The Glamour of Italian Fashion Exhibition Red Carpet Roundup

Here is a quick roundup of a few others who joined Naomi Campbell and Rita Ora on the red carpet for the preview of The Glamour of Italian Fashion exhibition at the Victoria & Albert Museum on Tuesday (April 1) in London, England.

Elizabeth Hurley: On a night celebrating Italian glamour, it could’ve gone two ways for Hurley: Versace or Cavalli. The British actress opted for the latter, selecting a black Cavalli halter gown which is lightly beaded and made sexy with a selection of cut-outs.

David Gandy: No prizes for guessing that the model was dressed in Dolce & Gabbana. His classic double-breasted suit is Dolce & Gabbana tailoring at its very best.

Erin O’Connor: Opting not to go the Italian designer route, the model looked divine dressing her baby bump with a Vivienne Westwood Gold Label Fall 2014 lavender draped dress. It’s so lovely to see her in a colour other than her favoured black. A pretty statement necklace, Smythson ‘Floating Envelope’ python box clutch, gold t-bar sandals and a gold cuff.

Elizabeth Hurley In Versace Collection - Bloomingdales Kicks Off Breast Cancer Awareness Month

As an ambassador, Elizabeth Hurley attended the Estee Lauder We’re Stronger Together – Celebrating Unity in the Fight Against Breast Cancer event at Bloomingdale’s on Tuesday in New York City.
As is customary, the British actress wore a pink frock.

Her pale-pink sequin-embellished dress enriched by a matching belt with a gold buckle from the Versace Collection was just styled with pale-pink platform shoes. With all the bling from her dress, I think she decided that jewels would’ve been overkill.

Wavy locks and glossy lips completed her look.

Elizabeth Hurley In Emilio Pucci - 15th Annual White Tie and Tiara Ball

Elizabeth Hurley was spotted leaving her home in London yesterday evening en route to the 15th Annual White Tie and Tiara Ball to Benefit the Elton John AIDS Foundation in Association with Chopard.

The actress wore an Emilio Pucci burgundy silk-cady one-shoulder gown from the Resort 2013 collection, which she styled with nude platform sandals and a gold Jimmy Choo ‘Tube’ clutch.

I’m sure you will agree that there is nothing new here. Liz Hurley wearing a slit-to-the-thigh gown is pretty much a standard look.

It’s like saying water is wet and the sky is blue.

Elizabeth Hurley and Kate Hudson - 2013 Hot Pink Party

Elizabeth Hurley and Kate Hudson attended the 2013 Hot Pink Party at The Waldorf Astoria in New York City on Wednesday night.

It appeared only one person got the pink memo.

Elizabeth Hurley: As ambassador of the Breast Cancer Research Foundation, Liz wore a plunging pink sequined Blumarine Fall 2013 frock with a light-pink tulle hem. The figure-flattering, cleavage-baring dress may be considered over the top or regarded as an insensitive choice considering the occasion, but I guess her stance is to celebrate the great work the charity does. Blown-out waves and Chopard jewels completed her look.

Kate Hudson: The blonde actress’s approach was the total opposite. She kept her look simple yet she looked so very chic, wearing a black Ann Taylor long-sleeved gown. Nope, this look is far from boring; I just love her styling, with the multi-coloured snakeskin peep-toes, the gold cuff and Erickson Beamon earrings, with smoky eyes and nude lips providing the finishing touches.

Despite my love of pink, sequins and high glamour, I much prefer Kate’s look on this occasion. Simple, sexy glamour at its finest. J’adore.

Elizabeth Hurley attended the Grey Goose Winter Ball held at the Battersea Power station in London on Saturday evening.

The British star wore a Blumarine Fall 2012 gown.

Even though Elizabeth’s does rotate her favourite designers (Cavalli, Blumarine and Versace) the style of dress is always very familiar, like this full-length leopard print chiffon dress embellished with iridescent sequins.

At first I was surprised that Liz didn’t wear the gown as presented on the runway, but when she walked you could see the slits.

During Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Elizabeth Hurley, the face of Estee Lauder’s Breast Cancer Research Foundation, has been supporting the cause by wearing a variety of designer clothes in the charity’s chosen colour: pink.

Last week she kick started the month wearing a pink Issa dress with nude pumps at the launch of the 20th Anniversary of Estee Lauder’s Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign by lighting the Empire State building in New York City.

On Monday she teamed a dark pink Elie Tahari dress with geometric cut-outs around the neckline with black Christian Louboutin peep-toes.

By Wednesday she was in Paris, attending the ’20 Ans Du Ruban Rose’ event to illuminate the Paris Opera House, wearing a Naeem Khan Spring 2012 dress.

Her fuchsia matte jersey dress with micro bugle beading, a keyhole opening, and an open back was perfectly styled with metallic silver pumps and matching clutch.

Yesterday the actress was back in the UK, where she made a personal appearance at Selfridges in the Trafford Centre, Manchester wearing a shocking-pink dress with a plunging neckline and long sleeves which she styled with nude and black peep-toes.

Finally, that same evening, Liz turned the Selfridges lights pink wearing a Pamella Roland fuschia-and-powder-pink sequin dress with nude pumps.
