Best Dressed Award
For the second time in a row Diane Kruger was my Best Dressed in Jason Wu.

I love usual mustard colour which we don’t often seen on the red carpet.

It doesn’t have that same WOW factor as Michelle Williams’ 2006 Vera Wang Oscar dress, but close enough.

Diane’s one shoulder draped gown oozes old Hollywood glamour.

Those ruby and gold earrings and red lips blow my mind.

Even though Diane Kruger was my Best Dressed at the Golden Globes, it was Camilla Belle who I fell in love with this week.

The actress looked completely flawless, from her make-up, her hair to her Giorgio Armani strapless dress.

At this point I think Camilla could turn up on the red carpet in a garbage bag and I would still fall in love as she’s so incredibly graceful.

You guys couldn’t split your love between Christina Aguilera in Versace and Diane Kruger in Christian Lacroix.

Those who voted for Christina said it’s the best she’s ever looked, and I would totally agree.

I believe Diane was chosen because she was the only one to take a risk on the red carpet at the Golden Globes snooze-fest.

Fingers crossed for the SAG Awards.

Thanks for your votes.

Before the Golden Globe Awards, Diane Kruger walked the red carpet with boyfriend Joshua Jackson at the BAFTA/LA’s 16th Annual Awards Season Tea Party in LA.

The German actress looked effortlessly beautiful wearing a pale pink Miu Miu Resort 2010 dress.

It may seem like a very casual look, but Diane still looks incredibly chic and sophisticated.

I love how the back fans out which creating the illusion of a cut out.

She paired her dress with a stand out purple clutch and a sexy pair of jewel encrusted Jimmy Choo “Quinze” sandals which are simply divine.

Her subtle pendent necklace decorates her dress, which isn’t big enough to distract or even be really noticed.

Best Dressed Award

I was a bit underwhelmed by this red carpet until I saw Diane Kruger.

Ever since I attended the Christian Lacroix Spring 2009 Couture show in January last year I’ve been praying to see this gown on the red carpet.

Diane more than does this stunning pink ombre gown justice. The colour really pops on the soggy red carpet on a cold and rainy night in LA.

I love the sleek old Hollywood hairstyle. She was really out to impress.

Her white Raven Kauffman Couture clutch matched the pretty white bow on the side of her dress.

Most Predictable Award

There would’ve been no prizes for guessing that Marion Cotillard would wear Christian Dior.

Style.com even predicted that exact dress she would wear.

Being the face of ‘Lady Dior’ helps, plus when we see her in Dior we always get spectacular results.

Her petrol green satin asymmetrical Spring 2010 dress has a thigh-high split with a black négligée peeping through.

Jimmy Choo ‘Drake’ sandals and Chopard jewels complete her look.

Biggest Shock Award

Courteney Cox walked the red carpet last night wearing a black strapless dress from Victoria Beckham’s Spring 2010 collection.

Like most pieces from VB’s collection the dress was well structured and had a ‘top to hem’ zipper along the back.

I liked the jeweled detail on the empire waist, and the chic updo Courteney sported.

Normally I don’t care much for Courteney on the red carpet, but she really surprised me by how great she looked.

She carried a black Jimmy Choo ‘Tube’ clutch.

Her husband actor David Arquette dutifully kept her dry from the pouring rain.

Best Couture Award

This is definitely one of those ‘better on screen look’s.  Unfortunately the picture isn’t doing Drew Barrymore any favours.

Her Atelier Versace Fall 2009 one shoulder champagne gown was stunning.

The nude corset was covered by a nude crystallized overlay, with two clusters of glass fringes on the shoulder and the hip.

Her hair was swept back as not to interfere with the details, as the actress wore Lorraine Schwartz jewels to complete her look.

It’s A Grower Award

I’ve been going back and forth with Julianne Moore.

I was just about to put her on the Worst Dressed list, when I decided that her Balenciaga Pre-Fall 2008 dress wasn’t as bad as I first thought.  Mostly because she looks so elegant.

The grey colour initially put me off this silk bustier gown, but I really like the pleated lace detailed neckline and her green Bvlgari earrings were magnificent.

Black suede Balenciaga stingray sandals complete the look.

Beautiful, Even When Slightly Wet Award

Chloe Sevigny would’ve been the most worried about getting her rose Valentino sleeveless gown wet as it would’ve deflated those beautiful ruffles.

But she was lucky to have a someone to help shield her dress from the rain.

Buccellati jewels complete the look.

Va Va Voom ‘Jessica Rabbit’ Award

Christina Hendricks has the most amazing body, which she always dresses so well.

She leaves me breathless in this stunning Christian Siriano Spring 2010 gown which was custom-made to hug those delicious curves.

She carried a Christian Loubuotin ‘Kephron’ silver clutch and wore Loree Rodkin jewels. Read more…

So much has happened this weekend, so I’ve closed the poll a bit earlier today.

Even if I had closed it a few hours later, Rachel McAdams would’ve still been your winner.

Rachel was every inch the Hollywood screen goddess wearing a green Alberta Ferretti asymmetric gown.

You loved her overall style including her Marcel waves and sultry red pout.

As much as many of you dislike Diane Kruger’s thigh-high boots, I wasn’t enough to put me off loving the German actress wearing this stunning Karl Lagerfeld navy dress with a futuristic bolero.

We had many wow moments this week, but this one was enough to make me say “She Shut It Down”.

As the poll is now on the next page, click here to see the results.

There will be a few more blog posts to follow, with many wow moments so keep checking back.

Best Dressed Award
Diane Kruger has been experimenting with shorter hemlines and edgier pieces, but last night she opted for ethereal elegance as she glided down the red carpet wearing an asymmetrical Donna Karan Spring 2010 gown.

Look as the way she’s working the hell out of this gown.

That backward S shape she’s making with her body is fully showing off the magnificent of this gown.

I knew she was only warming up at previous events.

Best Mini Award
Zoe Saldana has been on fire since the start of her “Star Trek” promo tour back in April last year, and that flame is still burning ever so brightly.

I was in a three-way split as to who to give the Best Dressed to – Diane, Zoe or Marion.

Diane got the vote, but Zoe was a very close second.

The “Avatar” actress wore a delightful Jason Wu Spring 2010 ivory mini draped foil dress with puffy sleeves, a bubble hem skirt and a black sash tied to the waist.

Her look was paired with Christian Louboutin white peep-toes with a black and yellow trim and animal print velvet bow which are oh so very cute.

Ding Ding Ding Jackpot Award
Dior + Marion Cotillard = Red Carpet Perfection.

This is the moment I have been waiting for since it was the ladies of the movie “Nine” started their promotional tour.

The stunning French actress wowed in a Christian Dior Spring 2010 two tone bustier gown, with gold embellishments fanning out over the skirt.

I love the pink clutch, but not so crazy about those necklaces.

Keeping It Simple Award
Abbie Cornish wore an Elie Saab Spring 2010 black sheath dress with structured shoulders paired with Bally criss cross heels.

I would’ve loved to have seen Abbie inject a bit of colour into this look via the clutch or shoes, but all in all I don’t hate this look

I’m however slightly disappointed that the subtle details of the dress are totally lost on the red carpet.

Bling Award
Emily Blunt loves to shine on the red carpet.  We often we see her in heavily embellished looks.

On this occasion she wore a Georges Chakra Fall 2009 Couture sequined dress, with fish-scale embroidery detail around the hem of the skirt.

I think this dress would’ve worked better for Emily had it been strapless, as I’m not so crazy about sheer yokes.

I’m crazy about her Diego Dolcini strappy heels though.

Most Disappointing Award
As much as we love Julianne Moore,  I just couldn’t fall in love with this red Lanvin Spring 2010 dress on her.

On the runway the dress is très magnifique, but the details fall flat off the runway therefore making lose interest in the dress.

Slowing Becoming A Red Carpet Favourite Award
Anna Kendrick walked the red carpet wearing an Elie Saab black knit gown.

Again you can barely make out the lace details on the skirt of the gown.

My only problem with this gown is the double straps, because it looks like she’s wearing a strappy vest top under her gown.

On The Fence Award
Carey Mulligan’s certainly makes this Marni black taffeta waterfall draped black gown work for her and her unique style.

The Marni accessories are the only thing stopping me from disliking this look.

It appears she loves the same designers as Anna Wintour  – Prada, Thakoon and Marni.

Ravishing In Red Award
No matter what Heather Graham wears always she injects a LOT of sexy appeal into her look.

Her asymmetrical red dress may look a lot plain, but the gold clutch and sultry pose make the overall look more appealing.

Best Shoes Award
I love the black fringe corseted Alberta Ferretti dress Sandra Bullock wore this event, but I think it fails to flatter her.

Her black satin Casadei platform heels are to-die-for.

Precious Award
Gabourey Sidibe walked the red carpet wearing a black satin cocktail Tadashi Shoji dress with a nude and black embroidered cap-sleeve bodice.

She completed the look with black sandals and a black satin shawl.

Still Got IT Award
I have goosebumps on my goosebumps marveling at how A-Friggin-Mazing Susan Sarandon looked wearing a sexy Dolce & Gabbana LBD.

It’s a style we’ve seen numerous of times on the red carpet, but that takes nothing away from how stunning Susan looks.

After her break up with Tim Robbins something tells me this was a statement making dress.

Yet Another LBD Award
After Ashley Greene gave us our first red carpet look at the J.Mendel Pre-Fall 2010 collection this week, Claire Danes gave us a second look.

She presented alongside Zachary Quinto wearing a J.Mendel Pre-Fall 2010 black dress with a draped shoulder detail.

I like that she broke up the black by adding a bronze pair of peep-toe heels.

January 13th, 2010

Another day, yet another well worthy BDOTW contender. I’m gonna have trouble photoshopping all this weeks looks onto one page.

Sorry Rachel McAdams but my eyes instantly locked onto Diane Kruger at the Berlin premiere of Sherlock Holmes.

The German actress shone so brightly on the red carpet wearing this Karl Lagerfeld Spring 2010 LBD with sculptured hips and a futuristic gold bolero.

I’m loving the new directing Diane seems to have taken on the red carpet.

We are seeing less gowns and more fashion forward minis some sexy, some edgy, some with a mixture of both.

Although I’m not a fan of the ‘Palmero’ (hairstyle). I do love it on Diane, as with her hair pulled back it doesn’t interfere with us marveling at that magnificent hardware.

As Rachel Zoe would say “she shut it down”.

I have a feeling…”oooohh ooohhh”…that Diane is going to be electric on the red carpet this year.

As much as I’ve gushed over Diane, Rachel McAdams was also knocked it out of the ball park in this stunning one-shoulder Alberta Ferretti Fall 2009 crinkled silk chiffon gown.

I much prefer her one-shoulder version as the material wraps around her body with more fluidity, plus I love the black sash tied around her waist.

Her hair and flawless make-up almost render me speechless. I much prefer this look to the London Premiere.

Yep…she’s a contender for BDOTW too.

January Jones was also at this premiere wearing a black mini Valentino dress with voluminous sleeves.

I’m not crazy about the overall look, as I wish she’s pulled her hair back as it feel like it’s competition for room on her the shoulders with the sleeves.
