Elizabeth Banks In Mary Katrantzou – March Of Dimes Celebration Of Babies: A Hollywood Luncheon

Elizabeth Banks In Mary Katrantzou - March Of Dimes Celebration Of Babies A Hollywood Luncheon

Elizabeth Banks attended the March Of Dimes Celebration Of Babies at the Regent Beverly Wilshire Hotel on Friday (December 5) in Beverly Hills, California.

The actress wore a Mary Katrantzou Resort 2015 printed dress styled with Nicholas Kirkwood ‘Mirage’ sandals and a striped Edie Parker clutch.

I love how spritely the look is, just the tonic to banish the winter blues, and it oozes girlish flare without being twee.

I also love how, when she does wear black pumps, she doesn’t go for the simple plain option.

Elizabeth Banks In DKNY – The Ellen DeGeneres Show

Elizabeth Banks In DKNY - The Ellen DeGeneres Show

Elizabeth Banks made a guest appearance on ‘The Ellen DeGeneres Show’ on Monday (November 17) to promote ‘The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1′.

The actress talked about the challenges of her character Effie going from the elaborate clothing she’s famed for to a grey jumpsuit.

In real life Elizabeth is all about colour, and that was once again evident when she donned a vibrantly clashing palette of red and pale blue in this DKNY Spring 2015 striped sporty top paired with a red flared skirt.

Elizabeth simply styled the look with red Stuart Weitzman ‘Nudist’ sandals and an elegant updo with sweeping bangs.

I love how the look balances delicate femininity with an energetic vibe.

Get The Look: Elizabeth Banks’ AMAs Makeup

2014 American Music Awards - ArrivalsCelebrity makeup artist Fiona Stiles worked with Elizabeth Banks for the 2014 American Music Awards on Sunday.

Fiona explains her beauty inspiration. “Clean with colour was the inspiration to complement Elizabeth’s dress for the American Music Awards. She looks so great with a strong brow and a bright lip – it’s my favourite way to make her up.”

Here’s how to get the look

She began with Koh Gen Do Maifanshi Moisture Foundation #023 and Tom Ford Concealing Pen in Medium/Light. She also used a bit of Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Powder.

For contour and highlighter, she used Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze & Glow. To bring out those cheeks she used NARS Sex Machine and Chanel Les Beiges #30 blush.

Fiona said that a little contour gives a modern, sculpted look with just a touch of blush for a subtle flush. Plus it keeps the contour from looking too severe.

On the brows she used Anastasia Brow Wiz in Medium Ash.

For the eyes, she just used a combination of a powder highlighter and contour instead of eyeshadow (Kevyn Aucoin The Sculpting Powder and MAC Lightsweep Highlighter). She likes using taupe because it adds depth without looking like a lot of makeup. It makes the eye colour pop and it doesn’t compete with the rest of the makeup. She used Antonym Eyeliner in Noir, a deep inky black pencil, to line the upper lid right along the lashes and then swiped Surratt Autographique Liquid Liner in Chat Noir on top of it to make it even blacker.

Loads of Charlotte Tilbury Full Fat Lashes in Glossy Black were applied on the top and a coat on the bottom to give the eyes a bit of 60s flavour.

For the lips she didn’t want to exactly match the colours in her dress so she mixed an orange and fuchsia to get a custom electric pink that lands in between the red and orange of the dress (Butter London LIPPY Moisture Matte Lipstick in Ladybird & Dahling).

Elizabeth Banks In Peter Pilotto – 2014 American Music Awards

Elizabeth Banks In Peter Pilotto - 2014 American Music Awards

Elizabeth Banks attended the 2014 American Music Awards, hosted on Sunday night (November 23) at the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live in Los Angeles, California.

The actress, who has been on the promo tour for ‘The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1’ also worked a short dress to her advantage, donning a Peter Pilotto Spring 2015 frock in boldly acidic shades of pink and orange contrasted with black.

The texture of the lacy, engineered fabric and embellished overlays is really what makes this design so interesting. Otherwise, the general silhouette of the dress could translate as a bit twee for Elizabeth.

Nicholas Kirkwood ‘Savara’ sculpted heels in matching colourways to the dress accessorized the look, as did a Reece Hudson clutch and Casa Reale statement ring.

Do you like her night away from ‘Hunger Games’ press duties, or are you craving her more dramatic premiere looks?

Elizabeth Banks In Leonard – ‘The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1′ LA Premiere

Elizabeth Banks In Leonard - 'The Hunger Games Mockingjay - Part 1' LA Premiere

Elizabeth Banks attended the premiere of ‘The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1′ held at the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live on Monday (November 17) in Los Angeles, California.

The actress wore a dramatic Leonard Fall 2014 strapless paisley-print gown cut in a modern silhouette, which was a considerably unique design worthy of a big premiere.

Her red Rauwolf clutch perfectly complements the look, but I just can’t get on board with the gold Roger Vivier winklepickers with the thick ankle strap.

Frankly, they almost ruin this look for me. The dress was dramatic enough; it perhaps didn’t need such a focus-stealing, heavy shoe.

Best Dressed Of The Week – Elizabeth Banks In Elie Saab Couture, Mary, Crown Princess of Denmark In Jesper Høvring & Jason Sudeikis

BDOTW readers

Elizabeth Banks was your best dressed this week sweeping the red carpet with her breathtaking Elie Saab Couture gown, which also gave me chills; however, I selected Mary, Crown Princess of Denmark in her dazzling Jesper Høvring gown for looking every inch a princess.

When it came to the fellas, we were in total agreement: Jason Sudeikis. His sharp windowpane suit with contrasting shirt and tie was the most unique, interesting and well-styled suit to hit the red carpet last week.

This win is made all the more epic considering David Gandy was on the poll, as he is very much used to winning every poll he is entered into.
