Museum of Modern Art’s 8th Annual Film Benefit Honouring Cate Blanchett

Museum of Modern Art's 8th Annual Film Benefit Honouring Cate Blanchett

Chanel outfitted a handful of the stars who attended the Museum of Modern Art’s 8th Annual Film Benefit Honouring Cate Blanchett on Tuesday (November 17) in New York City.

Cate Blanchett: The queen of the night was of course decked out in Chanel Couture. A sighting of Cate in Chanel is as rare as a Victoria Beckham smile, yet this silk tulle and taffeta Fall 2015 Couture dress certainly piques my interest. Anyone else wishing for silver sandals here?

Diane Kruger: The German actress wore a Spring 2016 white and blue organza dress styled with a grey Chanel clutch, Giuseppe Zanotti metallic leather sandals and Chanel Fine Jewelry ring. I love this ultra modern dress bobbling up in sea of black gowns, yet the half-up, half-down hair isn’t working for me.

Rose Bryne: The pregnant star kept things simple and elegant wearing a Chanel halter with Chanel Fine Jewelry adding a touch of sparkle.

Diane Kruger In Monique Lhuillier – LACMA 2015 Art+Film Gala

Diane Kruger In Monique Lhuillier - LACMA 2015 Art+Film Gala

Diane Kruger attended the LACMA 2015 Art+Film Gala on Saturday (November 7) in Los Angeles, California, alongside her Gucci-clad beau Joshua Jackson.

We’ve always loved Diane’s unique style, but many of you have not been too enamoured by her red carpet looks of late.

Perhaps that’s because she’s gone from discovering up and coming designers, to going all “Hollywood” opting for red carpet designers like Monique Lhuillier.

Her second look a row from Lhuillier’s Spring 2016 collection is perhaps one of my favourites from Diane this year.

Not only because of the cool two shades of blue. My affection for this look stems from the sleek asymmetrical train, the intelligently tailored components and pops of pink.

If I could change one thing it would be the Chanel Fine Jewelry ‘Ciel Etoilé’ necklace as it feels so unnecessary, but I would say this is another win for Diane.

Do you agree?

Diane Kruger attended the Screen Actors Guild Foundation 30th Anniversary Celebration at the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts on Thursday (November 5) in Beverly Hills, California

Possessing plenty of structural volume, I love how her Monique Lhuillier Spring 2016 dress presents a modern impression with its textural grid fabrication.

Her chic piece was effortlessly styled with sultry cat-eyes, an L.K. Bennett clutch and Nicholas Kirkwood pumps with a pearl accent at the heel.

I’m sure many of you are wishing she wore the runway heels, but she looks great nonetheless.

Who Wore Cushnie et Ochs Better…Diane Kruger or Alesha Dixon?

Who Wore Cushnie et Ochs Better Diane Kruger or Alesha Dixon

Diane Kruger wore this Cushnie et Ochs Pre-Fall 2015 jumpsuit while attending the 2015 Venice Film Festival Opening Dinner back in September, a few weeks before Alesha Dixon who wore it tp Ant and Dec’s joint 40th party.

Both ladies look great, but I think the one-piece fits better in the waist and trouser department on Diane.

I also prefer her contrasting accessories.

Diane Kruger In Carolina Herrera – amfAR’s Inspiration Gala Los Angeles

Diane Kruger In Carolina Herrera S16 - amfAR’s Inspiration Gala Los Angeles

Diane Kruger attended the amfAR Inspiration Gala held at Milk Studios on Thursday (October 29) in Hollywood, California.

The actress wore a Carolina Herrera Spring 2016 pink sleeveless dress with a sheer embroidered overlay which she styled with Harry Winston jewels and a Charlotte Olympia clutch.

I wanted to love it, for the pretty pink hue alone, but I don’t find this very flattering.

In fact my first thought was that this should’ve been saved for a mother-to-be.

Diane Kruger In Preen – 2015 InStyle Awards

Diane Kruger In Preen - 2015 InStyle Awards

Diane Kruger attended the 2015 InStyle Awards at the Getty Center on Monday (October 26) in Los Angeles, California.

Considering Diane professing she was tired of embellished dresses during Cannes Film Festival, some might find this Preen Spring 2016 cut-out dress a tad hypocritical.

Well, to jump to her defence this isn’t like those dresses thanks to the creativity of Justin Thornton & Thea Bregazzi who lined this sheer piece with a striped underlay to give it a more unique feel.

Diane styled her look with dual colour Gianvito Rossi ‘Carey’ sandals and an Anya Hindmarch ‘Yes/No’ clutch.

So is it a yes or no for Diane’s latest red carpet look?

Diane Kruger In Jason Wu – 2015 Fashion Group International Night Of Stars Gala

Diane Kruger In Jason Wu - 2015 Fashion Group International Night Of Stars Gala

Diane Kruger attended the 2015 Fashion Group International Night Of Stars Gala at Cipriani Wall Street on Thursday (October 22) in New York City.

Like Michelle Monaghan, Diane also wore a look from the Jason Wu Spring 2016 collection, although their styles were completely different.

While the sheer trend has been overplayed, I have to say on this occasion the layered shirt with the sheer lace panels not only offers a peek-a-boo effect, but also some lightness and fluidity to an otherwise ordinary all black look.

The strappy Aquazzura sandals, along with the bold red lip and ear cuffs also play their part in making this a BDOTW-worthy look.

Balmain x H&M Collection Launch Party

Balmain x H&M Collection Launch Party 1

The Balmain x H&M collection made its global runway debut in front of a celebrity-packed audience in New York City on Tuesday (October 20).

Kendall Jenner, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Diane Kruger, Gigi Hadid, Ellie Goulding, Jourdan Dunn, Alexa Chung, Coco Rocha and Kylie Jenner were among the guests to get an exclusive look at collection designed by Olivier Rousteing.

As you would expect, many of Olivier’s classic pieces have been created for this high-street collection. While the celebs stuck to a black and green colour palette, many of the runway looks incorporated colour and embellishments.

As this collection doesn’t appeal, I will not be standing in line when it goes on sale November 5, but I do like Kendall, Rosie’s, Jourdan’s and Alexa’s sexy, yet powerful looks.

See the runway show here.
