Diane Kruger In Elie Saab & Osman – The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences’ Hollywood Costume Opening Party

Diane Kruger In Elie Saab & Osman - The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences' Hollywood Costume Opening Party

Diane Kruger attended The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences’ Hollywood costume opening party held at the Wilshire May Company Building on Wednesday (October 1) in Los Angeles, California.

Looking stunning from head to toe, the German actress wore a pretty black lace Elie Saab Spring 2014 dress, dialling down the girliness of the look with a sleek black Osman Fall 2014 blazer.

I love her Sophia Webster black and white strappy sandals, although I wouldn’t be surprised if some find them quite jarring with this look.

Charlotte Olympia’s quirky ‘Take Pandora’ clutch, quite apt for the evening, provided the finishing touch.

Had it not been for the blazer, this look would’ve been too cutesy for Diane. Does this look work for you?

Who Wore Christopher Kane Better…Diane Kruger or Lara Stone?

Who Wore Christopher Kane Better Diane Kruger or Lara Stone

Diane Kruger wore a Christopher Kane Pre-Fall 2014 dress with silver and cyan molecules cut from mesh and mirror appliqués which she styled with nude pumps while attending a press conference for ‘The Bridge’ back in July.

Lara Stone opted for the pink and silver version while taking to the red carpet with husband David Walliams earlier this month for the GQ Awards.

While Lara’s look was effortlessly styled with black peep-toes and a black clutch, I like Diane’s unexpected choice of nude on this occasion so she wins for me.

Diane Kruger In Chanel Couture – Ministere Of Culture

Diane Kruger In Chanel Couture - Ministere Of Culture

Diane Kruger received the insignia of Officer of the Order of Arts and Letters at a ceremony held at the Ministry Of Culture on Monday (September 22) in Paris, France.

Going back into the archives, or perhaps in this case her closet, the German actress selected a look from Chanel’s Fall 2007 Couture collection.

The navy halter tuxedo-inspired frock, which still holds up now with its contemporary peplum, has many more interesting elements such as the black sequin bodice underlay, contrasting black stitch detailing and bow accent.

I love that she selected this dress for such an honourable occasion and setting. Usually she’s all about getting the fresh-off-the-runway look first.

Retro waves and silver jewels including an ear cuff rounded out her chic Parisian look.

Do you love it or should this dress have stayed in the archives?

Diane Kruger In Prabal Gurung – InStyle 20th Anniversary Celebration

Diane Kruger In Prabal Gurung - InStyle 20th Anniversary Celebration2

After her time in Berlin just a few days ago, Diane Kruger attended the InStyle 20th Anniversary Celebration at the Paramount Hotel in New York City on Monday (September 8).

The star wore a swirl-printed crop top and belted silk pastel print skirt from the Prabal Gurung Spring 2015 collection.

This collection had just walked down the runway in New York two days prior, and Diane is the first star to rock one of the looks on the red carpet.

The look is really unique in cut, fit and style, and Diane seems the perfect fashion-forward lady to show it off in the ‘real’ world.

She paired the look with a bright pink Charlotte Olympia ‘Pandora’ clutch and white and gray ankle-strap pumps.

Her hair was pulled into a messy topknot, while the makeup was accent with bright fuchsia lip and metallic eyeshadow.

I love the fact that Diane embraced the exuberance of this look and really went for it with both the accessorizing and the makeup. While it would have been easy to push things toward the ‘too much’ zone, I think everything works together in this memorable head-to-toe look.

Diane Kruger In Prada – Boulevard Of Stars Berlin & IFA 2014 Consumer Technology Trade Fair Opening Gala

Diane Kruger In Prada - Boulevard Of Stars Berlin & IFA 2014 Consumer Technology Trade Fair Opening Gala

Diane Kruger had a busy day yesterday (September 4), first attending the Reopening of the Boulevard of Stars and then the IFA 2014 Consumer Technology Trade Fair Opening Gala, both in Berlin.

The star chose to wear two head-to-toe Prada looks for the day.

Boulevard of Stars: Diane kept things classic and chic at her first appearance of the day in a Prada black cady crepe dress with golden leather details and black suede ankle strap shoes. A classic gold watch, face-framing waves and a crystal encrusted headband complete the look.

IFA Gala: For her evening look, Diane was pure elegance in an apricot cady crepe Prada gown embellished with golden crystals, stones and glass tubes. Apricot satin shoes and a purple satin clutch were the icing on the cake. Diane is the definition of understated elegance here, and I love the pop of purple against the apricot. Amping up the makeup volume with gold smokey eyes makes her look perfect for a nighttime affair.

Diane Kruger In RED Valentino – ‘Japan Rive Gauche’ Exhibition Preview

Diane Kruger In RED Valentino - 'Japan Rive Gauche' Exhibition Preview

Diane Kruger attended the ‘Japan Rive Gauche’ Exhibition Preview held at Le Bon Marche on Tuesday (September 2) in Paris, France.

Taking a sartorial stance on the classic trench with this cheeky iteration from RED Valentino’s Fall 2014 collection, the swan collar lends a directional finish to this statement-making look.

Adding a further edge to the look with lace-up booties, Diane added an elegant flourish to her look with a Chanel bag.

Are you enjoying the whimsical look with an edge, or has Björk’s 2001 Oscars swan dress made you never able to look at a swan on clothing in a positive light again?
