Elizabeth Banks' ‘Catching Fire’ Promo Tour Beauty Looks

The stars of ‘The Hunger Games: Catching Fire’ have just completed an extensive worldwide promotional tour, and while we’ve all had fun admiring and discussing Elizabeth Banks’ gorgeous gowns during the tour, her beauty looks also deserve closer inspection.

In Berlin, the actress went with a classic, sexy, brown smokey eye, a delicate nude lip, and her lob styled into tousled waves. The look is classically sexy and perfectly executed by the star. To get a gorgeous, subtle nude lip like Elizabeth’s, try Hourglass Femme Nude Lip Stylo in the shade that best matches your skintone.

In Paris, things got more playful with her hair coiffed into a modern hybrid between sculpture and bouffant–definitely Parisian, and definitely modern. As for her makeup, Elizabeth had lashes for days (obviously her MUA enlisted the use of falsies in this case), and lined her bottom lashes with blue–a trend we’ve been seeing and loving since this summer. To amp up the volume on your own lashes, try Eylure Katy Perry Eyelashes in Oh Honey!, which will give you a full fringed effect.

In Los Angeles, Elizabeth went for another classic beauty look–smooth, voluminous locks with black kohl rimmed eyes and layer-upon-layer of mascara. The key to the eyes is tight-lining both eyelids and making sure every lash is coated multiple times in jet-black mascara. As for her lips, once again, Elizabeth kept things simple, so the eyes take center stage. To get this same tightlined kohl effect on your eyes, use Guerlain ‘Khol Me Kahal’ Eyeliner.

For the final stop on the tour, New York City, Elizabeth channeled the classic 50s screen siren with a vampy red lip and black cat eye. A textured updo is the perfect modern accent to the classic makeup. To get a similar matte red lip, use NARS Velvet Matte Lip Pencil in Dragon Girl.

These looks are all so perfect, I have a hard time choosing a favorite, but which do you think looks best on the star?

Elizabeth Banks Hunger Games Promo Tour

Elizabeth Banks lit up the red carpet on each occasion during her promo tour for ‘The Hunger Games: Catching Fire’.

We expected a lot following her epic run for the first movie, but even we didn’t expect a 100% flaw-free tour which left us begging for more.

It all started in London, where she kicked off with Alexander McQueen, before epitomizing the phrase ‘go big or go home’ wearing a lemon satin strapless gown which was custom made by Jason Wu, before turning to Jason Wu again for her after-party look.

Berlin is without question my favourite from the tour. Her Elie Saab Couture gown still sends shivers down my spine and is most definitely non-negotiable when putting together my BDOTY list.
Elizabeth sparkled once again in Elie Saab for the Norway premiere before moving onto Paris, where she delighted in her second McQueen look of the tour.

Things didn’t slow down when she returned stateside, donning an orange Versace frock in LA which was our best look of the week, followed by a change of pace with a Jenny Packham two-piece in New York to round out her tour.

If only all promo tours could be this spectacular and memorable.

We both crowned Queen Elizabeth Banks and the gorgeous David Gandy as best dressed this week.

Elizabeth looked stunning in her Versace orange gown which was just one of many great looks she presented to us during ‘The Hunger Games: Catching Fire’ promo tour.

David wasn’t all about this good looks; his attention to detail, colour coordination and impeccable sense of style earned him this weeks honour.

Elizabeth Banks In Jenny Packham - 'The Hunger Games Catching Fire' New York Premiere

Elizabeth Banks has really done nothing but pushed the fashion envelope—in the most stunning way possible—during ‘The Hunger Games: Catching Fire’ promo tour, including the most recent New York City premiere at AMC Lincoln Square Theatre on Wednesday night.

The actress again delivered a dynamic red-carpet entrance, even it was left field of her previous looks. She kept the glam, but exchanged the gown for a black two-piece outfit, sprinkled with a hefty dose of dazzle, from Jenny Packham’s Fall 2013 collection.

Indeed, the most alluring facet of the strapless, bustier top and matching pants was the flurry of glittery embellishment that shined across the bodice and shot down the sides of each leg like the most ravishing racing stripes ever.

What’s more, she didn’t clutter the eye-catching ensemble with a host of unnecessary accessories, opting only for a small black Edie Parker clutch and a minimal, but effective smattering of Lorraine Schwartz jewels. Even the black Christian Louboutin pumps didn’t leave me wishing for another, more exciting pair.

A teased, bouffant-style ‘do, along with that completely captivating pop of a coral lip, added another layer of drama to the sparkling look.

She stepped away from her run of sweeping, seductive and sublime dresses. Pants perfection?

Elizabeth Banks In Osman - The Ellen DeGeneres Show

Elizabeth Banks was on ‘The Ellen DeGeneres Show’ to promote ‘The Hunger Games: Catching Fire’ on Tuesday, where she talked about filming the movie and Effie Trinket’s amazing wardrobe (you can watch the interview here).

Having seen the movie I can say that her wardrobe is even better than in the first instalment. We’ve already seen a still of her in McQueen, but there are plenty more McQueen moments in the movie.

Continuing her epic run promoting this movie and showing her love for all things colourful, just like her character, she wore an Osman Spring 2014 red-and-blue tree-print frock with an asymmetrical hemline.

Not slacking in the shoe department, she styled her look with violet Aperlai shoes.

I’ve said it before and I will say it again. It’s gonna be a sad day when this promo tour is over.
