2010 Emmy Awards – Elisabeth Moss In Donna Karan

Simple Yet Stunning Award
Elisabeth Moss is nominated for the “Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama” category for Mad Men at the 2010 Emmy Awards tonight.

January Jones will get plenty of attention for her Atelier Versace gown as she’s one of the few TV actresses who can be loaned a Couture gown.

Christina Hendricks will also get a lot of attention in her Zac Posen gown for obvious reasons, but I think Elisabeth should also be commended for the elegance she displayed in her custom Donna Karan gown.

Whilst her co-stars were going for attention grabbing looks, Elisabeth played it cool and calm in her dove grey silk chiffon one-shoulder gown.

I adore the colour which surprisingly doesn’t wash her out, and I also ache for the way this gown drapes beautifully around her body.

Chopard jewels and neutral make-up complete this look.

It’s gonna be hell picking a top 10.

2010 Entertainment Weekly And Women In Film Pre-Emmy Party – Elisabeth Moss In Hervé Léger by Max Azria

I didn’t have Elisabeth Moss down as a Hervé Léger kinda girl, but she donned a grey bandage dress for the 2010 Entertainment Weekly And Women In Film Pre-Emmy Party this weekend.

Her off-the-shoulder dress – which she paired with nude Louboutin’s – shows off her toned figure.

The star is nominated for tonights Emmy Awards in the “Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series”.

I would love to see her wearing a strapless dress from the Alexis Mabile Fall 2010 Couture collection.

“Mad Men” Season 4 Premiere – Elisabeth Moss In Oscar de la Renta

I was shocked that “Man Men” had its Season 4 premiere last night in LA, considering I only recently broke out my Season 1 box set.

I have a lot of catching up to do.

Elisabeth Moss one of the stars of “Man Men” walked the red carpet at the premiere wearing an Oscar de la Renta dress.

Her emerald taffeta one shoulder dress was made interesting with a cascading ruffle from the shoulder down the front of the dress.

Many of you are over nude pumps on the red carpet, and I must say I’m not particularly keen on Elisabeth’s nude Louboutin’s with her stand out dress.

I love that she let her dress do all the talking with this look.

Who Wore Luella Better? Alexa Chung, Sheree Murphy or Elisabeth Moss

Alexa Chung first wore this Luella Fall 2009 dress to the “British Academy Television Awards” in April.

I normally love, love, love Alexa but on this occasion I’m feeling a little let down.

This is her standard puffball look but I’m really not sure about the sweater underneath.

And don’t even get me started on that cat bag…

WAG Sheree Murphy then wore this dress at the beginning of December to the “Liverpool Style Awards”.

I actually don’t mind the tights in this look as they seem to compliment the pattern of the dress.

I love her dark eyes, really dramatic.

Elisabeth Moss wore this dress in mid December to the “Have You Heard About The Morgans Premiere” in New York.

How has she managed to make this dress look so mumsy?!

Everything from the shoes to the corkscrew curls ages this look about a hundred years.

For me, Sheree wins this round hands down.

Social Event Of The Week

2009 New York Variety Screening Series “A Single Man”, New York

I like the black pants Julianne Moore wore with her Balanciaga Fall 2009 blouse and lace bandeau, but I would’ve preferred the runway grey on her.

The grey is less heavy.

X-Factor Runners Up At Gatwick, London

X Factor runners up Stacey Soloman and Olly Murs made an appearance at Gatwick Airport today as part of the airport’s Christmas celebrations, which gave passengers the chance to sing to win at trip to see the Northern Lights – hopefully not on British Airways.

Stacey wore a bordeaux Temperley London Alexandria embellished silk tunic with cream peep-toes, which we recently saw on WAG Amanda Carrington.

12 mins 50 secs and counting.

“Did You Hear About The Morgans?” New York Premiere

Elisabeth Moss wore a Luella corseted jacquard mini dress from the Fall 2009 collection with black pumps.

Not my favourite look from her.

I really expected Sarah Jessica Parker to bring it at the New York preimere of her movie, but I was sadly disappointed.

At the London premiere she braved the elements wearing a L’Wren Scott mini dress, but on this occasion she kept it very simple with a chiffon dress with a leaf detail.

I don’t hate the look, but I just expected a bit more.

I do however love her Nicholas Kirkwood python cut-out platform heels.

I love this grey dress on Cynthia Nixon.

That draped detail is so subtly sexy.

Her silver peep-toes are a bit special too.

“Late Show With David Letterman”, New York

Woot woot. Not a corset in sight.

Leona Lewis appears to have weaned herself off wearing those darn corset belts.

I wonder how she’s holding up going cold turkey.

The vegan singer looks gorgeous wearing black jeans, a cropped jacket, a striped top, faux leather thigh-high boots whilst carrying a Stella McCartney chain-embellished faux leather bag.

Zoe Saldana wore a look by L’Agence which included a L’Agence Jersey scoop-neck top, white ultra skinny jeans and a grey blazer.

I love it when stars dress down and get it so right.
