Dior Men’s Summer 2019 Ready-to-Wear Show

On Saturday (June 23), Kim Jones presented his first Dior Men’s collection for Spring 2019, but it as the women in the front row who stole the show.

Naomi Campbell: The supermodel is having a moment with loose-fitted suits, and I loving it. This Dior Men’s by Kim Jones look has a super relaxed feel about it. Kept contemporary with the asymmetrical cuts, the only thing that I’m not feeling are the embellished sneakers.

Kate Moss: Also in Dior Men’s by Kim Jones, the supermodel always has a “I just rolled out of bed and threw this on” vibe. On this occasion, it could very well be true with her super chic PJ set.

Bella Hadid: Never one to blend into the background, the model opted for the brightest look of the day in this Dior Men’s by Kim Jones yellow suit. Like Naomi’s this was also contemporary in its design plus it also possessed a boxy silhouette. Again, the sneakers didn’t work for me.

The Alliance For Children’s Rights 26th Annual Dinner Red Carpet Roundup

A bevy of beauties stepped out at The Alliance For Children’s Rights 26th Annual Dinner on Wednesday (March 28) in Beverly Hills, California, joining Lisa Edelstein.

Christine Evangelista: ‘The Arrangement’ actress made a cheerful statement in a golden yellow dress. The formfitting silhouette was enlivened with a draped shoulder detail that extended around to the back. It proved that a sunny hue and well-chosen details can be just as impactful as head-to-toe embellishment.

Darren Criss: Forgoing black or brown, the ‘American Crime Story: Assassination of Gianni Versace’ actor cut a dapper figure in a slim oxblood suit. Coupled with the gray shirt and black tie, it was a striking combination. It’s too bad about the fit on the trousers as they appear to be pulling.

Gina Torres: The ‘Suits’ actress showcased her statuesque beauty in separates. The sleek pencil skirt paired with the polka dot blouse have a refined elegance and celebrated the new season.

Menswear Red Carpet Roundup

The guys have been out in force over the past few days. Here’s a look at what they were wearing.

Tye Sheridan: At the ‘Ready Player One’ European premiere in London on Monday (March 19), warmth was a key part of Tye’s Burberry Tailoring double-breasted suit and overcoat—as opposed to some of the ladies on the red carpet like Tallia Storm. The striped, collarless dress shirt underneath was an intriguing way to finish the dapper look.

Edgar Ramirez: With a retro-forward, brown suede Brunello Cucinelli Fall 2018 suit and colour-block sweater, Edgar fit in perfectly as he joined Judith Light at the For Your Consideration event for FX’s ‘The Assassination of Gianni Versace’ on Monday (March 19) in LA.

Matthew Rhys: At the season 6 premiere of ‘The Americans’ on Friday (March 16) in Washington, D.C., alongside Keri Russell, Matthew looked sharp in one of my favoured suit shades: aubergine. I do think this Rag & Bone ensemble would have been fine without the black tie and belt.

2018 Oscars & Oscar Parties Menswear Roundup

Many of the men brought their A game to the 2018 Oscars and Oscars parties, including the Vanity Fair Oscar Party and Elton John’s AIDS Foundation Academy Awards Viewing Party on Sunday (March 4) in California.

Chadwick Boseman: The ‘Black Panther’ star continued his reign of sartorial power in this Givenchy Haute Couture suit that was inspired by a full look in the Spring 2018 collection. However, I love how he made the long, embellished jacket his own—sleekly styling it with black shirting and trousers and the zipper-accented shoes.

Donald Glover: This Gucci tux such a handsome-luxe approach with the velvet jacket taking it to the next level in partnership with the relaxed-suave appeal of the slipper shoes. A David Yurman ring completed the look.

Tom Holland: Sometimes double-breasted jackets can come across as a bit contrived, but I love how Tom wore this Hermès suit so sharply. It was a standout on the Oscars red carpet with his Piaget watch adding that final touch.

Esquire’s Annual Maverick’s Of Hollywood

Esquire’s Annual Maverick’s Of Hollywood was held on Tuesday (February 20) in LA, celebrating 23 women and men who are taking creative risks and making bold, innovative work in Hollywood.

Angela Sarafyan: Earlier in the day, Angela had us seeing red—and she continued working the striking colour here. However, the distinct lingerie mood and sheer elements of this Milly look will no doubt land as successfully as her prior entrance did. Had the skirt been lightly lined, I think we’d all be on board.

Donald Glover: I love a good statement jacket, and that was never more true than in this Dolce & Gabbana Spring 2018 heart motif letterman’s jacket that didn’t skimp on playfulness. I do wish he had paired it with something less formally traditional than pleated trousers.

Lydia Hearst: This Fausto Puglisi Fall 2017 look is a tough one to take off the runway, given its experimental edge. As the coat was already halfway off her shoulders, the overall ensemble may have presented as slightly less haphazard had she just removed it. Read More…

‘The Assassination Of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story’ LA Premiere Menswear Roundup

In addition to Billie Lourd, Lea Michele, and Penelope Cruz, a trio of men were on the red carpet for the LA premiere of FX’s ‘The Assassination Of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story’ on Monday (January 6) in Hollywood, California.

Edgar Ramirez: I always love to see a man colour outside the lines of a standard black suit, and this aubergine number fit the bill. Part of me was wishing for a slightly livelier tie, though, rather than this tonal, brown-ish version.

Darren Criss: The style-forward decorative impact of this abstract floral Emporio Armani jacket cannot be denied. It added such a snazzy, luxe twist on Darren’s sleek black look.

Ricky Martin: Suave with a scarf, the Latin entertainer showed how hot cool navy tones can be.
