Supermodels On The Set Of “Gossip Girl” & “The Beautiful Life”

The cast of “Gossip Girl” is already incredibly glamorous, but recently supermodel Tyra Banks was on set with Hilary Duff filming scenes for the hit show at the Ziegfeld Theatre in New York.

Tyra sported retro waves and large chandelier earrings whilst wearing a Marchesa Fall 2007 black gown with a beaded bodice.

Both Molly Sims and Ashanti have worn this gown on the red carpet.

Along with Valentino bags, Marchesa dresses seem to be favoured on the show as Hilary is wearing one from the Spring 2009 collection, and Leighton Meester wore a Spring 2008 ball-gown as Blair Waldorf to the Prom.

The second supermodel on set this week was Elle MacPherson.

She was shooting scenes on Mischa Barton’s new TV show “The Beautiful Life” in New York.

Sporting larger than life hair and black shades, Elle channeled her inner VB wearing Victoria Beckham’s ‘Carmontelle’ Fall 2009 dress with metallic heels.

This dress is the same dress Victoria wore on her ad shoot, and Leighton Meester wore on the set of Gossip Girl recently.

I feel a who wore it better on set? post coming up.

CBS, CW And Showtime All-Star Party

My second “Oh No She Didn’t” of the week goes to Jenna Elfman who channeled her inner Charlize Theron, wearing the same gold metallic Lanvin Pre-Fall 2009 dress which Charlize wore to the “The Burning Plain” Paris Premiere back in March.

I like the dress but I don’t feel Jenna did it any justice mostly because she opted out of the black belt which gives the dress more shape.

Jenna’s dress just hangs around her middle like a sack.

Jessica Stroup is probably the only young actress who always seems to get it so right on the red carpet. She’s never faltered.

I adore her cute ensemble which includes a Stella McCartney sleeveless top, Catherine Malandrino black shorts and Stella McCartney gold trim platform pumps.

I’m loving the new bob.  It really suits her.

Annalynne McCord makes it a 3peat for this Alice + Olivia black and white strapless dress.

Amber Tamblyn and Khloe Kardashian have worn this dress already.

This dress is a huge step away from the slinky body-con dresses we are used to seeing Annalynne wear.  I’m not really feeling this look at all on her.

Sophia Bush’s floral dress gives me a warm fuzzy feeling of Autumn day when the leaves are falling off the trees, whilst the sun is shining on a beautiful day.

The whole look has a 40s vibe to it with the hair, the bold red lips and the dress.  Dita would love it.

I do like Shenae Grimes’ pink Camilla & Marc bustier dress, but it’s quite ironic that she fails to fill the dress.

As a result the dress doesn’t really flatter her which is disappointing as the colour is divine on her.

Jennifer Love Hewitt opt for an ice white strapless dress with a tie on the hip, but I’m more drawn to her stunning nude peep-toes with a cute bow detail.

Ashlee Simpson continues to channel her inner rock chick wearing this grey tweed dress with a lot of added leather and chiffon detail which mixes sweet with sassy.

Her look is paired with a black clutch and Balenciaga heels.

Elle Macpherson never met a Herve Leger dress she didn’t like.

This is two events in a row she has opted for a bandage dress.

Who Wore Herve Leger Better? Heather Graham or Elle MacPherson

Heather Graham hosted “Vegas Magazine’s Sixth Anniversary” celebrations in Las Vegas back in May.

She looked drop-dead gorgeous wearing a one-shouldered Herve Leger Camille beaded dress from the Spring 2009 collection with her favorite Jimmy Choo gold Flynn sandals and a matching bag.

Elle Macpherson showed that their is still plenty of life left in her supermodel status, by wearing the same super-short dress with blush pink Christian Louboutin peep-toe platforms at the launch of the new Jaguar XJ at the Saatchi Gallery in London earlier this month.

As much as Elle ‘The Body’ Macpherson looks good in her dress, I much prefer Heather’s hair and Choo’s, so she wins this for me.

Social Events Of The Week

Malaria No More Charity Party, LA

Dazzling Demi Moore wore a white crochet Andrew GN Spring 2009 summer dress, which she accessorized with the runway cuff and silver strappy heels.

The actress kept her hair slicked back in a bun, and the only other accessory she need was her sexy hubby.

“Live with Regis and Kelly”, New York

Emma Watson was spotted exiting the “Live with Regis and Kelly” studio earlier this week wearing a Jason Wu Resort 2010 ensemble.

The ensemble included a jersey chiffon-edged tank and a nude twist-pleat pencil skirt.

Her look was complete with two-tone ‘Bruno Frisoni for Jason Wu’ grey heels.

The shoes are from the first collaboration between the two designers, and were shown during Jason Wu’s Resort 2010 presentation.

I love that cute black headband which completes her look.

Out & About, New York

Hayden Panettiere causes a stir outside her hotel in New York as she made her way to “Live with Regis and Kelly”, wearing a stunning pale blue Zac Posen dress which had an intricate pearl and gem embellished waistband.

She paired her gorgeous dress with tumbling waves and Christian Louboutin heels.

Jaguar XJ Launch Party, London

Elle Macpherson is known as ‘The Body’ which she shows off wearing a super-short, sequined one-shoulder Herve Leger Camille beaded dress with blush pink Christian Louboutin peep-toe platforms.

“500 Days Of Summer” New York Screening

Hilary Rhoda also wore a look from the Jason Wu Resort 2010 collection.

Her look consisted of a grey tee, with a solid colour coral draped skirt with a black belt.

The model is glowing. I wonder if she just got back from vacation.

Leighton Meester works this colourful red and purple houndstooth Emilio de la Morena shift dress.

As her dress grabs all the attention, Leighton wisely keeps accessories to a minimum and make-up neutral.

Her look is complete with Alexandre Birman python peep-toe booties.

It’s a nice dress but for some reason I just don’t like it on Leighton.

“I Love You Beth Cooper” New York Screening

Here is another fab look for Hayden Panettiere. This time she wore an ivory Andy & Deb dress which she accessorized with a Nancy Gonzalez clutch, Giuseppe Zanotti Design pewter pumps plus Slane & Slane small bee omega earrings and ring.

It’s been a hectic week for Hayden but she’s never looked flustered, just very well dressed without putting a foot wrong.

Three-O Vodka Bubble Launch Event, New York

Khloe Kardashian totally ruins this black and white Alice + Olivia fan dress.

The dress comes with a belt which holds all the detail together without it, the dress is sadly a hot mess.

Case and point.

Who Wore Roberto Cavalli Better? Carla Gugino or Elle Macpherson

Actress Carla Gugino arrived at the LA premiere of “Watchmen” wearing a emerald green Roberto Cavalli asymmetrical dress, with a gold sequined bodice.

Gold accessories complemented the look.

Model Elle Macpherson arrived at the ‘Women’s World Awards’ at the ‘Stadthalle’ in Vienna the same dress, also with gold accessories including a gold Jimmy Choo Kase Oval clutch, and gold bracelets.

I don’t know if it’s Elle’s natural glow, the light, or the fact that she is beaming so brightly, because the dress looks really plain on Carla.  Elle wins for me.

The CW Network 2009 Upfront

Blake Lively really makes me fall in love with her blue Adam silk double strap playsuit. It’s so cute, and sexy all at the same time.

Leg lengthening nude peep-toes, and a stack of bracelets complete the look.

Any other week she would be up for Best Dressed.

As would Jessica Stroup, in this equally cute and ultra-girly, Brian Reyes spaghetti strapped chiffon dress.

The dress has a layered silk chiffon skirt with frayed edges, and a contrast waist band.

I love her hair loosely pull back, in this summery youthful look.

Sergio Rossi clutch and Dolce & Gabbana champagne peep-toes, complete the look.

I like the long Jil Sander Spring 2009 blazer with shorts combo, but I can’t take Leighton Meester’s two-tone hair.

Is this hair colour for a role she is playing?

Because I refuse to believe she just wanted it this way.

Elle Macpherson shows off that body, which made her so famous, wearing a black strapless pencil dress, from Victoria Beckham’s Spring 2009 collection.

So Tyra Banks can tone down her look.

The TV presenter wore a slate grey Marley silk wrap jumpsuit, with a matching necklace, and a contrast elasticated belt.

On trend nude heels completed the look.

I prefer her as a honey blonde. Do you guys like this darker ‘do?

I have always envied Jessica Szohr’s luscious thick hair.

The Gossip Girl actress, wore a blue off-the-shoulder Rebecca Taylor Spring 2009 dress with studded details, which matched with covetable silver sandals.

Va va va voom. AnnaLynne McCord is purring in her Dolce & Gabbana satin bustier dress.

This kind of dress would have surely got her noticed, as it accentuate her femme curves.

She kept it super sexy with strappy sandals.

Taylor Momsen is such a pretty girl, I wish she wore opt for much softer make-up.

She still channeling biker/rock girl chic, wearing a leather look plus a floral Rag & Bone silk tank and strappy sandals.

Ashlee Simpson channels funky secretary chic, with her 2 in 1 black and white combo dress.

A large necklace and black and pink Lanvin patent pumps with pink bow details complete the look.
