Emilia Clarke In Michael Kors & Elie Saab – The BAFTA Los Angeles Tea Party & HAITI RISING Gala

Following the AFI Awards, Emilia Clarke was back on the red carpet with two more looks on Saturday (January 6).

The BAFTA Los Angeles Tea Party: The English actress was every bit the English rose wearing this floral fitted sheath dress from Michael Kors Collection. I do like Emilia’s style, but I can’t say I have ever loved a look, but this I love. Not only does it feel so right and proper for the occasion, but I love the mix of colours, the retro 50s vibe and the dainty styling which included a Roger Vivier ‘Viv Cabas’ top-handle bag and Irene Neuwirth jewels. She nailed this look from head to toe.

7th Annual Sean Penn & Friends HAITI RISING Gala Benefiting: When we think of Elie Saab; embellished gowns spring to mind, but this Spring 2018 button down blouse and floor-sweeping skirt goes against the grain. I adore the simplicity, charm and effortless of it all. My first thought was that she’s channeling her inner Uma Thurman/Sharon Stone here, as I can picture both of them wearing this look also.

Emilia Clarke In J.W.Anderson – 2018 AFI Awards

Emilia Clarke joined Saoirse Ronan and Allison Williams at the 2018 AFI Awards on Friday (January 5) in LA.

This J.W. Anderson frock may have been from the Spring 2018 collection, but its deep forest-green hue felt right on cue for the current season.

I love how the dress is classically sophisticated while presenting a modern vision of femininity in its mixed knit fabrication.

The Christian Louboutin ‘Naseeba’ rainbow sandals were the colouful icing on the cake, adding that extra little flourish to the look.

I’m sure many will be relieved to see that her gothic lip and red eye makeup from the day before were gone, with a fresh-faced approach in its place that really celebrated the star’s natural beauty.

What a difference a day makes.

Emilia Clarke In Altuzarra – W Magazine Celebrates Its ‘Best Performances’ Portfolio

Emilia Clarke joined Tracee Ellis Ross, Elizabeth Olsen, Pom Klementieff, Michelle Monaghan and Gal Gadot for W Magazine’s Celebration of its ‘Best Performances’ Portfolio on Thursday (January 4) in LA.

We’re yet to see a sheer dress on the red carpet this year, so I’m sure you’ll be happy that Emilia opted for a lined version of her Altuzarra Pre-Fall 2018 dress.

There’s something deeply Parisian about this dress which instantly captivated me. I love how the frilled trims adds to the romanticism of this piece, proving that alluring doesn’t have to be see-through.

I will happily commend the styling of this look, but I’m not a huge fan of Emilia’s platinum blonde, dark lip, red eye combo.

Celebrities at the Wimbledon Championships

The Wimbledon Championships saw another round of pretties out to watch the finale action on Sunday (July 16) in London.

Rosamund Pike: I can totally see this Erdem floral-printed frock in a shorter version. As presented with the ruffle sleeves, flared long skirt, and embellished lavender shoes, the look presented as rather heavy and overwrought.

Emilia Clarke: There was much that was darling about this Dolce & Gabbana floral dress and accent bow, but there also much that was very fall about it. When styled with Mary Janes, it felt especially better suited for the forthcoming season. The sleeves also seemed a bit long.

Vanessa Kirby: I loved Vanessa’s Tory Burch dress for its inherent fresh, summery vibe, but also because the sweater top and box-pleat skirt had a chic tennis-uniform-inspired spirit. I do wish she had opted for another colour of sandal—I would have taken a complementary red, navy, or ivory over the nude pair.

Christian Dior Spring 2016 Front Row

Christian Dior Spring 2016 Front Row

The Christian Dior Spring 2016 front row featured no shortage of Dior darlings who were taking in the looks that were presented during Paris Fashion Week on Friday (October 3) in Paris, France.

Elizabeth Olsen: Chic for days, the ‘Avengers: Age of Ultron’ actress was the very representation of androgynous allure in a Dior Haute Couture black cashmere jacket with black wool pants paired with a Dior clutch and Dior heels. Although the sleeves could be deemed a bit on the long side, the oversized shawl collar and the monochromatic power of this minimalist moment—not to mention the breezily undone look of her blonde locks—won me over.

Emilia Clarke
: Also balancing the masculine-feminine line, the ‘Game of Thrones’ stunned in a Dior black silk and wool cadi dress that had the makings of a tailored blazer. What could have been a rather nondescript dress Emila took to the next level with the welcome punch of Dior navy and pink heels and that just-bitten, berry-stained lip.

Leelee Sobieski: Straying away from the black trend, Leelee channeled the lighter side in a Dior Haute Couture hand-painted, pastel cotton dress with a Dior Haute Couture necklace and shoes. Ironically, the effect was still rather heavy given the strict, monastic-like silhouette. Yet, she wore it with a sense of drama that certainly brought its own measure of captivating intrigue.
