Drew Barrymore @ 2010 V Festival

Having helped organise Virgin’s V Festival a few years ago, I know what a massive coup it was for the organizers to have A list star Drew Barrymore hang out in their VIP lounge this weekend despite her not wearing the branded lanyard.

Boho chic would’ve been very easy for Drew to pull off, so she opted for a modern day Pocahontas look instead.

She looks like she born to channel festival chic pairing her suede fringed top with khaki trousers and brown riding boots.

No wellies here.

The ombre hair with plaits totally works in this setting so I’m surprised she opted to wear that brown felt hat.

Are you loving this look as much as I am?

“Going The Distance” London Premiere – Drew Barrymore In McQ Alexander McQueen

The first thing I did before I had my cornflakes this morning was tweet about how excited I was that Drew Barrymore’s “Going The Distance” London Premiere was taking place tonight.

Sam tweeted “I hope she brings it like she did when promoting Grey Gardens!”, so my high expectations were shared.

Unfortunately they weren’t quite delivered.

Drew looks adorably quirky as always, but this two tone hair which is apparently become a trend again is one thing I just can’t get on board with.

I can get over her relaxed red carpet approach which is more TV appearance and photocall worthy. But that’s because her simple draped McQ Alexander McQueen dress was sexed it up with a Balmain belt.

I can even get over those YSL “you again?” Trib Two’s…but not the hair.

NYLON Magazine Party – Drew Barrymore In Vintage

Drew Barrymore sported a sexy bouffant and longer hair at the NYLON magazine party in New York last night.

The current NYLON cover girl looked gave us a retro 60s vibe with the hair and her multi-coloured mosaic-print chain-mail vintage dress.

Her dress which has an open back has a vintage quality to it from the material, the style and the print.

Drew brought the dress from Janine vintage store in Austin, Texas for only $25.

Nude heels are an ongoing trend on the red carpet as are YSL Trib Two’s, much to the chagrin of many of you, but Drew’s Trib Two’s work really well with her dress.

This is a new grown-up style for Drew. I really like it, but I hope quirky Drew continues to make an appearance on the red carpet.

Her promo tour for “Going the Distance” starts soon, so we’ll have plenty more Drew looks to swoon over.

Many of you believe you’ve already found your BDOTW.

Has Drew changed your mind?

Best Dressed Of The Week – Freida Pinto & Drew Barrymore

Freida Pinto was your favourite this week.

The Indian actress blew us all away wearing an Oscar de la Renta dress with Roger Vivier accessories.

It was the perfect comeback after months out of the limelight.

I was all for Freida this week until Drew totally inspired me to spend all of yesterday afternoon shopping in vintage stores trying to find a similar dress.

Her ‘easy breezy’ summery look was perfected with a nice twist of red accessories.

Happy 4th July to all you American readers.

Drew Barrymore’s Floral Inspiration

Dear Drew Barrymore,

When I saw you leaving the Skylight Studio in New York City yesterday after your photo shoot with fashion photographer Steven Meisel, it reassured me that celebrities are aware that summer time is upon us.

Please share this news with your colleagues, as most of them seem to think otherwise judging by long sleeved dresses and Fall 2010 red carpet looks.

Best FC x

PS I covet this look from head-to-toe ?

21st Annual GLAAD Media Awards – Drew Barrymore In Oscar de la Renta

Drew Barrymore didn’t walk the red carpet at the 21st Annual GLAAD Media Awards held in LA this weekend.

Instead we got to see her on stage as she accepted the 2010 Vanguard Award.

I’m grateful for this picture because we I can drool over her stunning pink cap sleeve Oscar de la Renta Pre-Fall 2010 dress with pink and silver paillette embroidery, plus a pink thin belt.

The dress with a pleated skirt was modified from the runway as the neckline is different.

I’m glad for this change because the runway look would’ve aged Drew.

I can picture Ms Wintour pulling off the runway version perfectly.

With her long blonde locks, Drew paired her look with silver strappy sandals.

I absolutely adore this look.
