Emily Mortimer In Oscar de la Renta - 2013 White House Correspondents’ Association Dinner

Emily Mortimer joined a host of stars including fellow British actress Michelle Dockery at the Washington Hilton, where the 2013 White House Correspondents’ Association Dinner was held in Washington, DC. on Saturday evening.

She stunned wearing a bright-red Oscar de la Renta silk-chiffon gown.

Her romantic pleated frock was accented with a tonal satin waistband to nip in her tiny waist, with sparkling gold accessories including a Judith Leiber clutch, Kwiat jewels and Christian Louboutin heels.

Aside from Hayden Panettiere this was a very well dressed event.

Mulberry LA Party

Mulberry hosted a dinner party at the Chateau Marmont to celebrate their Fall 2013 collection, bringing a touch of the rural English countryside to sunny LA.

Ashley Madekwe: The actress showcased her impeccable flare for fashion, wearing a black-and-white on-trend look, styling a Mulberry short-sleeved peplum blouse with animal-print pants. During the party, she toted around a Mulberry ‘Suffolk’ bag from the Fall 2013 collection. Still not on board with those bangs.

Marisa Tomei: As always, the actress made a big fashion statement, wearing a Mulberry Fall 2013 shiny oxblood look featuring oversized bell sleeves. The length of the pants is perfect, as is that stunning pendant necklace.

Emily Mortimer: The British actress gave us a chic office look, pairing an emerald-green silk blouse with a black pencil skirt à la Miss Moneypenny. Black pumps and a Mulberry ‘Willow’ clutch from the Fall 2013 collection completed her look.

Emily Mortimer opted for a soft, ethereal look on the red carpet at the ‘Hugo’ LA premiere on Monday night.

The British actress wore a heavenly blush Valentino Spring 2012 gown with lemon and black embroidered details.

Whilst the gown is beautiful, there is something missing.

It bugged me for a while, but I think she needed to add a belt to define her waist, or a contrasting-coloured clutch to breathe some life into the look.

The nude pumps don’t help prevent it from feeling a tad one note.

Smoky eyes and wavy locks completed the look.

Gorgeous or washed out?

Emily Mortimer first wore this Chanel dress from the Paris-Monte Carlo Pre-Fall 2007 collection to the “Costume Institute Benefit Gala” in New York way back in May 2007.

I think Emily looks really cute here and I like that she’s gone for a similar coloured shoe.

The gold of her belt was a nice bit of styling, as it really pops against the blue of her dress.

Leigh Lezark then wore this dress to Chanel’s “Fete D’Hiver Fall Gala” in November 2009.

I adore this dress on Leigh as I think she looks so elegant in this royal blue, yet it still reflects her edgier side.

I can’t understand why she chose to wear black pumps though. It seems like such an unthoughtful end to such a great outfit.

As Emily styled it better she wins for me.

British actress Emily Mortimer was a guest at one of the many Topshop/Topman launch dinner parties, held around the time of the New York store opening back in March.

She wore a black Topshop gold and lace detailed dress, with tights, black heels and a lipstick pink boyfriend blazer.

Lily Collins wore the same dress to “The Serpentine Gallery’s Summer Party” last month in London, with Topshop black and gold sandals and a black clutch.

The blazer was a welcome pop of colour to her all black ensemble, so Emily wins for me.

This dress is available to purchase from Topshop for £65/$135.

Michelle Monaghan follows the bold shoulder trend with her dove grey suede jacket, which along with her statement necklace, is the main focus of her look.

Black skinny jeans, a sheer ivory blouse and black cut-out booties, complete the look.

I’m loving her wavy ‘do.

Wearing a black blouse and jeans, Emma Roberts added a dash of colour with her ivory Topshop lace beaded jacket, and matching ivory Topshop platform pumps.

She completed the look with 3 gold necklaces, including a cute nameplate necklace.

Adding a huge dose of high fashion to this event, designer Georgina Chapman arrived wearing a pink strapless Marchessa Spring 2009 dress, under a glittering black sequined jacket from her Fall 2008 collection.

A gorgeous smile, and cute satin pumps complete the look.

Every time I see Taylor Momsen she makes me chuckle. Her look is always so forced, as she continues to morph into her Gossip Girl character.

Her look included a cropped biker jacket, fishnet tights, a bubblegum pink pleated skirt -which matches her lipstick- and a statement cuff.

Model Arlenis Sosa has been one of the many faces for Topshop, when she starred in a campaign for them recently.

The gorgeous fresh faced model wore a graphic print mini dress, with her favourite black tuxedo jacket.

Emily Mortimer wears a hot pink blazer over her racy lace mini dress.

Michelle Trachtenberg’s sequined dress, is worn with a leather jacket, ankle booties and a Chanel purse.
