Frida Giannini, the Creative Director at Gucci, had this dinner party thrown in her honour by Vogue UK.

She was impeccably dressed in her own Fall 2009 collection, which included a stunning gun metal grey chain-mail tunic, and thigh high black leather boots, which as must as we’ll try, we won’t escape this Fall.

Emilia Fox was one of my favourites at this event, as she just oozes grace, and she has that classic glamour about her, that makes her one to watch on the red carpet.

Looking every inch the English rose, she arrived in a satin teal gown, which was exquisite on her.

Erin O’Connor is so beautiful and statuesque. Everything she wears looks instantly regal, even this stunning multi-coloured blue and green chiffon Gucci Spring 2009 gown.

This may have been a dinner to toast Frida, but Jasmine Guinness wore a Louis Vuitton Spring 2009 gold jacket, over her sexy black gown.

I love the jacket, as it added an edge to her look, without making her look ridiculous.

VV Brown opted out of the floor-length gowns. Instead singer wore a mini T-shirt Ashish Fall 2009 dress, which was covered in sequined multi-coloured geometric prints.

Her look was completed with her trademark quiff, gladiator heels, and a pair of geeky Urkel specs.

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley gives an ethereal glow wearing a silvery grey asymmetrical Grecian Gucci gown.

Lisa B was dressed in a knock-out deep red satin Gucci gown. The draping flattered Lisa’s figure, and the only accessory this beauty needed was a clutch.

Peaches Geldof tries to look grown up in her berry Gucci gown, but I’m sorry her tattoos really ruin this look for me. Plus she is strangely hunched over, in what I believe is her signature pose.

I will give her a 5 out 10 for her effort.

It doesn’t matter what her sister Pixie Geldof wears, she will always looks like she just got out of bed after a heavy night on the sauce.

Just when you think Claudia Schiffer couldn’t get more boring on the red carpet.

Sporting white pumps, Alesha Dixon wore a navy D&G Dolce & Gabbana sequin blazer, over a matching sequin mini D&G Spring 2009 anchor dress, which had a ribbon tie.

Alesha should have worn one or the other, because together this look becomes garish.

Jamelia becomes the 4th celebrity to wear the Jimmy Choo Corsica strappy sandals on the red carpet.

The singer wore a black satin Dolce & Gabbana dress, with her Choo’s, completing her look by matching her green earrings to her sexy sandals.

Classical girl group eScala, channeled their inner Girls Aloud by wearing colour co-ordinated looks on the red carpet.

From the left Chantal Leverton wore a navy and white Diane von Furstenberg scarf dress, which had a dash of yellow.

Tasya Hodges also wore a Diane von Furstenberg dress. Hers was white with a black geometric print, which she wore with black peep-toes.

Victoria Lyon wore a white tulip dress, with a navy waist band, whilst Izzy Johnston wore a navy and white printed dress, similar to Chantal’s.

Jenni Falconer really needs a new ‘do. Her style has not changed since 1994.

The GMTV presenter, wore a mint green dress, with silver pumps.

The delightful dress had a bubble hem, and a embroidered panel on the bodice.

Emilia Fox mixes a cute floral M Missoni Spring 2009 dress, with an eggplant leather motorcycle jacket.

Model of the Year winner, Jourdan Dunn strikes a pose wearing a gorgeous Stella McCartney white strapless mini dress, with embroidered detail on the bodice. She wore her dress with thick black tights and studded heels.

The model beat Agyness Deyn and Lily Donaldson to this deserved title.

Alexa Chung teamed her boho Future Classics Spring 2009 babydoll with ankle boots, a skinny scarf and a Mulberry for Giles black patent clutch.

Alexa looks fab in this “I just threw it on” look.

Erin O’Connor, as you would expect, is beautifully dramatic wearing a black Vivienne Westwood taffeta gown, with at snake-skin tuxedo jacket from Topshop.

She completed her look with a black hat.

Oh how very British.

Pixie Geldof wore a grey woolly mammoth Mulberry Fall 2008 jacket over her black tuxedo jacket, chain-mail top and black leggings.

I really like this look, as it is very much her own, and she is not trying to be anyone else.

Rosamund Pike’s velvet blue cropped jacket really brings life to her navy Roksanda Ilincic dress with a rosette detail.

Sophie Ellis-Bextor teams her Chanel purse with a black Topshop dress, white tights and Mary Janes.

The singer is doing so well to conceal her baby bump.

Twiggy arrived on the red carpet with her daughter Laura.

The model icon wore a Stella McCartney Pre-Fall 2008 sequined dress, with purple tights and a black tuxedo jacket.

We have seen Twiggy wear this dress many times before, but when she looks this great in it, who cares?

Yasmin Le Bon drapes a – hopefully faux fur – jacket over her shoulder, so we can see her burnt orange Halston Fall 2008 halter gown.

Emilia Fox as always is chic perfection, wearing a black dress with a black overlay and lace details on the hem.

I am not diggin’ Tamara Mellon’s bangs, but I do love her sequined coat, which she wears over her LBD. Her accessories are of course Jimmy Choo.

Is there a man fashion designer L’Wren Scott does not tower over? At 6ft 4in, and more in heels. I guess not.

The chic designer of course wore her own designs, opting for a body-contouring Fall 2008 metallic and lace dress, with a feathered hat to match.

Designer of the Year Luella Bartley, wore a purple cropped blazer and an asymmetric skirt with lace details from her own Spring 2009 collection.

TV presenter Mariella Frostrup wore this beautiful dark purple L’Wren Scott Fall 2008 shift dress with a embellished necklace.

She complimented her dress with gold peep-toes.

Claudia Schiffer wore a Forest green RM by Roland Mouret Anvers dress, with black pumps.

If it weren’t for the hat, I would not have recognised Roisin Murphy, who is posing here with Accessory Designer of the Year winner Rupert Sanderson.

That is because the singer usually wears something so cutting edge and loud, you can’t help but admire her.

This for Roisin is safe, and tame.

Model Jade Parfitt wears one of my favourite dresses from the Giles Fall 2008 collection. The dress was presented in black, but I much prefer this red version.

I just wish she had worn different shoes though.

Katie Grand, former editor of the hugely influential Pop magazine arrived with Giles Deacon wearing his Giles Spring 2009 space age silver front zipped pants, with a black top and a boa, which was also presented with most of the pieces from Giles Spring 2009 collection.

She is carrying the Prada sequin ombre clutch that is currently top of my wish list.

Luella Bartley

Red Carpet Designer: Matthew Williamson

British Academy Television Awards 2008, London

This pink Martin Grant Spring 2008 strapless gown with an oversized bow was stunning on the runway.

On TV presenter Tess Daly it does not seem to be working for me, and normally Tess can carry anything off. Maybe it is because she is blending too much into the red carpet.

Actress Emilia Fox opted for a mustard jewel detailed Alberta Ferreti dress, which was perfect for her colouring.

Her earrings are divine.

Actress/model/TV presenter/whatever Kelly Brook, gave us old-fashioned Hollywood glamour wearing a floor-length, midnight blue satin Suzie Turner gown acessorised with a Dior fur stole and diamond drop earings.

Welsh singer Katherine Jenkins, gave herself a boost in this ultramarine Vivienne Westwood dress.

British athlete Denise Lewis, swapped the sweats for this chiffon halter-neck dress with flower detail.

Normally I would say that this dramatic Lauren B princess gown is just too much for Melinda Messenger. But as this is the British TV Awards, and this is one of few nights for the TV presenter to shine.

I am very curious as to why actress Patsy Palmer’s Vivienne Westwood dress has outward pockets.

News presenter Kirsty Young glamed up in a sexy figure hugging L’Wren Scott dress.

Comic Con Party For “The Spirit”, New York

Eva Mendes is back to her best in this animal print chiffon dress.

Speed Racer Cast at the 2008 Toyota Pro/Celebrity Race, LA

Christina Ricci makes the pits sexy in this high waisted pencil skirt and grey tank top.

“Flashbacks Of A Fool” Premiere, London

Daniel Craig looked very dapper at his premiere which he was accompanied by his girlfriend Satsuki Mitchell.

She was wearing a beautiful structured Alexander McQueen strapless floral dress.

I admire Lily Allen for matching her glasses, blue checked dress with her Chanel shoes, but this is not a great look.

On the plus side, her blonde hair is growing on me.

Sam Taylor Wood is wearing a stunning multi-coloured Alexander McQueen Spring 2008 strapless dress, with feathered detail on the bustline.

Sam should have worn a belt with this dress, as it appeared on the runway, in order to give it more shape. On her the dress is very blah.

Christian Lacroix Boutique Opening, New York

The only thing that is standing out here are Michelle Trachtenberg’s electric bluedrop earrings.

I am not sure if it is the light, but Michelle looks extremely pale here.

With her gorgeous fuschia pumps, Sarah Jessica Parker is wearing jeans from her own Bitten line, with a Martin Margiela top and blazer.
