Elizabeth Banks In Emanuel Ungaro – Museum of Modern Art Film Benefit: A Tribute to Julianne Moore

Elizabeth Banks was in attendance at the Museum of Modern Art Film Benefit: A Tribute to Julianne Moore on Monday (November 13) in New York City.

The actress donned an Emanuel Ungaro Spring 2018 outfit which had an interesting mix of volume and shapes. The wide-leg pants and the full off-the-shoulder sleeves of the top were almost cloud-like with their softness. The gentle draping was contrasted with the sharp corners of the rectangular bodice.

I was enamored with the way the volume of the separates was juxtaposed with the black choker. Elizabeth wore a similar version to the runway’s but brought the bow around to the back as to not compete with the top’s neckline.

Did the look win you over?

Elizabeth Banks In Alice + Olivia – 2017 Breeders’ Cup World Championship

Elizabeth Banks showed her style stripes at the 2017 Breeders’ Cup World Championship on Saturday (November 4) in Del Mar, California, joining Camilla Belle for the event.

This Alice + Olivia Resort 2018 ruffled ensemble offered up a playfully bold version of the jumpsuit.

Taking the lookbook’s red splash a step further, she not only styled the outfit with crimson pumps but also a matching fascinator to complete the quirky sophistication factor.

Elizabeth Banks In Wolk Morais – 13th Annual Outfest Legacy Awards

Elizabeth Banks was on hand at the 13th Annual Outfest Legacy Awards on Sunday (October 22) in Los Angeles, California.

Whether she is channeling Old Hollywood glamour or experimenting with something edgier, the actress never fails to disappoint me. This Wolk Morais Fall 2016 ensemble was no exception.

The magenta floral silk jacquard jumpsuit captured the light, projecting a moody elegance. The short-sleeved blouse and cropped trousers brought a retro, feminine edge to the reflective fabric.

The black clutch and sandals let the jumpsuit do the talking while the swirling updo was an interesting finishing touch. What did you think of her hair?

Women In Film 2017 Crystal + Lucy Awards

A group of talented beauties turned out for the Women In Film 2017 Crystal + Lucy Awards were held on Tuesday (June 13) in Beverly Hills, California. As Max Mara were a presenting sponsor, there were many looks from the design house on the red carpet.

Brittany Snow
: I love the playfulness of the oversized polka dot motif in Brittany’s summer-ready frock and its darling nod to retro styling with the centre midriff cutout and bow at the bodice.

Zoey Deutch: While Zoey also wore a monochromatic colour palette, her cream gown struck a much more dramatic chord with its asymmetric, black ribbon sash. But it was Zoey’s oxblood lip and gigantic spherical earrings that really intensified the darker glamour of this sculptural statement.

Elizabeth Banks In Michael Kors Collection – 2017 Met Gala

Elizabeth Banks had my head spinning the minute she stepped onto the carpet at the 2017 Met Gala on Monday (May 1) in New York City.

Not only did the actress debut a new platinum ’do, she donned a custom Michael Kors optical-illusion column dress styled with a Jimmy Choo ‘Box’ clutch and gems from Established Jewelry and Jennifer Fisher.

The funhouse-worthy combination of geometric circles and squares in this graphic gown had nothing short of a psychedelic effect.

My one complaint with this look? I loved it—I think—but, I couldn’t rest my eyes on it for too long without absorbing its dizzying effect.

Haute or headache?

2017 Humane Society Gala

The Humane Society’s annual ‘To the Rescue!’ gala was held on Saturday (April 22) in LA, with a group of animal-loving stars in attendance.

Laura Vandervoort: The epitome of chic, Laura showed off the glories of the LBD’s counterpart, the little white dress, in this Rhea Costa Pre-Fall 2017 design. I love the subtle drama of the split sleeves and how she frosted the minimalist look with the sophisticated flash of accessories including an embellished bronze Kate Spade New York clutch and Bionda Castana metallic shoes.

Elizabeth Banks: Girly springtime flair was alive and well in this pointillist pink Fendi dress styled with complementary Prada shoes. The racing stripes down the front and sides added a welcome edge to the sweetness of the ruffle skirt, keeping the look from going too sugary.

Rooney Mara: This Burberry Spring 2017 ensemble paired ladylike, doily lace with a menswear-inspired dress shirt. But, despite the fresh, creamy-white hue, the look not only seemed ill-fitted but also a bit drab and ageing on Rooney.
