Dua Lipa In Philosophy di Lorenzo Serafini – Capital’s Jingle Bell Ball

Like Rita Ora, Dua Lipa would’ve turned heads at the Capital FM Jingle Bell Ball on Saturday (December 9) in London.

Proving smart check trousers aren’t only for boardroom-dwellers, the singer opted for a chic and sultry look from Philosophy di Lorenzo Serafini’s Fall 2017 collection.

Making this look her own by removing the harness, I totally buying into the rock n’ roll vibe of this look.

What strikes me is that this doesn’t feel like an deliberate attempt to be provocative, more a case of being bold and individual with her look.

You may remember that Sara Sampaio wore this same look to the Irving Penn Exhibition Private Viewing Hosted by Vogue back in October.

Dua Lipa In MSGM – Kiss House Party Live 2017

Before taking to the stage to perform, Dua Lipa was on the red carpet at the Kiss Haunted House Party Live 2017 on Thursday (October 26) in London, England.

There would be no doubting the haunted Halloween theme in her dramatic look that transformed this MSGM Fall 2017 sheer tulle dress into a blood-red, vampire bride costume complete with a veil.

With her jet-black locks matching the black roses, there was a dark intensity of glamour that pervaded the look.

And, I have to say, she pulled it off quite effectively in this setting whereby Halloween provided all the reason to go vampy or go home.

Dua Lipa In Giambattista Valli Couture & Alessandra Rich – BBC Radio 1 Teen Awards

Before taking to the stage to perform at the BBC Radio 1 Teen Awards 2017 on Sunday (October 22) in London, Dua Lipa was on the red carpet.

This Giambattista Valli Fall 2017 Couture lemon-yellow gown had a light and diaphanous quality, but it didn’t fully translate on her.

I think the big black belt had a lot to do with that, as it took away some of the whimsy. Yet, I guess I can understand the rationale behind the accessory for the definition and edginess it provided.

Belt or no belt?

Dua Lipa In Attico – Ascap London Music Awards

Up-and-coming British pop singer Dua Lipa was at the ASCAP London Music Awards, where she was honoured with the Vanguard Award on Monday (October 16).

She gave the directional Vetements Fall 2017 boots a run out, pairing them with a starry Attico Spring 2018 asymmetrical top.

A cross between satiny pants and high-fashion waders, the boots were definitely the star of the show despite her top’s motif.

But, it was the big fold-over effect of her right boot that gave me pause, as it looked something like a giant Band-Aid. I wish it had been a similar colourway to the rest of the look.

Dua Lipa In Ulyana Sergeenko – ‘Dunkirk’ London Premiere

Dua Lipa joined a host of stars for the ‘Dunkirk’ world premiere on Thursday (July 13) in London.

The musicians style is usually experimental judging by her last outing, so I guess she wanted to take a more measured approach on this occasion.

I love how her Ulyana Sergeenko gown marries sheer embroidered silk with a satin bustier for an ethereal mix that boasts just enough sensuality.

Adding a lime green McQueen clutch gave the look an edge of urban sophistication.

Dua Lipa In Blumarine – ‘Baby Driver’ London Premiere

Music sensation Dua Lipa was never bound to wear a gown while attending the London premiere of ‘Baby Driver’ on Tuesday (June 21) in London, alongside Lily James and Eiza Gonzalez.

I expected her to march to the beat of her own drum and wear something slightly provocative, so I really liked this two piece Blumarine Spring 2017 look.

That was until my eyes panned down to the trousers.

Those creases are so unfortunate.

My heart actually bleeds for her because the light-hearted look, styled with René Caovilla and a pooch shoulder bag, was oozing a great sense of flirty fun and youthfulness.

2017 Glamour Women Of The Year Awards Red Carpet Roundup

The 2017 Glamour Women Of The Year Awards took place on Tuesday (June 6) in London. The event attracted some famous faces in fashionable ensembles.

Dua Lipa: The singer definitely got the ‘glamour’ memo judging by her Stella McCartney Fall 2017 cut-out gown. It was one of the few sultry after-dark looks we saw at this event.

Emily Berrington: Emilio Pucci’s dress seems inspired by paisley print. The unusual design features panelling, print, and a cut-out. Whilst this look is commendable for playing with shape, it’s confusing and overworked.

Rashida Jones: Amongst the sea of florals and neutrals, this Erdem Pre-Fall 2017 dress did stand out. I love the intricate detailing on the neckline which adds some softness to this look. The silhouette seems somewhat unflattering, however. I also wish the ‘Parks and Recreation’ actress has opted for more daring styling choices to amplify this look.
