We both picked British stars with a connection to Victoria Beckham for best dressed this week.
Emilia Clarke looked stunning in a Victoria Beckham gown for the ‘Games of Throne’ LA premiere, while Victoria’s hubby, David Beckham looked devilishly handsome in a sharp tailored suit for his ambassadorial duties in China.
Harrison Ford: In celebration of being the cover star of the latest issue of Michigan Avenue Magazine, Harrison was in attendance for a party at Chicago Cut Steakhouse on Monday. Looking as good as ever, he donned a well-tailored navy suit with wide notch lapels. His outfit included a pale-blue shirt and a printed navy tie.
James McAvoy: For the London premiere of the film ‘Trance’, James was in attendance on the carpet sporting a thickening red beard. Besides the facial hair, James wore a Prada navy silk suit. The notch-lapel suit seemed to fit him well. He matched it with a sky-blue poplin-stretch shirt.
David Beckham: The British football superstar attended a press conference held at the Shijia Hutong Primary School in Beijing, China today, where he was unveiled at the special ambassador for Chinese football. Always looking dapper when it comes to formal wear, David wore a charcoal-grey notch-lapel suit. He paired it with a white pinstripe shirt, a light-grey tie, and a pair of black lace-ups. The superstar looked even more handsome while having a kick-about with the kids, only removing his jacket while he showcased his skills on the playground.
H&M invited me to view their new ad to launch the David Beckham Bodywear collection, which was directed by Guy Ritchie at the Soho Hotel in London yesterday.
It was quite a fancy affair, with champagne, canapés and popcorn.
After the first viewing of the ad, the PR asked us if we wanted to watch the ad again; we all said yes for, erm, research purposes of course.
The ad shows David waving goodbye to his three sons (actors) in his dressing gown, which becomes caught in the door of the Range Rover.
He chases the Range Rover, jumping over hedges, which leaves him shirt-less, running through gardens, tennis courts and swimming through a pool which leaves him soaking wet.
Just when you think he is going to catch up with the car, it speeds off again and the ad ends with a coach full of tourists snapping the topless Becks before he continues to chase the car in his slippers.
The ad will air for the first time tonight in the UK on Channel 4 at 9.50pm.
The collection, which went on sale in store and online yesterday, features nine underwear styles for men with a focus on fit, function, comfort and design and comprising of briefs, boxers, vests, T-shirts, pyjamas and long johns.
Funny, then, that the majority of the people in the queue were women. I guess they queued for three hours to buy the bodywear for their sons, brothers and other halves.
Pictures from David Beckham’s debut Bodywear collection for H&M has finally been released.
This first collection introduces nine underwear styles for men which will go on to form the products of the long-term unique partnership between David Beckham and H&M.
Designed by David’s in-house team and sold exclusively at H&M, the focus is on fit, function, comfort and design, avoiding overt branding to present a range of new classics, comprising of briefs, boxers, vests, T-shirts, pyjamas and long johns.
The result of eighteen months of research and development, the collection aims to set a new standard in men’s bodywear for the 21st century. Available from 2nd February 2012 in 1,800 H&M stores worldwide as well as on-line.
