Elizabeth Olsen In Marc Jacobs & Miu Miu – ‘Wind River’ Cannes Film Festival Photocall & Premiere

Elizabeth Olsen was in attendance at the ‘Wind River’ photocall and the premiere of ‘The Square,’ both on Saturday (May 20) during the 2017 Cannes Film Festival.

Photocall: This Marc Jacobs Fall 2017 patterned dress had something of an identity crisis. Part of it was firmly rooted in winter with its dark, metallic colour palette, turtleneck and long, puff sleeves; while its super-short silhouette was all sun and legs. She styled the look with Monica Vinader jewels and Nicholas Kirkwood heels. However, a nude or brushed metallic shoe might have helped lighten the mood.

Premiere: I can’t say I was crazy about her second look either. The rosy glow of this embellished Miu Miu gown held promise. But, between the droop sleeves, the shoulder pads, and the plunge, it had an overcooked flavour that I couldn’t quite put my finger on. Chopard jewels completed the look.

Elizabeth Olsen In Dries van Noten – ‘Wind Dance’ Sundance Film Festival Premiere

Elizabeth Olsen was at the ‘Wind Dance’ premiere during the 2017 Sundance Film Festival on Saturday (January 21) in Park City, Utah.

You could say she danced to the beat of her own style drum, topping off her black full bodysuit with a Dries van Noten lotus-print dress styled more like a long coat with the wrap tie at the waist left undone.

It looked like a bathrobe when Rihanna wore it a year-and-a-half ago and that resemblance certainly hasn’t changed here.

2017 Image Maker Awards

Marie Claire’s Image Maker Awards 2017 were held at Catch LA on January 10, 2017 in West Hollywood, California, celebrating the makeup artists, hairstylists, and others behind Hollywood’s hottest beauties.

Jessica Pare: The actress worked a geometric Camilla and Marc Fall 2017 tunic-and-pants combo that prioritized casual comfort. I’m glad she brought a more exciting cherry lip stain out to play.

Janelle Monae: There is not a doubt that Janelle was having plenty of fun with her sparkly Thom Browne Spring 2017 ensemble that put a whole new meaning to tuxedo dress. I cannot say that I loved it—or her bobby pin-spiked hair, for that matter. But what I did love was her beautiful makeup, with the subtle blue under-eye shadow and glossy nude lip.

Jessica Alba: The cutouts in Jessica Alba’s suede Balmain jacket made all the difference in the world to elevate this Spring 2017 look.

Elizabeth Olsen In Proenza Schouler - 'I Saw The Light' Nashville Premiere

Elizabeth Olsen attended the premiere of ‘I Saw The Light’ at The Belcourt Theatre on Saturday (October 17) in Nashville, Tennessee.

The actress wore a Proenza Schouler Spring 2016 black bouclé tweed, drop waist asymmetrical dress which pushes past the expected boundaries of textural sartorialism.

Keeping the look simple, she styled her dress with simple black pumps and a choker.

Christian Dior Spring 2016 Front Row

Christian Dior Spring 2016 Front Row

The Christian Dior Spring 2016 front row featured no shortage of Dior darlings who were taking in the looks that were presented during Paris Fashion Week on Friday (October 3) in Paris, France.

Elizabeth Olsen: Chic for days, the ‘Avengers: Age of Ultron’ actress was the very representation of androgynous allure in a Dior Haute Couture black cashmere jacket with black wool pants paired with a Dior clutch and Dior heels. Although the sleeves could be deemed a bit on the long side, the oversized shawl collar and the monochromatic power of this minimalist moment—not to mention the breezily undone look of her blonde locks—won me over.

Emilia Clarke
: Also balancing the masculine-feminine line, the ‘Game of Thrones’ stunned in a Dior black silk and wool cadi dress that had the makings of a tailored blazer. What could have been a rather nondescript dress Emila took to the next level with the welcome punch of Dior navy and pink heels and that just-bitten, berry-stained lip.

Leelee Sobieski: Straying away from the black trend, Leelee channeled the lighter side in a Dior Haute Couture hand-painted, pastel cotton dress with a Dior Haute Couture necklace and shoes. Ironically, the effect was still rather heavy given the strict, monastic-like silhouette. Yet, she wore it with a sense of drama that certainly brought its own measure of captivating intrigue.
