Red Carpet Fashion Awards

Selita Ebanks, Vice Chair of the New Yorkers for Children Gala looked amazing wearing a J. Mendel Spring 2010 citron draped gown.

I tend to associate Victoria’s Secret models with bod-con mini dress, but Selita temporarily blows that stereotype out of the water.

The model wore Slane & Slane jewelry and carried a Nancy Gonzalez clutch to complete her BDOTW worthy look.

It’s been a while since we have seen Joy Bryant on the red carpet, but during her time-out one this hasn’t changed.

Her love for Missoni.

At this event she wore a leaf print Missoni Fall 2009 stone silk dress with bold multi-coloured leaf print.

This is the perfect transitional look for fall.

Hilary Rhoda sparkled wearing a sterling silver ombre paillette halter Naeem Khan Spring 2009 dress with very deep plunge.

Matching strappy sandals and clutch complete this sexy look.

I wasn’t at all crazy about this Cavlin Klein Resort 2010 blue/grey off-the-shoulder dress when I saw it on the runway, but Elettra Rossellini Wiedemann injects a bit of personality and body into the dress to make it much more appealing.

Alina Cho wears a purple Oscar de la Renta pleated duchess satin gown which was my favourite from the Fall 2009 collection.

I was going to say I prefer the runway belt, but she is wearing the runway belt. The lighting makes them appear different.

Ines Rivero wears the same zebra print Naeem Khan Resort 2009 gown which Eva Longoria wore to Roselyn Sanchez wedding.

Mary J Blige wore a rose strapless crepe Gucci gown with bow detailing on the hip.

I love this colour on her, but as always the tattoos turn me off.

Her look was paired with a black python Gucci clutch.

Tinsley Mortimer is wearing my favourite colour of at the moment – electric blue.

Her dress was paired with a pair of grey heels.

I wonder if they will become her new favourites.

Melissa George looked so elegant wearing a black one-shoulder Calvin Klein Fall 2009 with black strappy sandals from the same collection.

Unfortunately you can’t see the details of her dress in this picture, but from the runway you can see the layered detail which snakes around the dress.

Minimalist is that foundation on which Calvin Klein was built on, so Melissa kept her accessory’s to a minimum with a silver box clutch, earrings and a single bracelet.

Elettra Wiedemann also opted for a no frills look, simply wearing a black asymmetrical Calvin Klein Fall 2009 dress with a textured single buttoned jacket.

Black boots and a black clutch completed this beautiful simplicity, but I would’ve loved a dab of colour on her lips like Melissa.

We have a result!!!

Alexa Chung has finally taken my advice and washed her hair. Now only if she could do this more often.

The MTV presenter would have stood out in a sea of black dresses wearing a red Calvin Klein Collection Terall dress.

I love this bright red dress, which is made more interesting with her stunning silver necklace

Geez woman lose those darn booties with every look.

Elettra Wiedemann is the current face of Lancôme, following in the footsteps of her mother Isabella Rossellini.

The fresh faced beauty was recently in Finland, to attend their Elle Style Awards.

She walked the red carpet, looking so elegant wearing a black J. Mendel Pre-Fall 2009 gown.

The satin gown has a sheer yoke, a black sash around the waist, accented with a brooch, then the gown elegantly drapes from the hip.

Her second look was in stark contrast, as she wore an edgier metallic look from Marc Jacobs Spring 2009 collection.

She mixed the top and cummerbund from Look 22, with the skirt from Look 2.

I would have loved to have seen her in the whole of Look 22, but it great that she was adventurous enough to mix different pieces from this collection.
