbie?

Emma Roberts In Philosophy di Lorenzo Serafini – ‘Dabka’ Tribeca Film Festival Premiere

Emma Roberts was also seen making the rounds at the 2017 Tribeca Film Festival, attending the ‘Dabka’ premiere on Thursday (April 27) in New York City.

As with her previous look, she kept with the sheer theme. However, I believe this Philosophy di Lorenzo Serafini Fall 2017 party frock will be far better received.

Rhinestone-embellished, the baby-doll dress could be taken as a bit sweet. However, I would argue that its black hue kept it from too much of a sugar rush.

A light dusting of Dana Rebecca Designs jewels along with a sophisticated, red lip helped, too.

Did this look put Emma back in good style graces for you?

Emma Roberts In Coach 1941 – 39th Annual AAFA American Image Awards

Emma Roberts hit the red carpet on Monday night (April 24) at the 39th Annual American Image Awards in New York City.

Coachella may be over, but it seems like the ‘Scream Queens’ star is sticking to her festival style staples. Here, she wears a sheer floral ruffled dress by Coach, and Malone Souliers ‘Savannah’ pumps.

Of course, the floral prints are gorgeous, and the Coach bag from the Fall 2017 collection is a favorite, but I can’t get behind the sheer factor.  Perhaps it’s  “naked dress” fatigue.

Coachella Fashion 2017

The first weekend of Coachella 2017, held April 14 to 16, in Indio, California brought with it a bevy of beauties clad in their free-spirited desert best for the music and arts festival.

Chanel Iman: While sometimes the fringe, highlighter hair, and other trends of Coachella can be tiresome, the model was everything you’d want festival fashion to be. Perhaps that is because her Rachel Zoe Collection look hailed from the designer queen of boho-chic herself. The ‘Kayla’ fringe coat was beautifully embroidered, but it all came together with the leather belt, MCM crossbody bag, and Chanel’s whimsical pastel braids.

Alessandra Ambrosio: Both playful and sexy, this paisley romper packed in plenty of personality thanks to the supermodel’s styling including a wide-brim hat, retro shades, and Giuseppe Zanotti black boots.

Kate Bosworth: The actress was also in a Rachel Zoe Collection ensemble, hers heavy on the casual-chic factor with its off-the-shoulder blouse and wide trousers with racing stripes down the sides. An MCM crossbody bag crisply finished the look, with a pair of embellished Roger Vivier sandals contributing to the laid-back mood.
